I organized the numbering in the scenery cfg after installing some airport scenery, but now everytime I restart flight sim, it creates a whole new duplicate list of 4 sceneries??? Whats going on? I keep deleting the area, then restarting flight sim, and it adds the duplicates again..I want to kick FS9!!!! What gives?

I'm not a novice with zero experience - I completed ground school (twice) and am familiar with the way aircraft fly...I'd like to start practicing visual and instrument approaches with my flight 1 Cessna 172R and then "graduate" to the Aeroworx B200, and finally the DF 727.Where do I start? Ideally, I'd love to have a written doc that I could follow that would take me through a given procedure from takeoff to landing... I want to concentrate on how to "read the language" of procedures...I know that FS9 has "built in" training modules which I'm sure could show me the basics, but I'd like to spend the time with the paywhere craft above, not the MS defaults...Any suggestio…

After posting numerous topic on the lago site and getting no response what so ever I'll give a shot posting here. The problem I'm having with the panel is the following of the flight plan. For some reason I can not figure out the plane does indeed follow the plan however it is following on an offset. To the right everytime. Even whilst flying with no winds. I get from A to B but not along the planed cause and while online often get told im not on correct course usually on stars. Anyone have any ideas please shout em out. Thanks

Hi all I know this is a touchy subject and all but...I have found that locking my FPS slider to no more than 25FPS even though I get get it locked to 42Max yeilds much better stabilty in FS.Since I have locked it to 25 FPS I have had little or 0 CTD'sProbley Just my problem but it may help others.Jason

What are some good add-on sceneries for the mid-west US? I'm specifically looking for smaller GA type airports, but anything but major hubs is ok. I was planning some cross-country flights this weekend and noticed that I have a large gap with no addon scenery in the middle of the country. What do I mean by mid-west? Basically anything not on either coast at this point. Looking to fly between the coasts and need interesting places to stop. High framerates are also important for me. I found a few nice addons in the library, but the fps hit was too much on my PC. Also, are there any airports which are interesting with just the default scenery? Finally, are there any…

Using AFCAD2 in 2004 I can get all my AI to goto the correct gate by airline codes but no matter what I do my plane is always instructed to taxi to the first available open gate in the priorty its listed in the AFCAD file.Please help me because its got me going crazy trying to figure out what I've done wrong.Kilstorm

Hi,I had troubles with Lennart's 2004 replacement textures and therefore I was looking with the picture browser to find some corrupt bmp file. Well I did found something strange. See the included screen take: at the left you see the bmp of Lennart's texture, at the right the default FS2004 one,with a display problem in Paint Shop V6. However all other bmp's of Lennart's textures in this series are displayed like the right one except 030b2su3.bmp. Could it cause the problem? And if that is the case, how can I modify it to be like the "others" ?Thank you in advance,Hugo

I want to try the freeware Van's 727 but to insatll it they have a exe file. When you run the exe file there is no option to install the plane in a different folder except FS9. Is there a way to change this? I like to install freeware exe files in a different folder then copy and or move to my FS9 folder.

Anyone know of a EDDK scenery, freeware or payware? Did a search but came up empty.Thanks,Joe

I seem to have lost my default FS2004 KIFP (Laughlin/Bullhead City Int'l) airport. I was in the process of making one when I was told there was a default airport already there. At least now I know something about airport design with AFCAD! Can someone please tell me the filename and the AFCAD name for the airport in their installation? If anyone knows the location on the installation disks I would appreciate it. Then I can restore what I seem to have lost. Thanks, regards, Bob.

I have AS and the Active Radar add on. Both work fine for me. I'm now considering also purchasing the wx500 weather radar from Reality XP but was just wondering what, if any, advantages it has over the AS radar. I almost always use AS weather when flying.

For those who haven't seen my mention of this in the screenshots forum or who haven't seen it among the 30th's downloads, I've released a small sky environment add-on called "Soft Horizons". With this add-on I made an effort to eliminate the "hard horizon" that can be often seen during certain dates/times of day in FS9.The add-on replaces the sky environment bitmaps, so if you have one of the other popular add-ons which do the same, in the least you'll want to back up the textures I identify in my readme. I don't know if anyone has experienced or heard of this before but here it goes...It seems as of late in FS9 when I tune in to an aerodrome for weather reports (AWOS ASOS ATIS that sort of thing) I'm not getting them.I always used to but now the meteorological airwaves are strangely silent, reluctant to reveal their weather info secrets. Where did they go!!! It almost seems as if all weather info audio has been removed from FS9 as ridiculous as that sounds. Has anyone ever heard of this before? :-zhelp
