Recently installed an AFCAD2 file downloaded from AVSIM for one of Gary S' uk airfields. All taxi patterns etc were ok but I found the following ATC oddities:1. After getting taxi clearance I could change to tower freq and request TO clearance straight away - even sitting at the gate.2. AI aircraft call for taxi ok and follow the correct taxi path but they taxi straight onto the runway without calling for TO clearance. They thenstop on the runway with no further movement or radio calls. I am getting crazy trying to set the weather to be the most realistic possible.I tried Real world weather (that comes with FS), then Active Sky and then FS Metar, and Vatsim weather when flying online.Above the others, I prefer Active Sky because it causes the best turbulence, and with low clouds density, FPS remain acceptable. I use it to the point that when I fly online I have the program running. The only problem that I have with Active Sky is that I am not being able to have any wind when I am on the runway, taking off or landing, and the winds start blowing like at 1k ft AGL. I thought I was being lucky and winds were calm, but then tried with FS Metar and real world…

Hello there, Here is coupe screenshorts of my new DHC-2 "Beaver" model. At this stage I decide to announce you something I already done. Now main work is interior and panel, so it would be very helpful if anybody could help me with good historical photos of "Beaver" interior. All screens were made at FS2002 just because its impossible to "fly" at FS2004 on my comp... Is there a limit to the number of acft in the Aircraft folder before FS9 starts having problems? (beyond taking forever to boot up and/or change acft *grin*)I've suddenly been having intermittant crashes for no real reason. While troubleshooting the crashes, I ruled the number of acft possibility out. But it raised the question for curiosity's sake.

Hi all,I'd just like to ask about winds aloft in FS2004. Am I correct in saying that they are randomly generated? if they are, how can I check what they are going to be (size and direction). It's a great pain when it comes to using FSbuild because I can't take into account winds and the fuel loads are always a bit thin. i'm away until sunday so if I don't reply, please don't think that I am being rude.CheersRic

I've downloaded a Piper Arrow and the landing and taxi lights don't light up the ground. Can I correct this in the aircraft.cfg file?

By mistake I deleted the Mooney Bravo! Is it possible to reinstall it without doing a reinstall of FS2004? This was the standard aircraft model included in FS2004. Perhaps e-mail me the aircraft folder?Thanks,Jim B.

HiI have tried to search the forum for this info, but can't find it. I am about to fly to Achorage Alaska for the first time, but I can't find any terminal chart information. Im have decided to buy a few payware airports, I want 5 of them but Im only going to get like 1 or 2 for now and I can't decide which ones to get first.My choices are Simflyers Frankfurt, Simwings Madrid, Fly to Caribe (not the full pack, but one that has like 3 airports in the download) Simflyers Toronto, and Simwings Canary Islands.So which 1 or 2 should I buy first? Hello,I am now using a Project Magenta setup on a three node network. One shortcoming of the system was the number of mice/keyboards when flying the sim. As you may know, the PM system puts different controls (CDU/MCP/Glass Cockpit) on different screens than the FS2004 sim. It does not run well on multiple screens on one computer (too much processing)I found a post on the Project Magenta Forum that noted a product called Desktop Rover. Hi,I saw some screenies of aircraft touching down, and their tire smoke effect was definetly smaller than the one I can observe on my aircraft.I thought there must be a new effects file that decreases the size of this effect, as my aircraft produce an amount of smoke on touchdown that I would regard as explosion ratger than a bit of burned rubber.If someone knows about a new effect file, please tell me.
