I can only find 2 settings relating to crashes - one says to ignore crashes and the other says to detect crashes and automatically reset the flight. Does anybody know how to get the sim to detect a crash but NOT automatically reset the sim. It would be great to view an instant replay of my crashes to try to see form an externakl view ehre I went wrong in my approach.Barry

Hi!I tried Adrian Esdaile's Boomerang (rutan_boomerang.zip). It has an Apollo SL30 radio. I was able to set the ADF frequency as expected with the knobs on the right, but the same approach simply did not work for the Comm or Nav frequencies. Neither could I find any other way to set them.I can't help feeling I am being really stupid, but is there something I am missing?regards,Alan

Well, I was having a great flight today, PBI to STS in the ES Citation X. Was descending through 10k when I start to get stutters, bad. I have no idea why this is happening as the rest of the flight was very smooth. I have renamed the autogen.xml file to get rid of that problem. I was flying online with AS2004 and RXP 530, but I usually don't have a problem handling that with:AMD3200+K8V Deluxe9800 Pro1 gig RAMIs this a driver problem? Any ideas?Thanks for any input.

I don't own the Aerostar from FSD, but I have everything else. I love the T-39 Talon, but it seems that it's only for FS2002. Any patch for FS 2004? Stan

Hi All,Sorry to Drag this subject up again...Today I was trying a flight from EHAM (Default) to Faro.Evry time I was taxing out to the runway, I got a CTD. It seemded to be always triggered by switching views. I do have a lot of AI traffic from a mixture of UT and PAI and im using UT AFCADS for default scenery and the afcads that come with my payware/addon scenery. I was using Active sky.Now I just tried another flight from Torino in Italy to faro and so far so good im about 1.5 hours in to the flight and no CTD.Does anybody know whats going on? I am using the Fs2004 9.1 patch, but im getting a little scared as its bringing back memories of the pre patch CTD's. My FS has …

I made the error of trying to install the latest version of FS Real Time without uninstalling the older version first (I will learn my lesson). I have looked everywhere to try and find Joshua Robertson's email but i stumbled across your page on route. I am therefore trying to see if you could kindly help me. I get an error message saying 'unable to load intialization file'...then 'FS Real Time must first be Uninstalled'. However when I try to uninstall it I get the same error message 'unable to load intialization file'Could you please help me resolve this?I really would appreciate it.Paul

My dad gave us his Flight Simulator 98 and Sidewinder Force Feedback Pro (circa late 1997, I believe). My son (8) has been trying to run it on our machines (varying ages, but figure average is a year 2002, P3 class machine, say ~500Mhz, 128M of RAM, mediocre graphics card, etc.)It crashes all the time - hard - machine just spontaneously reboots. I'm guessing it was never meant to be run on win 2k anyway.My question - what would be a good version (that's still sold, hopefully) of Flight Simulator to get him for Christmas? I'm afraid that 2004 would just bring the system to its knees. Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hii've recently started messing with afcad files.and have started adding my own,now i have come across a afcad file that is not a BGL,but a txt file??.do i need to compile it with TTools doesnt say in the folder where i put it..(please refrain from obvious comment):-eek any help appreciated steve

Is there any way to tell when you purchase FS2004 off the shelf in a store, if you are getting the lastest version, another words if I could get 9.1 what would I look for on the label of the box, or is the 9.1 just available through a download? Thanks.Andy

I had been using a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro with FS9 and had been quite happy with it until it started losing calibration constantly. At first I would be unable to use the right rudder. Eventually I couldn't use the ailerons to turn right either. Unplugging it and plugging it back into the USB port would help for a few minutes but then it would fizzle out again. Then it got so, when I was flying, it would suddenly pitch hard right and got so I could barely fly at all. A lot of people complained about the same thing on their website but apparently they had no desire to fix it. They did replace some people's sticks but the replacements would do the same thing in a matt…

Does anybody know the correct pitch angles for this beautiful bird?I get a cruise pitch angle at normal Mach speed of zero; pitch angles during descent of -3 to -4 degrees at VS of -2000 to -3000 fpm; and approach pitch at the recommended "China-graph" Vat speed of -1 deg to the threshold. These may be correct, but after flying Boeings for years with pitch-UP in most phases, flying the VC-10 feels rather strange and I am wondering if these pitch angles are normal.I'd ask David Maltby, but he's posted a note saying he cannot answer any emails at this time.I appreciate any assistance on this, thanks!JS

Hi,I took a rather large detour on my around the world trip today to visit the Great Barrier Reef just to learn that there is no reef in FS?! Or is this a shortcoming of the MyWorld landclass? No reef at all just plain water. I find it hard to believe that MS as well as Burhard Renk have let out one of the most amazing wonders of the World. Sumpn wrong here?Alex

Hi guys,Just a quick heads up for PC Pilot magazine and their cover disc with the FS9 update. For all of us here in the UK with a dial up connection this is a brilliant addition to the magazine for those of us unable to download from Microsoft.I ran the installer direct from the supplied disc and all was done in a matter of moments....great!So its a big thanks to PC Pilot magazine which may be of use to some of you...Bobiow.

I think I want to fly the heavies. I looked at PMDG's 737NG because I was pointed to that direction by FS2Crew which excited me to no ends. However, to get to the FS2Crew it would cost me over 90.00 with shipping & handling. That is, I would have to by PMDG's 600/700, 800/900 or something like that with FS2Crew. I refuese to submit. So, would anyone know of a program that comes close to the PMDG 737. I will wait for FS2Crew's compatibility.

Hi, Just starting to get to grips with the Learjet 45. I notice there is no Cat II autoland or TCAS included by default. Are there any addons for these features?Thanks.
