  1. Need some help. While trying to climb to 33,000 feet, climb rate at 1800 ft per minute and climb speed set at 250 on the 777,in autopilot, this happens. The speed keeps dropping and at about 25,000 feet I go into a stall. I tried this 3 times and it did it every time. Can anyone help me out on this? I have to be doing something wrong. Appreciate any help.Andy

This is one of the most frustrating, befuddling things I've ever run into. :-(While executing an approach to KLAX (either 25R or 24R), I will get to a point about 15 miles (or so) out and the simulation will just freeze for a few moments. Sound does not seem to be affected and after a few moments, the sim unfreezes and the approach continues.I've noticed this problem both when using SB and also when just flying without connecting to SB. I'm on a cable modem, so I do have continuous Internet connectivity.System Specs are as follows:OS Name Microsoft Windows XP ProfessionalVersion 5.1.2600 Service Pack 1 Build 2600OS Manufacturer Microsoft CorporationSystem Name GAMER-01S…

Those of you more deeply experienced in add-on scenery issues will laugh but I have just "discovered" Mr. Holger Sandmann's work which is just utterly outstanding.I have often seen A/B comparisons of various add-ons both freeware and payware and think "Yeah, the add-on is better, I guess." But Holger's work just completely BLOWS AWAY the default and plenty of payware work that I have either seen or purchased.I just created a Holger subfolder in my FlightSIM download folder and will dutifully install everything he has done.Really artful work. THANKS Holger!Regards,Jim

Hi All,I downloaded the Columbia River Gorge scenery enhancement, but am plagued with CTD's, I have tracked it down to one of the US Columbia River Gorge sceneryscenery files, in particular one of the s_CRG_*.bgl's.Am I alone in this problem?Dan.

I had a question. If money is not an issue, what is a better program between these two? I like UT, but hate that planes are always backed up on t/o or final. I feel that FS Live might change that, but i'm not sure. For instance, right now, UT will only use a few rwy's at say KORD, when runway 22LR or 4LR should be used too. What are the benefits/bad things of FS Live compared to UT?Also, that new Sky-Routes thing sounds great, but nobody knows what is going on with that. Thanks!BRad

  7. Hello,I'm putting the finishing touches on modifying my program to work with the default 737.Does anyone know how to set Decision Height (Radar and Baro) using the default 737?I assumed the Orange Knob on the Altimeter was responsible for that, but it doesn't seem to do anything. I even look at the offset for Decision Height (3428) to see what value was being returned when I twisted the orange knob, and it returns zero all the time. Thanks,Bryan

Just downloaded and installed the latest OMEGA drivers for my x800 Radeon card. What a difference:PAm getting over 100fps at default MS airfields and between 60-90fps with full AI at addon airfields (Aerosoft/UK2000 etc).Worth checking them out if you are still using your old or default ATI or NVIDIA drivers. These OMEGA drivers do seem to be alot faster and more stable in my FS2004 setup.http://www.omegadrivers.net/Make sure you delete ALL remaining ATI and NVIDIA drivers from your PC before you install new ones. Worth downloading a small program called NASTY FILE REMOVER (NFR) which you can run after unistalling drivers to remove any remaining bits and pieces. Available…

Last Monday i picked up a small book called "Cityhoppers" full of colour photographs of short-haul turboprops and jets. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find almost at the end pictures of a Grumman Turbo Mallard which was flying out of Miami to nearby Islands. Thinking this would be a nice aircraft to fly I have been punting around the main flightsim webs but I am unable to find a Mallard anywhere.Does anyone know of such an aircraft hidden in someones website that I could download??Appreciate your help guysGeorge

I've been flying MSFS for around 15+ years. Last night was the second time I've been completely blown AWAY by a specific MSFS add-on.The first time I was EVER blown away from an add-on would be the subLogic add-ons for both MFSF and subLogic ATP. Even the good old Mallard sceneries would good (remember Hawaii?).I've been disappointed in the past the the performance of scenery add-ons (texture rendering) but I've put those complaints away in the closet. Last night, I was 100% blown away with MEGACITY SAN FRANCISCO. With MegaScenery NorCal already installed and my happiness with such a quality product, MegaCity has put my FS10 eagerness in the closet as well. I'm happy to r…

