Greetings!I just bought, installed and flew the new Lancastrian, and I must say she's a bit of a disappointment to me. Meant to be flown from the VC, this should have been better detailed. The 2d panel is also somewhat course.The outside on the other hand is beautiful. This, to my mind, is an add-on for those who fly in chase or spot view or whatever it is called. From the cockpit (either one) it ain't no fun.As for flying characteristics: holy cow, the elevators behave like she's a fighter! I finally (after several tries) got my FS2K4 to install all the way OK, but now I can't get it to run. I get the opening splash screen with a second dialog box that says that it's "building new database for scenery files.....", the percent loaded shows it loading, it gets to about 74% and then just shuts down completely! Happens every time I try to start the program, even after rebooting the PC.Comments, criticizms, suggestions, etc.?

I picked up the Sea King from AlphaSim today. If you like choppers, then don't hesitate to pick up this one. Excellent work! Their service is worth mentioning as well. Had an issue today, unrelated to the Sea King, and they were very quick to help out. Just wondering if anyone has purchased a PC from Cyberpower? There is a system I'm considering and I would like any feedback on the pros or cons of this supplier. I just got back into flightsimming after about a one year lapse and am flying fs2004 for the first time on a Gateway 1.8 with 512 RDRAM and an ATI 9500 pro. It obviously gets very bogged down and I have a new system in mind, but am unsure of the company.

I'm asking here because this forum get the most traffic. I read a lot of threads on various sites about problems people have in FS9. Losing text in ATC window, multiple CTDs, error messages, corrupt files, missing files, et cetera. I can't help in wonder why I don't ever have these problems. I've had maybe 3 CTDs, pre-9.1, and 2 were at the "Fly Now" page.I also see so many users who insist on overclocking. Is it not possible that a lot of these issues are from overclocking? How about those who install hundreds of scenery files, aircraft, and other add-ons. It seems like a lot of these problems occur after someone has installed new files. Perhaps it corrupts or re…

Guys,Is it me just bein picky here ?? Or, do the rest of you get the feeling you're sitting practically on the runway. It seems when sat in the 737 say, that you might actually be in a Formula 1 car !!I appreciate you can adjust seat height - and that does compensate slightly, but even sat in the 747, it's hard to appreciate that you should actually be sat (I believe) about 40' (11mtrs) up !!Just my observation - wandered what you all thought that's all....?Is there a work round, like saving you're seat height or view settings that I've missed ? For those of you familiar with the Litton-72 INS, I have a question about which numbers to punch in. I understand that waypoints are usually stated in degrees, minutes, and seconds (DD.MM.SS) so an N41.46.12 is punched in as such. When I look in my flight plan from FS2004, I often get waypoint latitudes and lonitudes as follows: N50* 1.53 E6* 54.45 Does this equate to N50.01.5 E06.54.4 or N50.10.5 E60.54.4 ?Thanks,RH

Hi everyone! Is there any known problems with Malmo Sturup airport in Sweden?If I try to start a flight there I get a crash to desktop.If I start in copenhagen and fly there i made it all the way to the airport and then got a CTD at about 1 mile on final.I thought i remembered something earlier about a problem there but could not find anything with a search. Hi, I'm running 1280x1024x16 full-screen, and recently I've started seeing color banding in the clouds, quite noticeable. I do have a new video card (nVidia 6600GT), but I haven't seen this before with a an older 5950 card in the same video config and am wondering if there's something I should reconfigure for this big new video card or if there's some other FS config I'm missing that affects full-screen color depth. I'm using the 71.20 driver.Any ideas what's causing this, ways to alleviate it? Thanks -- Dick Bixler

I have managed to install an ADF into the 2d Panel(s) of the Maule - but have been unable to do so in the VC . I am aware of the difficulty of placing extra gauges into the VC of any a/c -- but just wondering if anybody else has managed to do it. Barry

Here I was, at the end of a 1.7 hour flight, just touched down at MKBS, a small non-towered Jamaican airport, when I was struck from behind on the runway by an AI de Havilland Twin Otter. Hey!? I was flying a Cessna 172, monitoring the correct frequency, annoucing my positions, and knew that there was an inbound King Air 4 miles out, but never heard the Otter. What's the deal?!
