I installed the latest Dash 8 files from the PSS web site (brand new install). The first time I selected the Dash 8, it hung my system. I re-booted my machine. Next I loaded FS 2004 and attempted to load the Dash 8. It loaded, but when I clicked on FLY the Loading Scenery got to 30% and then my system HUNG again.The Dash 8 is the ONLY aircraft in my fleet that has this problem. ALL other aircraft load and fly properly.PLEASE ADVISE!!!!!!I also posted this on the PSS Forum.Barry

Is there something wrong with my FS9 istallation? Over a period of time I've downloaded freeware airports from the files library, the latest being Algiers Houari Boumediene Airport (DAAG) By Riad GHENIM, Only to find that some of them, while taxiing or even being stationary at the airport and nowhere near buildings or other aircraft, the plane is involved in a collision.Or, is this just poor airport building by the authors. It's really very good of people to provide this freeware and I appreciate their efforts very much but it's very frustrating, especially after a long flight, that it all ends that way! I have recently installed the California and Arizona with a little of Las Vegas from Rob Gainer and I must say I am impressed. It does seem to greatly improve the visual qaulity of the mountains and trees, and perhaps some of the landclass as well. I am however surpriesed it didn't get rid of the snow in Las Vegas which I was hoping. I don't know why but snow in Las Vegas really bugs me because it is really unrealistic to have. I wish there was a way to get rid of it. So my question is does Rob Gainer's Nevada scenery improve the landclass in Las Vegas to get rid of the snow or is this just something you have to live with. I have the FS2004 New Orleans scenery made by Glenn Johnson, and I would like to remove the FedEx and UPS static planes that are in the scenery. I have the static aircraft remover program (remover10.zip) but Im not sure how to use it to remove those static planes. Can anyone help me out?

Good Morning Guys,I have been using FS2004 since it came out and I have just started to have issues with opening certain doors.When I use any aircraft, pay ware or free and it has an option of opening a second set of doors FS wont let me. For example I have the open and close door assigned to 'd'. When I press d, the main door opens and when I press it again it closes. However for example when using the IFDG A320 by pressing D + 2 I am meant to be able to open the other cabin doors. When I do this on my system it just closes the main door and ignores the command '+ 2'. It does not seem to matter which aircraft it is, all aircraft, free or pay ware are affected.On my …

Just wander what other simmers might think/wish MS was working on as there highlights of there next version taking in fact that all bugs of FS9 get fixed? In FS9 it was the weather engine, the new GPS, the Learning Center and the clickable VC's that made the press releases. My list for FS10 would include dramatically improved ATC procedures, functions and new features, new voice files with international dialects, and pilot controlled lighting.

Trying too back off a little on the pay ware and took a likeing to the default Baron in fs9. Is that a good air file or is there some thing better out there? Louis cva 2488 ---ML2488

Hii if someone can help me it will be grate I had Fsmeteo for along time and it is all work perfect.But in the last time I get some hard problem:When I press on start It is start download all the weather for my current location and display it in the fsmeteo application but I get nothing in the simulator (clear sky)In Fsmeteo is give me full METAR then I listen to the ATIS but there is not the same as in the METAR in Fsmeteo what can I do?Any way thanks a lot Esh.

I've heard some of you guys talking about requesting clearance before starting your engines. It all makes sense but I can't turn on the avionics without turing on the engines. Any help would be appreciated thanks!

I was saddened to realized when wanting to fly from New York to London that the default MSFS 2004 does not have any transatlantic routes. When plotting a course, the flight planner sent the course all the way out to alaska then over the north pole just to get me to London.Does anyone know if there are scenery add-ons which add these missing oceanic coordinates so that direct routes can be planned? Much thanks beforehand.

A lot of my AI traffic is old propliners. The problem is that MS ATC keeps hounding them to expedite their climb to ___ft over and over again every few seconds until I can't stand it and change the frequency. Does anyone know of a fix for this or if any of the SDK's offer any insight into how to change this? Thanks.

I have just downloaded Erick's superb new 732. I have tried migrating some of the textures across from the older version, however some have turned up very, very blurry. This is only in the preview screen, I haven't had a chance to look in the sim itself.Anyone know the best way to rectify this, or do I need to put the older model back in for these ones?Thanks in advance.

installed aardvark 747's in fs2004 but they are not showing up in aircraft list, although i can actually assign them to ultimate traffic in utilities section of UT, anybody had same problem, i can't see any probs with aircraft config and using latest models, the 757's i have installed work fine, i'm totally confused by it.Paul.

For the past two to three months I have had a hell of a time with computer crashes while running flight simulator and other programs.I have an Asus P4G8X motherboard, 2.8Gz Pentium 4, ATI Radeon 9700 Pro, Creative Audigy 2 Platinum, 1Gb RAM and 2 Serial ATA harddrives (Seagate Barracuda 120 Gig & 160 Gig). At first, I just had the 120 Gig drive, and I experienced no problems for the the first 5 or 6 months after I built the computer. Hey guys,When taking off on a runway when having real-world weather set, it's quite often the wind will try to run the plane off the runway. It really blows that sucker way off the centreline. My queston is this: Does this much of a wind-blow really occur in real-life when planes are zooming down the runway to the point where the pilot is fighting on the joystick to keep the plane ont he runway? It just seems that when I fly, the planes have no problem keeping a straight line when going down the runway to take-off. How much of a rudder degree correction do I need to keep the plane heading straight ont he runway? On one hand, I'd like to keep the realism with the real…

I see you locked the PSS Dash 8 thread that I started. Again, "whatever". But the point of the post was that I could not figure out a way to contact PSS via their own web site! Nowhere on it could I find the email address that you supplied. Had they had a contact point that did not require a "validated login", I would've had no reason to make that post.Thanks to the other respondents re: freeware alternatives. I have just come across the new freeware scenery for WIII (Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta, Indonesia) by Budi Santoso. It is one of the best freeware sceneries I have ever come across, IMHO, when considering both FPS-friendliness and detail. (Yes, there are more detailed sceneries around, but what$B!-(Bs the use of those when you can$B!-(Bt get decent frame rates without a high-end computer?) It also comes with animated vehicles and automated maintenance vehicle armada.Very, very fine work!

The V35 Bonanza has a reasonably large red light on the upper rim of the Panel. I have assumed that it is a master annunciator alarm, but have never been able to figure out how to estinguish it, and have overlooked any reference to it in the documentation. Anybody know whether it has any function in FS or not?Thanks:RTH
