Is there any way of adding Helicopters to, or even replacing existing AI traffic with Heli's. I have found one very old post on this subject but being a newbie it seemed to be very complicated. Any ideas out there?

Hi all, having just changed over from FS2002 to FS2004 i have noticed that as i land and hit F2, even if i keep my finger on the F2 button the rear covers like on the Boeing 717 or the rear half of the engine nacelles on the B737's keep opening and closing ,i never had this with any aircraft in 2002, can i change something in any of the aircraft AIR/CFG files to correct this,thanks.

Hi, I'm thinking about getting WideFS so I can run Squak Box on my networked laptop when I'm on VATSIM. It seems this will be more convenient than switching tasks on the desktop. My questions are:Would WideFS use more processing power on the desktop than SB does (thus slowing framerates)?I currently use a key my desktop keyboard to key the mic on SB, could I still use the same key, or would I have to switch to a key on my laptop (since that's where SB would be running)?Thanks in advance...-Gary

A recent acft D/L I got has some serious flaws in terms of fuel tank capacity and fuel flow numbers. I changed the config fuel tank capacities to reflect the real world numbers but need some guidance on where to change the fuel flow parameters.The acft in question burns approx 2500pph on my puter, as modeled, when in reality it should be around 4500 pph.Any help would be greatly appreciated.Joe

While visiting Lake Geneva this week I was struck by the multitude of aircraft leaving their contrails overhead. This is a busy flying area and consequently it wasn't suprising to see up to six aircraft contrails overhead. However using "Traffic 2004" and the FS9 Traffic set at maximum it's seldom that I encounter anything like the number of contrails I saw in real life.Is there a way to increase high level flights with their respective contrails in FS9?Cliff

Here's the scenario:The other day I created a flight in the Mooney Bravo, and in my Realism settings, I had unchecked the "unlimited fuel" option. As I approached my destination, the left fuel tank was only half full, and the right tank was completely full. And I had autopilot turned on. Anyway, I saved the flight so I could come back to it later. And I did *not* select the option to "save as default flight."The next day, I created some entirely new flights in different aircraft and different airports. In all cases, as I rolled down the runway, the plane was always off-balance and my control stick was unresponsive. I thought it was a problem with my joystick, so stupid me…

For a long time I have been keeping my additional BGL files together with the afcad [email protected] files in FS2004Addon Sceneryscenery.Everything was ok.I found out now that for some reason those addtiongal bgl files are not being accessed in this location. My only solution was to move them to the main FS2004Scenery......now they work.I did play around with the settings of Scenery.cfg, but I got nowhere.I am happy that my BGL's are working but I am still puzzled.Any thoughts?Thanks.Abe

lo is this a bug, whenever the back wheels touchdown on an ifdg 767 the front of the planes slams down instantly. I mean its not a smooth gentle landing. Is this me, or the plane? (or maybe even something to do with the weights)

I was wanting to know if someone could push me into the right direction for flying fs9 online with other people and live ATC...I live in Wichita,Ks...Have about 12 to 15 hours of Dual time in a C-172..I have checked out VATSIM... Kinda at a lose with it... As far as hardware and software. I must have and a place where people are professional and don't act like a bunch of kids please.Could someone help push me into the right direction and kinda help lead the path for me please...I have a mic on my CPU.. With your help I have managed to activate the crossing runway at vabb. Now 95% of the arrivals land at runway 27 and 100% of the departures start at runway 32.But the problem is that sometimes aircrafts on short final ( just some 250 to 350 ft to touch down) are told to go around, because an aircraft is departing from runway 32.Do you know any solutions to this problem?thanks in advance

I could really use some help figuring out how to add a flight plan to an existing adventure. From what I can tell, it's more than just dropping a .PLN in the appropriate folder; it seems that a [GPS_engine] section must be added to the .FLT file, but I have not been successful in learning all the information that must go in that new section. I've used some well-designed freeware adventures to get this far but now I'm stuck.Thanks!

After a couple of years, I decided to add some new add-ons to my FS2004. I only have the Real Scene 2004 Mesh for the USA and posessions (on DVD) added on now. I was thinking of adding, FS Globel Mesh and some of PC Aviators Megacity scenery also. Would this be a good mix of "scenery" or if not, please advised what a better mix of scenery/ mesh ( freeware or purchased)/ airports would be? Thanks for your time and effort. Jerrycwo4
