Question for anyone that can help, in FS9, any runway i use with bituminus surface is completely unusable, using any aircraft i have, the planes just bounce and porpoise down the runway, doesn't happen on any other hard runway surface i have. Anyone have any clue how to fix this ? I would really like to fly out of several airports including Kathmandu, Nepal, but they are not usable due to this runway surface. This happens with the original FS9 textures, and Airport Environment Upgrade 6 textures also. Any clues or help would be appreciated.thanksPaul

I installed the updated version yesterday and messed around with it. They have added a bit of documentation now. You still can't move or delete placed weather features so if you accidently misplace a feature you have to start over. Still takes several minutes to load a weather scape. Also I constantly got excessively low visiblity of around 10 miles when trying to create some nice VFR weather. Any ideas what might cause this?Anyone else running the new version and what did you think about it?

Hello!I live in the east coast. For the past week, I have noticed that it now takes me about 2 minutes to download real weather from Jeppesen's server! This is way too slow. I don't believe the issue is with my ISP. Per dslreport.com, I am getting 579 Kbytes/sec down and 45 Kbytes/sec up. Anyone else in the southeast experiencing slow downloads of real weather for FS2004?David

If I wasnted to buy a mesh package for the entire world, which one is better, RealScene or FsGlobal, one 39.95 the other is 59.00, I'd go for quality before I thought about money, but if the quality is the same then I'd go for the cheaper. Anyone have any opinions on this one?Jeff

Don't get me wrong, I'm just asking, because I tried out some new scenery that is kind of tough. But, it occurred to me, when is the last time I crashed? I can't remember it. It was like a year ago, or more. And I've done some crazy things since then. But haven't crashed. And you? What made you crash?billg

Hi all,Well I used to always almost fly the Big Irons, And I own nearly all of the payware ones. I used to dable in the GA Arena with some of carrendos and all of FSD's offerings. Whilst flying a GA plane I woud see a Big Iron fly over me or see one take off and that would make me want to go back to my big irons :). However latley Im moving more towards the GA Arena, and I am now flying them more than the big Irons, I have also found a passion for the vintage aircrft (not the Default FS2004 Ones) Bill Loyns etc. I thought I would never turn my back on the big irons.I find the real thrill of flying only in the GA planes with no Auto Pilot or a limited one to help me out. I…

A chairde,Not sure if anyone has reviewed the latest offering from FlightCraft ... their A330-200. I've always been a big Airbus fan owning PSS A320 and A330/340 offerings. Their panels are amongst the best you can get, but (and I suspect there's many who'll agree with me), the best marriage in FS9 has been the PSS panel with iFDG's A32x models ... superb. Likewise, Opensky's A330/340 are nothing short or superb but the dynamics always let me down (or I let them down!).I didn't think it could get any better -> shame on me -> FlightCraft once again instill that constant surprise and joy being a devoted FS simmer, and along comes their A330-200. I think it is fabulous…

I just installed the Howard 500 from the library to see what it was like. Unfortunately, I tried it twice and twice it crashed FS9. This is obviously not a common problem but I was wondering if anybody else has had this occur. If so, how did you get round it or do you have any suggestions as to how I can prevent it happening.

Out of the blue, I started to get CTDs when clicking anywhere on the kneeboard window after launching.A search turned up a similar problem with reinstalling the video drivers as a solution which I may try but was just wondering if anyone else has had this issue and has any different advice.Tried several different aircraft and locations...but still get the CTD.Thanks,Jim

I installed it and can say that, so far, I am impressed with it! It definely improves on the MegaScenery around the SF area. I am also running Fly Tampa's KSFO and looks like it's working great with both MegaScenery and MegaCity installed on my system. The FPS is excellent, but I think My new A64 4000+ CPU, 1gb of DualChannel DDR and GeForce 6800 GT have something to do with how smooth it is runing!

I was just flying on line with squawkbox and looking forward to landing with one eighth of a mile visibility in Atlanta. Anyway it was clear as a bell and I checked to see that I had real world weather enabled in sb. I did. Is this a common sb problem and is there some other source for real world weather I should be using? Thanks I'm using FS9.

Flight simmer steven rosenow has created a marvelous scenery set, now available in the avsim library. The installation could not be easier. I sent Steve the following note, and think everyone should know what he has done for us:Thanks for all of your hard work and effort. The scenery is spectacular. I love every foot of it. I'm currently in the midst of my first flight, using the Howard 500 and am circling the summit. But, the rest of the surrounding landscape is just as impressive. I think this is even better than your Mt. St. Helens. I'd be happy to send you a couple of jpgs, but I won't include them in this email because I do not know whether you like getting attachmen…

Hi,My dad was a navy cadet in the late '50s. He flew T-34's and washed out in the T-28 portion of the flight training. Does anybody have a list of what a typical training regimen would have been for a Naval cadet in this period, and what planes they would have gone on to from there? Thanks,Thomas Perry

If I want to simulate the use of the steering tiller, could the following be accomplished ?I have the CH Products Yoke, connected through the gameport. My idea is to connect a Sidewinder (or similar) USB Joystick. So, I would use the Yoke for flying (i.e. aileron, elevators) and the Joystick, as tiller (basically the rudder function). Is this at all possible? Or, maybe there is a better way to accomplish simulating the tiller?Comment please.Regards, Marcelo Santiago, ChilePosted on Monday, Feb14, 12:40pm EDT
