Looking for, of course, a lean and effective spyware removal/preventer. I am using AVG antivirus currently, and wish to stay away from any heavy overhead programs. Thanks in advance,Noel

Besides the Abacus Twin Otter, is anyone else doing this aircraft? I personally don't think too highly of the Abacus version, and I know there was a really good freeware version available, however is any payware maker doing this? Its one of the most popular short/med hop planes in the world (from the antartic to Alaska) and is an awesome plane.

  3. Hi all.I looked at the DC2 "Uiver" flight schedule of the 1934 England- Australia Race, here is the jpg located:http://www.avsim.com/hangar/flight/dc2uive...ne_race_eng.htm I wanted to refly the same race at the same scheduled time.In my dreams only! I used the R4D DC3,I expected this plane to easily make it.(the original DC2 had 4 flight crew and even 3 passengers!)Using direct GPS and going 155-160 knots,(I could not give it any more throttle!) i could not even make it. I flew from Bagdad to Jask,(842.34 nm) my GSP said: ETA in about 6.10 hours or so.the original schedule said flying time: 5.13hours.Middenhall to Rome (792.70 nm) takes me half an hour longer going top …

It's been a while since I actively participated in FS development (the VATSIM server back in 1997), but after 7 years, I'm finally back!I'd like to introduce my new FS addon: FSEconomy, the most expensive addon in the history of FlightSimming. The system is freeware and will remain freeware, but a lot of virtual money is involved.I've always found it strange that their are no real economical addons for Flightsim. The closest I've seen is FSMaintenance, but it was very single player oriented. I wanted a community of people that share planes! So once again I started to created something and I hope people will like it. I've made it this far and it's now officially in beta fa…

hi,i tried a couple of days ago, i'll see if anyone has any ideas.i have an unusual problem with ohare. i'm sure the cause is me messing about with afcad or scenery. i cant remember everything i've done, but the jist is that i'd like to find a way to restore kord to its default state, so i can start over. however even when i get rid of everything i've added, i end up with weird textureless, innacurate tarmac plastered over the airport. - see attached imageany ideas?

Hi Folks:This screen shot was attached to the recently released UPS iFDG MD-11 repaint by Vincent v/d (what does v/d stand for?) Hof. I've never personally seen a cloud pattern like this one (see photo) and I fly airliners IFR at high altitudes almost exclusively. Any ideas whos textures these are?http://www.2decker.com/media/solent1-2.JPAlex ChristoffN562ZBaltimore, MDhttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/100001.jpg

I have searched the forums for some information and not found any...as well as being chastised for posting to the incorrect forum :-)Anyway, remember how Squawkbox has several point files which are delimited text files with waypoint, navaid, and fix data? Provided you kept within the proper format, you could add your own points to these files and construct a route within the confines of SB utilizing these points, and couple the quasi-FMS to the FS autopilot, as well as display your route points within Sqawkbox.Well, obviously the FS GPS has point data stored somewhere, and I would imagine that the same data is used by the flight planner to build routes. Anybody know where…

Hi all,I am looking for some feed back from all of you who purchased FS addons from Bill Lyon with a Paypal payment. This is my first purchased through Papypal. On november 28 I ordered the Custom Classic VII from Bill Lyon. The same day I got a receipt from Paypal and my Credit Card account has been billed (I checked with Visa and the transaction has been completed). Having received no message from Bill Lyon, I sent him an e-mail last week, asking if he had received a payment from Paypal...and got no answer. As I have no experience with Paypal and before taking the big step and asking Visa to cancel this transaction for fraudulous commercial activity, I wanted to lear…

Just done a brief circuit around LFLB, and having seen the stunning scenery and terrain (just like Innsbruck) on photos, I couldn't resist but to try it out. A few UK airlines fly here, and it would be great to recreate it in FS.But as I found out, I REALLY need approach plates for this airport, as I nearly went into a mountain lol.http://planepictures.net/netshow.php?id=285248Anyone?ThanksWill

  18. Started by Randall,

A couple of control problems have prevented me from fully transitioning to FS9, the worst of which is the fact that the pitch trim runs way too fast. This boils down to me only being able to make coarse changes in pitch -- unless I do it manually with the trim wheel. This seems to be related to the repeat speed for the switches that operate the trim. Only three positions are available; with the slider in the leftmost (slowest position) there is no repeat at all, but using the middle setting is to fast. I need an intermediate value, but the parameter that this sets in FS9.cfg doesn't seem to accept fractional values. In FS2002, I set this to the center position and it s…

Hi everyone I have recently made the leap from Fs2000 to Fs2004. On my first flight I selected the Lear 45 ( I only fly this aircraft ). CLimbing from take off I select the desired heading, altitude buttons and vertical speed selector buttons. Confirmation that this has been done can be seen in the cockpit with the pink indents depicting what my desired heading and altitude buttons are. I hit the auto pilot button and everything kicks in fine except the climb rate. I have selected my Vertical Speed Hold Selector at 1,800 ft per min. Yet the Vertical speed indicator refuses to recognise this and the pink ident button remains at 0. This means should I wish to climb to say 3…

hello to all simmers,i'm looking for ground textures for europe (especially germany), i use to have on my FS2002 a long time ago. i can't remember how they were called, or if i bought them, cause i haven't had a computer for almost one year, and gave away all my fs stuff.i think it was freeware, and i don't know if they work in FS2004, but they had this great effect: the groud was more realsitic concerning the amount & position of forrests, fields, cities and water.i remember, that the sourrounding area of EDDM was really realistic, not like the default scenery, wehere too much forrest is shown. i hope you know what i mean...i don't know weather this is called "landcl…

After the recent thread on prices at the end, I got to thinking, "What are the payware bargains?" I realize that this is an elastic term, and depends mainly on (a) your income level and (:( what you value. (E.g., for some people, Misty Fjords is a bargain, relative to how much fun they will get out of it and how much work Sandmann put into it. I think it looks great, but at the current rate of exchange, it's simply out of my price range.) So, to make the question more pointed (and therefore make it more interesting), I'm going to define bargains here as less than $15 (US).I nominate Bill Lyon's "Golden Hawaii," which includes two wonderful aircraft and a lot of cool scene…