Hello,Flying around in the Realair Spit, I've noticed through repeated experimentation that I can quickly jam the throttle from idle to past 18lbs+ of boost during a botched landing and not experience any torque roll effects at all. In the real world (sometimes I hang out there too) :(, wouldn't suddenly jamming up a 2000+ horsepower Griffon from idle to war emergency power at low altitude at near stall airspeed, with gear and flaps down, send ya into a violent torque roll? The Realair Spit does not seem to model this at all in this particular situation, but of course maybe there is something I don't understand about aerodynamics and Spitfires. I have all FS2004 re…

I have a general problem using grass strips for my bush flights. Many of them are just a flat rectangle surrounded by trees. And it's these trees which drive me mad: they're in almost all cases way too close to the flat area.To avoid scratching the tree tops during the landing, the altitude needed is so big that when extending the trajectory of the landing path, the airplane would rather settle onto ground where actually the and of the airstip is!That meand either to dangeroudly try to fly between trees (which always look different because of their nature of being autogen objects) or to start a risky dive after crossing the tops of the treeas nearest to the runway. The airst…

I still have that annoying texture loading problem. It seems to happen only with RealAir Spitfire and SF260. The problem is: after 10 seconds (not one more, not one less) the aircraft textures previously loaded have to be loaded again (causing a 2 seconds pausing while loading). For example, switching from left view (with left wing in sight) to front view (2d panel), then waiting at least 10 seconds, then switching again to left view, wing textures have to be loaded again. I tried everything (BIOS, video-driver settings, FS settings) to no avail. Some suggestions? And why exactly those 10 seconds, isn't it weird?

The new Fokker 70/100 v2 is great, but is anyone else having problems with the audible warnings during landing? I'm getting the "don't sink" and the "pull up" warnings, even when I'm on the glideslope. I checked Project Fokker's site, removed the old version 1, including the gauges, and re-installed, but the problem persists. Is there any way to just eliminate the audible warnings all together?Dale

  20. Most of my FS9 flying is VFR in the Pacific Northwest. With the recent release of Megascenery PNW, I am forced to decide between two fundamental directions for my scenery.OPTION 1: PHOTOTextures derived from satellite or Aerial photography, such as the Megascenery series.OPTION 2: DATAUpdated landclass, road, coastline, etc. data, being offered (or soon to be offered) by several competing products. The main advantage of the photo scenery is that it is "what you see is what you get". It offers complete accuracy for terrain features, roads, cities, etc. It's fun to sightsee for actual buildings and landmarks.I have the megascenery southern california product, but I don't use…

I installed a new motherboard and a new operating system (Windows XP Pro)on my computer. I reformatted the hard drive and reinstalled FS9.I went to FS Genesis store front and downloaded the newest West Coast terrain self install file. After installing I went to control panel, add remove and it says FS Genesis West Coast is using 3,242.00 MB of space. I have deleted and reinstalled twice and get the same results. Is this possible???P.S. I am posting here as opposed to FS Genesis as I am able to log in at FS Genesis but do not seem to be abel to post. Thanks Chuck

I downloaded the zip that was supposed to install some flying birds (geese...can't remember what it's called now, I must've accidentally deleted it during a HD cleanup) and installed it. I have yet to see any geese, but I was doing a flight yesterday and was surprised to hear a voice w/ the "GEESE" call sign asking for clearance at a nearby airport. The flight was about 2 hours long, and as I doubled back, once again I heard the "GEESE" asking for clearance. ATC just had a blank (no name or number) when it gave clearance. Also ATC asked several aircraft to look around for____ ("GEESE") and several aircraft said they had the ____ in sight. Is this the way this birdy thing …

Charter Simulated Air Freight is looking for a fast plane to supplement our all-prop fleet fleet (2 Twin Otters, 2 Dash 7s, 1 Shorts 360, 1 CV-440, 1 Cessna 172).
