want to see what your machine will do? takeoff from hartsfield and fly around the area! gotta download the weather. i flew the default 777 around a few traffic patterns and it was simply amazing. the winds were throwing that aircraft around alot. plenty of nice nasty clouds too. after tweaking my new readon 9600pro my whole flying experience has changed, for the good i hope. not a stutter!!! no kidding. anyway, just want you to know the weather's great tonight in atlanta. go have some fun. william

Hi, I just downloaded the latest Airbus A300/310 panel and it looks great. However is there anyone that can explain a quick way to get the whole thing going with engines and electronic going in a step by step instructions? Good evening everybody,Before spending some cash on a program that enhances the default AI traffic, I really want your opinion on what is the best program on the market.Main worry.... yep, framerates.Even with a more than average system at my disposal, I frequently have to struggle hard to keep those framerates acceptable.Weather, complex panels, high definition textures, they all get away with some of those precious cycles and force those figures down.I have tried 'FsTraffic 2004' from a friend and I can live with that but I know nobody with 'Ultimate Trafic'. Crosswind landings are absolute nightmare :(. I have even increased the "rudder effectiveness" in the aircraft.cfg ... it doesn't make much difference :(Compare the rudder action in MSFS to the rudder action in Airline Simulator 2. Try a full rudder deflection in mid-flight and you will soon lose control ... try it in MSFS and the aircraft yaws a few degrees http://www.sociopranos.com/forums/images/blink.gifThis has been an inherant problem since FS98, IMHO. Hi Guys,How long does it take to get a response from CaptainSim, I'm waiting three days now to get my 707 in the air. I cannot install the aircraft because I'm waiting on an order number.If this is their idea of copy protection, keeping their legal customers from using the aircraft waiting on an order number while pirates are free to use their sofware, something is very wrong with this picture.If this is going to be their copy protection scheme in the future, you can count me out, I will not be purchasing any more Captainsim software.Mike

Happy New Year to all!I was inquiring to find out if anyone know has the force feedback issue with Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 been resolved in the 9.1 update? Had anyone tried enabling force feedback? Some users report disabling force feedback and some suggest disabling ground bumps only. I have FFB disabled. It does add to the realism and I can't believe MS does not have a fix for this feature of the sim.I was going to give it a try this evening. I have not tried it since installing Service Pack 2 and the 9.1 update.Please post your thoughts and ideas.Thanks!

I wanted to bring attention (for those who don't visit the screenshots forum often) to a nice freeware aircraft add-on. I can't believe it, noone seems to have done an add-on scenery for Anchorage Stevens Intl. airport - at least I didn't find anything.Can anyone tell me whether there is a good add-on, or, if not, whether there is at least some visual enhancement, e.g. someone having done gateways/passenger bridges.I have seen all the wonderful AFCADs, but it would be sad to have just a bland default airport, wouldn't it?

I just signed up and worked though one of the included demo's. The only thing I can say is WOW! Talk about adding to the realism! That program understood ever word I spoke in to the microphone. Not one hiccup. Something of a learning curve, but not anymore then anything else I suppose. Just remembering the order of things, but for real pilots, I'd think that it would be quite a bit easier. There were a couple of things I didn't like, or at least couldn't figure out how to do. I have ActiveCamera installed and haven't figured out a good taxi view position. I am a 350 hour rw commercial-instrument pilot that trained in Warriors, Archers, Arrows, 172's and 182's, among other aircraft. I want to find the best Warrior/Archer payware, to stay current with the panel layout. Have been flying 182's mostly lately, and want to stay current with Piper layout from an IFR flight standpoint.Thanks fo your help!CB

when looking out the left or right side cockpit view i can see the textures loading up. sort of a fast pause or hesitation then i can see a large square texture pattern pop up right before the scenery falls into place then it'a all there. now this only happens with add-on aircraft, the defaults seem to load up fine. is this unusual? i just got a new raedon6800 video card and other than that it seems to be working good. maybe someone can suggest some tweaks for the card? anyway just wondering if the texture loading i mentioned a common concern or just something to live with as far as addons go. thanks, william

Guys, Im mostly a GA pilot nowadays but am loving the detail and beauty of the great panel Simon Toppmann created for the HNAC A300 and A310. (at least it works fine on the A310.)Having said that, Im having some trouble tuning the Nav radios. They seem to work while on the ground, but once Autopilots are engaged etc, I cant get them to respond to tuning. Am I doing something wrong? I've got it working except for one thing. Whenever I click on the overhead panel it kills my avionics. Checked all the past threads and found this:"This is because for some reason PSS decided that the Nav switch should control the panel lights, and the Logo switch (!) should control the nav lights."thought it might be related but not sure. In short, anybody encounter this when they merged and what is the missing link?Thanks...

Hi All,Whenever I am flying I seem to have cycles of high/low frame rates. Example: I am fling the PMDG737, and on average getting about 20 FPS, then it drops to about 9 and gets jerky. Hi EveryoneI am just one step away from doing something I might regret later to my computer. So please please help me. On almost every flight having fixed up an approach pattern, FS 9 simply crashes and returns to the desktop. Lately, I have been fortunate enough (I didn't ever think I would say this ) to have an illegal operation message, where it says. ' FS9 caused a general protection fault in module DIBENG.DLL at 000a:00002338. ' This may shed some light on what is happening, but I am afraid to say is way beyond my area of expertise. It wouldn't be too bad if I couldn't launch fs9 to begin with, then at least I could do something useful like complete my tax return !!…

I have installed crj-200 panel of antonio buccoli in my fs9.1, but when I load the aircraft I receive an error message about "rp733.gau" (the aircraft can't load or disabling software). Anybody know how's possible to fix it?

Hello,I bought FS2004 recently as an update for my old FS2000. Since I also bought a new system not very long ago, I was expecting gorgeous graphics. Alas, this was not the case.The system contains:Msi K8T Neo2 FIR s939 moboAMD Athlon 3500+1gig of TwinX Corsair RAMAti X800 256Mb videocard(All drivers are updated to the latest)I use a 1024*768 resolution for my CRT screen and in FS, 32bit colors.I put all settings to the max and started up the FS. But the scenery, the landscape and the airplane were rather jagged and flickered a lot. Weird moving patterns on scyscrapers, too.
