Seeing that the default flight planner won't get me from JFK to EGLL, I used a route finder to give me the coordinates that I can pop into my INS. However, I do I put these coordinates in FS2004 so that the FS2004 ATC makes sure I get there (monitors my flight) and makes sure I land at the active? Are there programs out there that will allow me to do that and automatically places it into FS2004? I don't feel like punching all of those numbers into the computer. What's up with the default flight planner anyway?RH

This is a bit strange...I am upgrading from Win98 to XP (fresh install on new drive), and gradually getting my system back to normal.I didn't want to do a major reinstall of FS (I am still on FS2k2), so renamed my FS2002 folder to FSold, and did a minimum install of FS to folder FS2002 in order to set up the registry entries. Then renamed my new fs2002 to FSMin, followed by FSold to FS2002.But when I try to start FS it won't - says a serious error, did I want to report to MS?Module Name: main.dll.I tried the old trick of removing FS2002.cfg, but same result.Also edited out every scenery addon from the scenery.cfg.Anyone have any ideas on this?ThanksDavid

Hi folks!I've downloaded the Boeing 727-200adv (over at that virtual airline, forget the name) by Eric Cantu and with Richard Probst's panel. Wow, everything looks great and the aircraft flies wonderfully. Almost, anyway, because the trim is such that it is not really possible for me to fly it by hand. Each trim-click makes the aircraft pitch heavily up or down. I tried messing with the airfile with no luck. Can anyone tell me if it's just me having this problem, or tell what what I overlooked?Thanks in advance,-Halfdan

Hi all!I would like to share some experiences with you regarding vc refreshment rate, and hopefully get some feedback if any of you have some thoughts on this issue. Also I would welcome some answers from the 3rd party aircraft developers, they're the experts, not me:Usually I find flying from the vc the most realistic way, but sometimes I get so annoyed by the super-slow gauge refresh rate that it takes away a lot of the being there feeling. After all, with the limited pc-view, I think we rely more on the gauges than in the real world (and the panel looks so cool when it works, ref. I do a lot of flying up and down the UK and then up and down Norway using the Dreamfleet Archer - I'm very definitely a GA man :-) Sometimes I think that in the real world with my sort of income I would hardly be able to afford to fly at all, let alone up and down anywhere. So it got me thinking about where I might fly if I could only afford to go up for the occational local flight for about an hour.What single GA scenery addon, payware or freeware, would you go for which, in your opinion, would give the best eye candy and immersion factor.David

Hello,I use a fairly complete GOFLIGHT setup for my sim. I am aware that the PMDG addon has keymapping documentaion (I found the codes and setup on the GOFLIGHT site). It is a lot of FSUIPC "programming" but lets me use the GOFLIGHT with the sim.Does anyone have information on other addons such as the Flight 1 727, RFP 747, or Flight 1-ATR keymapping codes or capabilities?Thanks in advance,Ron SagelNear KCHS

Hi, This is annoying me so I might as well ask, why is January Summer in new Zealand in FS? I want to do a flight, but apparently the seasons are backwards, when I pick Winter, it takes me back to August. Is there a fix for this?Thanks,Jeff USAF

It's great to see the FARs linked to on the front page article. I don't know how much folks like to read this legal stuff, for any flight exams good knowledge of the relevant ones is required and tested.Reading "Bear's Cave", I loved the article on the Connie. I know this issue has been addressed here before, but I'm hoping maybe there are some new ideas about this. Here's my issue: While flying, especially from the virtual cockpit of a nice payware aircaft (e.g., RealAir's Supermarine Spitfire), FS9 frequently pauses to reload *all* textures, i.e., scenery, AI aircraft, and cockpit. Often times the reload takes several seconds, and it will even happen while just sitting idle on the tarmak.The HD spins during reloads, I assume what FS9 is doing is reshuffling contents of it RAM and virtual memory. I've never seen a discussion of this.I have many AI aircraft. Some are flyable, some not (though I don't fly them). The question is, some are missing panel and sound folders, some have folders but are missing .cfg files.I can't detect any error in using these as AI with no or buggy panel and sound folders, but does any one know if there is a reason why one should (or shouldn't) include the folders and just alias them to some default panel and sound?scott s..

Near the end of a flight from Kansas City (KMCI) to San Francisco (KSFO)I got an error saying my computer ran out of physical memory. I got the error about 15NM from SFO while on approach. I just installed Leon Seale's new Citation II panel and I keep getting an "ntdll" error when the panel is loading. I am using a registered version of FSUIPC. I also installed the panel in my FSFSCONV directory and aliased the panel.cfg to that folder. Since I already have the FSsound.dll and TrafficInfo.dll in my module folder I did not replace them. Any ideas on how to troubleshoot would be appreciated.Thanks!Airbus
