does anyone know what the exact one they use mine seems a bit offshane

Well, do it. It turned up in my letter box yesterday, installed it last night and this thing is fantastic!To see Air New Zealand planes zipping around has made my day/week/month/year.I have a wee issue that when I load the TCAS, I lose some of the default keys in FS ( "W" for example to get full screen ), but I'm sure there's an explanantion somewhere for this that I've missed.For years I've avoided "add-on's" to my sim for fear of ruining it's natural process and bogging up my machine.Man, was I wrong!Buy it. Yesterday I experienced a crash-to-desktop (CTD) while approaching Juneau airport (PAJN) from the south. As I saved my flight a few seconds prior to the CTD, the CTD is reproducible by simply reloading the saved flight.QUESTION: Does anybody know of any such CTD "Bermuda Triangles" near Juneau?Here

Yesterday, I tried to purchase the FS9 update for the Carenado Beechcraft V35 Bonanza.Since my previous purchase from Carenado, I have gone from dialup to high speed cable internet service. Therefore, I have a new email address.I discovered that in order to be recognized by Carenado, my account required my previous email address, which of course now was no longer valid. I hope it brings happiness and prosperity to everyone on this board!I'd just like to offer my opinion on the newly released FS Force program.I've heard negative things about it, and I understand its based on people's experiences with it.I've got the trial version, and I find that its at least 100 times better than the default FS2004 FFB. Why? The FFB which comes with FS2004 is horrible, with it's laggy FFB response etc.Before you jump to conclusions about the product, make sure you read the readme documentation and turn OFF the FFB in flight simulator, and make sure you understand how the trim system that comes with FS Force works. After a new install of WinXP and all other software ,when I ran FSMetar I got the"missing comdlg32.ocx" error(and the others as well).After d/l the missing files from activex.microsoft, I ibnstalled them - problem was where did they have to go - I finally put copies of the missing files in both Windows/system and also system32.Fine - everything works OK - my question is just this - which folder is the correct one - system or system32?(I'm guessing that it's 32)Dave

Hello!I "suddenely" stopped seeing the smoke effect when the aircraft touches down! I've tried few approaches, like reinstalling FS9 and trying the original aircraft without any upgrades, checking the aircraft.cfg files for the entries relevant to this effect, reverting to the older Radeon drivers, only thing I did not try is reinstall XP. But I also don't think that this brings much.I've checked with all possible planes, both GA and Heavies, deom 737, 747 and 777 original, and PSS and PMDG aircraft. None give that nice tire smoke effect when one touches down. And I simply cannot find the solution!Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I would like to add some missing intersections into FS2002. Can anyone help me with this. Do I need special software? Thanx Guys! (And Gals!).

Hi: Is there a way to change the way ATC routes your plan when approaching an airport? I usually get a direct route and ILS Rwy info about 89 to 96 miles out from my destination airport with several more check points still to fly. Since I am using small single engine planes I would like to continue flying till I am closer to the airport before being vectored like a large jet. Any Ideas? Thanks....Al

Is this just me or will this happen to others. Flying on High Altitude jetway J8 every time I get to within 56 miles of the VOR HVQ I get hard drive activity and then the FS9 error message pops up saying it needs to close. I tried this 4 times in 4 different aircraft so I'm assuming I can recreate the crash time after time. The last two being default aircraft. And by the 3rd time was able to predict when it was going to happen within a half a mile. I don't have any add on airport scenery anywhere near this area. Hi All, Hope this is the right forum. I have had FS9 installed with no problems for at least 9 months. Yesterday right after deleting the latest Netsky virus, it quit opening. I tried every which way to open it and no go. I decided to uninstall and reinstall. Well, none of the uninstall gadgets would work so I wound up uninstalling file by file. I also deleted all references to FS9 in the registry (XP Pro) and then reinstalled. Now, the splash screen comes up and then it stops. Task Manager says FS9 is not responding. It also says my cpu usage is 100%. When I end the task the usage drops to 1%. I ran a complete virus scan (Mcafee) and found my system clean (it…

It seems FSD's forum site is down because I haven't been able to post there nor have I seen any recent post from anyone in a few days (or weeks). Anyway I just have to say most of the updates FSD has offered for FS2k4 (raindrops, clickable gauges, etc.) are great and top notch. Especially the Cheyenne (still can't tune radio's from within the VC)...;) The only problem I have is with the Seneca update. The VC updates are poorly done... No click spots on the overhead panel and most of the lower panel is still inactive (light's, avionics switches, etc.)... The Seneca is a beautiful plane and I hope this is not all FSD is going to offer for it. I'm really holding my brea…

A few years ago, I purchased Abacus "Private Pilot Training" for FS2000, which I liked very much for the good modeling of the Socata TB-10 Tobago and TB-20 Trinidad (IMO, the best for MSFS).With FS2002, these aircrafts were working fine, but some problems could appear if you tried to use these aircrafts for the AI traffic (some parts were ignored).In FS2004, whatever you do, some parts are not drawn (see the attached screenshot), the cone and the propeller. Firstly I realise this question could go in th PSS Forum, but, I wanted to make it more general.I have opened the PSS SIDS and STAR files with Wordpad and think I can understand most of the info, but, I want to edit it and save it as a dat file, so I can check my new SIDS, how can I save it in the correct format?ThanksTerry

I would like to design my own aircraft or perhaps edit an already made aircraft but I have 2 problems.I have Gmax currently installed but when I open the model file Gmax can't read it.This same thing occures with the textures but with them i get a blank screen.I have a program to get the textures but is there a program to get the model file out or do I need a diffrent program.My secound problem is that Gmax can only save in the Scenery file type and not a model do I need to download the extras?
