I'm coming here before I reinstall FS9. Here is the situation. When I try and start FS9 I get the startup screen and then it disappears..... that's it! I'm not new to this but I can't figure out what's going on. The last thing I installed was the SAS DC9 from the Sweden pilot, (know which one I mean?) Anyway I've uninstlled it but still no FS9. I thought, well, no big deal, it will give me a clean slate,,,,, then I started looking at what I needed to backup and I got scared. Any help would be greatly appreciated.B Bjorkman CFII

I was wondering if some of you might give me some advice re. scenery addons. I recently read the post about the YBCS freeware scenery and gave it a try. I found it very frame rate friendly and very enjoyable (still flying around there) so I was wondering if anyone would care to post some other scenery that they found very frame rate friendly that gave them some considerable enjoyment.1. I have recently reinstalled all of my favorite add ons. I am trying to get NAV 3.1 to work with traffic.With FS2002 I ran Nav 3.1 over the network. I was able to see he FS2002 AI traffic on the second monitor which was awesome. I used to sit on the apron and plane spot using Ulitmate Traffic and watching the planes line up the string of pearls at major airports. Will Nav 3.1 work with FS2004 tracffic?I have it working over the network, I can see myself as the Network track, and if I am running WideFS, I can see myself as the local track.I have FSMeteo 6.4 working over the net as well. Hi.I was wondering if anyone could offer help with regard to a particularly annoying problem that I have.When using Marcel Kuhnt's wonderful BN-2 Islander, I get two sounds simultaneously occuring when I click on switches on the 2D panel, or in the VC. A 'normal' click, and a ridiculous 'windows warning' type 'dungk'...(dungk is the the only way I can describe it!). I have played EVERY sound in the sound folder, and this 'dungk' sound is not any of them (the normal click is there though). I'm upgrading my video card. What's the best way to get FS9 to recognize the new card? Do I delete the FS9.cfg and let FS9 build a new one? Or, do I just manually enter the new card in the cfg?Any advice will be greatly appreciated.Lee

I've noticed a lot of FS Genesis mesh scenery available for download here. What has been your experience using it? Has it conflicted with any other scenery and has it made much of a difference in your flight experience.Thanks,JR

Dear Frinds,maybe someone has a hint. Installed the last version of spotlight. In general it works fine. Just on the PA12 and the C310 from dreamfleet it is strange. On the c310 not shown at all. Just sometimes it flickers shortely. Has it do do with an entry to the aircraft.cfg or with the eyepoint?SincerelyTFT

Does anyone know if the terrain mesh advertised today on the AVSIM home page correct coastlines and in-land waterways? It's expensive and hard to justify based just on the screenshots but it might be worth considering if it corrects those two areas.

Sometime ago, some kind soul gave instructions on how to center the splash screen for startup of FS9. If anyone knows the title of that post or can give the solution again it sure would be appreciated.I also hope that this fix will apply to more than just fs9 as my Start>All Program display also covers two monitors and does not show all of the items in that file with some resolution settings.Thanks:RTH

Has anyone used the Key To Mouse and the MCP? For example, on Flight 1's ATR, the MCP only recognizes the course changes.Has anyone been able to sucessfully map or configure this device on third party aircraft via utilities such as Key To Mouse from Wide View?Thanks!Barry

I just realized that I don't have any of the corny/cool autogen objects like restaurants. I seem to remember that file caused the memory leak, and the advice was do delete/rename it. I believe I did one of the above, but after installing 9.1 I'd kind of like it back. What is the file, and if I did delete, where do I get it again?

Hello all,I've d/l most of Vistaliner/Eric Cantu's 727-200(F) and am having a problem opening the cargo door on all of Steve Drabek's cargo aircraft. I've used all combinations of Shift+E and none of them work except for opening the main door.Any help is appreciated.Thanks,Mike

I know I am not going crazy.I have friend's laughing at me about this, saying this can not be done. I know they had gps.Please help!
