I've just recently joined the forums. I'm here to ask on how do I get aircraft textures to display while playing MFS2004. I've downloaded several textures, but when I start to play the game, none of the downloaded textures are selectable. Could anyone please tell me the steps I need to take to correctly fix the problem?

HelloDoes anyone now how to install fs2004 programs in to fs2002.Exp: I need to install a fs2004 program under fs2002. I enter fs2002 path directory and begin to install, but suddenly it appears me the error "Path to fs2004 is not valid".I want to change the .exe directiry or something like that....Anyone understands me?Please if you help me I will be very pleased...THANKS

Holger -An add-on to your Columbia Gorge scenery that I find useful is Dan Reynold's set of flattening polygons for the Columbia and Willamette adjoining your region (columbia-willamette_rivers_fix.zip).This greatly helps with the abnormally high default river levels, which result in sunken islands and huge dikes that would make the Dutch envious!Some of Dan's files duplicate or even conflict with yours. When using the REAR LEFT, REAR RIGHT, BEHIND, etc.., I would like to make it so I don't see the "realistic" cockpit pictures. If I look to the REAR LEFT, I would like to see the wing and engine. Same for rear right and behind. I don't want to see the bmp's... how would I delete these views so I can see just see outside?Thanks for any help...AlanCOS TRACON

Hi. I downloaded the panel by John J Schumacher.The filename is 777dlx6.zip I got a frustrating problem with this one. Everytime i load it i get an error saying FS cant load gauge dfd_soundsw1.GAU, dfd_soundsw2.GAU all the way to soundsw10.GAU. Then it starts from 1 again to 10. Then im allowed to continue.What is this bug caused by? Very frustrating!Hints ?Installed all after the readme file that was included.Anyone else expiriencing this. Couldnt find anything in the forum.

Hi everybody!A couple of questions for the avsim goup. I've been watching the posts here and have been looking for how to move the add on scenery files to a diffrent hard drive. Also settings within the fs9.cfg that people are using in conjunction with Megascenery and megacity. I'm trying to establish a reference point for my system and because of all the add ons i'm now finding, (guy's i have been a flight sim fan since fs98 In my ignorance of the web (i was a ludite and yes, Ted Kazinski was at one time a hero) i didn't know about sim mods or besides the addons at comp usa i didn't know that FS had so much to offer. Hi,I'm new to both pc's and msfs2004 and would be grateful for help with a graphics problem.With the sliders etc on even lowish settings,I'm getting short regular on off pauses with the graphics on approaching clouds most noticeable by the engine noise cutting on /off.It was suggested that I had a sound problem,and should upgrade to an Audigy 2 to solve the problem.I switched off the Soundmax system to see if that was the problem,but the graphics again began to very slightly jerk on and off approaching clouds so I assume that sound is not the problem.My system is:Dell Dimension 8400 P4 540 ht 3.40ghz 800fsb 1mb cache 1024 pc4200 dual channel 533mhz…

Started on a project to create airport charts for FSM Moving Map. First phase is to do airport charts for all the US airports that have commercial operations (I'm thinking around 150-200). I've already started converting the PDFs to high resolution GIF files. But need some help calibrating them for FSMMM. I became a Flight Sim addict back in 1995, and went to the next version, FS98 after that. Those were the days when if you tried anything unusual or sometimes usual with the Sim, it would crash or lock up your PC. (It always felt like a gamble when you did something new.) I've been flying around Austria Professional 2004 the last few days with the Austrian Airports Vol 2. addon. I dreamt last night that I was actually IN the scenery. It was an awesome dream! Hi all,I have searched through the forums but could not find anything reasonable to solve this...The aircraft textures tend to disappear after a very short time, sometimes they do not appear anyhow. A good 2 months before it was all OK, no texture problems. This ONLY happens to aircraft textures and ONLY happens in FS9, I can not reproduce it in any other game. Now I have a Sapphire Radeon 9700Pro, and it has caused several other problems already.Has anyone else faced this problem? Does anyone have a clue/solution? I bought the current version, and followed the FMS guide to the letter, for a simple flight from KCIC to KACV, and experienced the same nonsense as this other lucky person, direct from FT's forum:""I just downloaded the ERJ today and I was going through the tutorial flight from KLAX to KSFO. I programmed the identical flight plan in FS9, which by the way wasn't even close to what FS9 programmed; but who cares. When I went to select fs flight plan on the FMS it just plugged some flight plan in starting out with LL01, LL02, LL03, up to LL11. Hello, I am very confused on what procedures to take in relation to retrieving purchased software ,namely (RFP 2nd Generation)from the Avsim Store . I have e-mailed them 6 days ago and no answer !There is no Heading on their web site that leads me to such a situation, the situation being lost programs , keys, etc. I have emailed other vendors to gain access to my purchased software and they ( other vendors ) have sent me the information right away. Excellent customer service on their part. However, the cutomer service at the Avsim Store leaves my curious. Here's some information I'd like to share based on my experience flying the elusive hellicopter (fs helos are no exception).The secret to flying any helicopter is to forget that it's fixed wing, and get into the right frame of mind.As long as you practise find control with the rudder and realise that the helicopter will essentially move in the direction of tilt (ie if you are tilted forward the helo will start moving forward, if you're tilted to the side the helo will start moving to the side, etc).Rudder is key. Could someone enlighten me on the advantage of using WideFS which is available from Peter Dowson' web site. What can be done using this program and is it worth the price to register it and use it. Also if there is any downside to using it. Some examples of it's use please. ThanksJim
