Hi all. I'm amazed at some of the screenshots I see on these sims forum that I am very jealous of how realistic they all look. I'm really impressed and can't wait to start doing something like that.Now, I was wondering if it would be too much trouble to post the type of scenery / plane or jet you use to take the shots. I say this because I'm sure there are alot of people who might like to acquire the same particulars. I know I for one am always asking for this type of info and thought it would help others. This way, who ever is interested will just look at your scenery info or the type of plane and do a search to acquire them. You could aslo tell if it is apayware or free…

Greetings all!GMax, FSDS and such are completely beyond my comprehension (sad grin)! But... maybe my issue can be solved without these things. With FS Panel Studio I have put together a 2D panel with various windows (the perspex things the pilot looks through - not the pop-up kind). Now even I know that black is the "color" that makes windows fully transparent, that's no problem. The problem is: I want to make ONE little window SLIGHTLY LESS transparent, and I don't have the faintest idea if this can be done, and if yes, how...Can anybody point me in the right direction? HiI am new to this forum thing, but a friend suggested trying for help.I have FS9 + the update (9.1) that I have just reinstalled and the whole thing has gone crazy.I have tried several times by uninstalling everything to do with the flightsim, and reinstalling the basic plus the update.When I start, and go to the default flight (at Seattle or Meigs) it looks like the aircraft is half underwater. It takes forever to start, it is in fullscreen not windowed, nothing works on the panel, I can't change anything using the menus, if I try to do anything everything goes blank for a long time although it doesn't seem to lock up. I have the Lago AMS scenery for 2002, and it seems it can be patched to work in Fs 2004. Is this scenery of AMS better or the freeware NL 2000? CheersChris

Hi allIs anyone else experiencing problems with rwy12 textures not showing up at some airports. I have noticed that the shell and chevron fuel tankers and the GA static aircraft all show up with blank textures in FS9. However using the Runway12 placement program the textures all appear properly when the object is selected for input to the scenery. After rebooting FS9 the objects appear but the textures are blank. I must add that all the other rwy12 textures show up perfectly fine and it is only these 2 fuel trucks and the small cessna's that are showing up blank.Does anyone have any ideas?. I have updated the textures to the latest version and the problem still exists.D…

Will this thing ever get built??? I have been waiting over a year. I know they had programming problems when thier main developer got deported, but come on guys. You tease us with screenshots, then the 707 rolls out. I don't know about the rest of you, but the Alphasim model is looking better and better. I have crashed the Howard 500 four times this afternoon, trying to land at KDCA, doing the river approach into rwy 19. It is murder! The vis is close to zero. I landed once successfully, but only just. Mostly I crash in heavy snow with FSMeteo 6.4 to provide real wx for me.Is there a technique for flying blind to landing an a/c such as the Howard 500 on this approach? If so, what do I do?Thanks!JS

Anytime I use the Winter Wonderlane theme, at about 3000 feet I lose my airspeed indication. It just rolls back to 0. I am using this theme on a flight I created. I asked this question a couple of weeks ago, and the one rsponse I got said to turn the de-ice on, that did not work. This has happened on both a 737 and 747. I have used the clear weather theme and never have had this problem. Any answers would be appreciated. Thanks.Andy

I have placed this scenery in my add on scenery and it comes up fine but the terminal textures are not there along with a few other buildings. I have added Nova and Nova Gold texture in both my main texture file and also in the scenery texture itself. They are the only textures listed in the Read me. Can anyone who has this scenery added properly help me out? Thanks

I use WideFS to connect to Squawkbox, having it installed in my notebook.I have been using this for months without a problem and suddenly the notebook is not able to connect to a Vatsim server. Yesterday I began being kicked out of the session and I thought it was a problem with the Vatsim servers, but wasn't. Finally I couldn't connect anymore.If I connect to vatsim using my main computer I get connected in a sec, but the secondary one doesn't connect at all and I get the timed out message. All my other programs running in the secondary work fine (AS2004 for example), so WideFS seems to work fine and teh network too.I have all my Firewalls turned off, but no luck at all.…

And does anyone know why an airport does not have all the ILS frquencies in the list is this due to the afcad file? This is an addon airport from simflyers.

I have an issue that just popped up that I hope someone can help me with.My battery always remain on now. Any plane, even with the battery switch off. I can reload any default or third-party plane and the battery remains on. I have FSUIPC 3.44. I hope this is the correct place to ask this question.Has Microsoft ever set up a "site" where we can list problems we have discovered? I am thinking of the various gross scenery errors etc. that shipped with FS2004.Not that they would issue a patch but so they might be aware and hopefully address some of the problems in the next release.Thanks in advanceDavid "Opa" Marshall

I was trying to get onto Bushnet today - at a time when I believe ( or at least I think) a small number of the Alaskan Winds members were flying. I have noticed them on the Bushnet before and have tried to join the session -- but I get the infamous "can't connect to all players" message. As soon as the group leaves the Bushnet, I can connect.I have read elsewhere that this problem can happen if one flier has his router ports set up incorrectly -- I am not technical enough to know all the correct details.Anyway, I am just wondering what can be done about this - any "Alaskan Winds" people there?Regards Barry

From what I've read, the MicroSimulator T-37 is top notch. However, I am concerned with two things:1) Is the virtual cockpit fully-clickable?2) I've heard that their T-37 taxis even when at idle power. Is this true? Can it be fixed?Carl

well as stated earlier in the thread a few days ago, i was upgrading my system as below, i decided to buy a Leadtek Gforce 6600GT 128 meg card and 512 meg of 2700 Kingston ram,i have to say in the PMDG 800/900 VC i see ZERO difference, what a HUGE disappointment!the only improvement is everything loads faster with the added 512 ram.I guess i will need to upgrade my CPU to see any improvements in the VC, but for now i am flying the 737 800 2D panel only. I'm so disappointed with PMDG it is truely a SLIDE SHOW in the VC on their 800/900 AC.the other thing is i ran 3Dmark 2001SE and i got exactly the same points with this card and the Asus GForce ti4200! Amazing!
