For a little more than a year, I have assigned a pair of joystick buttons to select item 1 or item 2 from the ATC menu. Very good for acknowledging ATC requests, etc.Then, a couple days ago, I decided I didn't need my hat switch anymore, because TrackIR is working so well (which it is). So, I assigned those functions to the hat. I'd forgotten, though, that I also use the hat to pan around the spot view. So, back to the original setup.Only problem is, I can't make it work. Have tried using old fs9.cfg's, rebuilding fs9.cfg from scratch. Nothing, nothing, nothing works. Assigning different buttons, assigning buttons on a different joystick, nothing. Hey guys, i keep getting the following error message every time i load up any aircraft using Eric Marciano's A330 panel:'ERROR - FS9Flight simulator was unable to load some aircraft or software. You can continue using flight simulator but this aircraft or software will be disabled.File: GAUGES/A330.GAU'I have FS9 and have installed the FS9.1 Update.Any ideas what it's all about and how i can fix the problem?

Hello fellow simmers, I need help with something, I am new to simming and have an embarrasing question. I would like to know how do you achieve cruising speed. I've tried AT on and off..Manual full THR. but I can not reach cruising speed. In fact when I try to approach anywhereabove 25fl I steadily decrease in IAS, slowly decreasing to a max of 154 IAS. Is this normal, I understand that at 30fl the air is thinner and the aircraft moves faster more easily, what should my IAS be. I also tried switching to Mach .80 once at cruise ALT, but still the same.PLEASE help a newbie.........Thank-you all.:-hmmm

Hi everybody,after having a look in Flight1 ATR forums, I believed that the ATR should have worked on my Win98 based system, so I purchased the newly released 'boxed' version (with an excess of confidence, probably).The installation seems to complete successfully; it is possible to select the ATR from the aircrafts' list, but the message 'FLT1CHK3.DLL NOT FOUND' appears.The situation loads but the error message appears again together with a remaining label on the upper left of the screen saying something like 'aircraft initialization in progress'.I looked for the FLT1CHK3.DLL file and found it installed in Windows/System directory... i've been running in 1024x768 and sometimes i'd go back to 600x800 but mostly 1024 now. after getting a new video card {radeon 9600pro} i've noticed i can go higher than 1024 and what a difference it makes! i also use real weather when testing things. i'm trying to get a grasp on a good resolution to run and stay in so i thought i'd ask here to see what some of you use. thanks, william

Does anyone know how I can add or increase the feedback for some add-on aircraft that don't seem to have force feedback in the game. I use MS force feedback stick and I get very good feedback with the original aircrafts in the game. However, I have noticed that with some of the addons (i.e., Fokker 100-70 and Eaglesoft Citation X) the stick is very loose and I can hardly get any feedback on the stick. The developers of these planes say that they don't use FF sticks or that FF is not enabled on their aircrafts. I asked how I can enable the FF but got no answer. Hi all....I just finished a fresh install of FS2004 after reformating my machine. I have a program that needs to have 3 digitson the right of the decimal point for radio frequency xxx.xxx I cant for the life of me remember how to turn on the 3rd digit. After installing Holger Sandmann's scenery for the B.C. Rockies I am wondering if the scenery is working right for me. I notice a big improvement in the land mass, the mountains, roads, etc., but I'm wondering if some of the scenery upgrade isn't working right. Should the airport at Banff be more detailed than shown in the pic below? I'd appreciate if someone who has this scenery installed would check out Banff airport and let me know if their airport is more detailed than mine in this pic.Also, should Holger's scenery add buildings to the town of Banff? Hi out there!Once again i need to bother you with a question regarding the use of fs2k4 planes in fs 2k2. This time its about the problem that the engines of piston-engined planes (single, twin or 4-mot, doesnt matter) never start. well i mean, the process of startup actually works, you see the props turning and hear the starter but the engine just doesnt ignite. this also is limited to some 2k4 planes, such as the katana, super dimona or the magnificent Lockheed L049 Constellation by FSDZigns.My question is now, if and what i have to change in the aircraft.cfg or if there simply is no workaround!I

I did a search for it but I can't seem to find anything.

I'm trying to install PAI AI and I'm getting nowhere. I have FS9 installed and updated. I have ADS Roads/Rails installed. And that's it. It's a pretty clean install of FS for the moment.Anyway, I renamed the traffic BGL file to "old". I ran the PAI installer V2.5. I ran the stock AI removal programs for GA and Comm. Then loaded the PAI AI for both. Everything churned along to completion without error. I see the PAI BGL in the scenery folder. It's 14,618k. Slightly larger than the BGL from the stock file. So everything looks in order, but all I get is FS9 AI on the ground. Checked at O'Hare, Seattle, etc. Same planes.What am I doing wrong with such a simple program? And ev…

With all the great add-ons that are still coming out, along with the prior freeware, paywares, etc....It's really going to be hard to let go of FS2004 and start again with FS2006.I know the common responses will be...Keep FS2004, while your exploring FS2006....But let's face it, eventually you let go of the past and move ahead....So again I say, it's going to be hard because FS2004 has been the best yet and it has taken so long to tweak to perfection.....Do you agree?Paul

Hi All,Can anyone help me with the following:On my nVIDIA based graphic card I could, with the use of nVIEW, span my monitor view over two monitors connected to one card, resulting in a "one" view over two monitors with resoltion 2560 x 1024 with no loss of frame rates. For FS resulting in a great wide outside view.So the view realy spanned over two monitors, windows still "thinking" it is one. e.g. the windows task bar also spanned over over the two monitors.I now changed to a ATI RADEON card and can not find out how to this on this card. There is no programm like nVIEW for ATI?Anyone a solution?Thanks in advance!Norbert
