In map view, each airport will provide facility info such as ATIS, ground and tower frequencies, latitude, longitude, elev., runway info etc. Is there a file in which all this is available to print out by airport? It would be easier than stopping the flight as I near the destination airport.

I don't own the Spitfire, but I'll give these a shot...>- What is the fuel c-o-c-k control (filter won't let me>actually spell out this word)? All the instructions say is to>switch it on before starting the plane. Is there ever a>reason to switch this off?Sounds like a shut-off valve between the fuel tanks and the engine (the RealAir SF.260 has a similar one). I doubt there would ever be a reason in normal flight to switch this off, but you would probably turn it off when you shut down the airplane after landing, and turn it back on before starting. If the plane comes with checklists, they would tell you when to turn it on and off. It may default to on, I…

Did anyone ever get Mark Smith's Bremerton scenery to work? I have removed the whole thing but still cannot fly in the Bremerton area.. my fs9 closes down when I get close to kpwt. I would love to get the scenery to work as it is a really good rendition of the area. Teecee.

If I remember correctly there used to be one for FS2002. I used that list to download some great freewares from here..when I came in to AVSIM as a newbie.Do we have such a list for FSim 2004? are we planning to have one?Well..if there is none.. maybe...please feel free to post yourBest freeware here (preferable with the name of the file or the author). Nevermind, if its a airplane or a scenary or water or whatever... anything that would enhance the Fsim experience.:)My vote for best freeware addon Airport goes to: Shehryar Ansari for Palm Springs, CA Airport (psp2004.zip)and John Wayne Airport, Santa Ana, Orange County, California. by the same author Shehryar Ansari. There seems to be a generally held belief around here that after the incomparable Aardvark Boeings, FSPainter are some the best AI aircraft around.I'm currently replacing those Project AI aircraft I have installed with FSPainter equivalents, where I can find them. In the main, the models concerned are all Airbuses from A300 through to A340.Certainly the FSP A330's and A340's look better than the PAI models to my eye. However, I know there is a link between some or all FSP and PAI planes, and some PAI models come in version 1 and version 2 etc.Does anyone know which FSP models are DEFINITELY better and which are exactly the same (or indeed worse than) their PAI counterpart…

I have been looking at WideView for a while... And since I bought a new computer I had to find a way to put my old computer to use... and I thought I'd try WideView.Initially I figured it would be real hard to setup the TCP/IP network and stuff...but turned out it was not hard afterall.I already had a Router, network for Internet Access at home..so I didn't have to do anything additional. I did the default setup and it worked fine. So I paid for the registered version( $20 or something..) and have been playing with it. Its pretty good.I have my 24" Widescreen Monitor for the main computer (Server) with a second 14" touchscreen for GPS etc...My old comptuer now acting as C…

In the song "I've been Everywhere" Johnny Cash. Winnemucca is the road he's travelling on when he gets a lift. It's also the title track of "Flight of the Phoenix (2005)". This was such an unually place I had to find out more. So first step - Find if the location actually exists. Yep it's in Nevada (not stated in the song?). From the websites I've been to it's been around since 1830 approx. Second step. Does it have an airport. Yep KWMC. From Aerial Photos and maps it's about 10-15 miles SSW of Winnemucca city center. I-80 goes right through it and there is also the UP (Union Pacific) and SP (Southern Pacific - Now UP) rail lines traveling through this city. It's the coun…

For some time now every flight I make has this one plane that ATC handles. Every flight ATC is handling "Echo Sierra Echo". I looked for planes with ESE in the Tail # and Took them out of AI traffic but "Echo Sierra Echo" is still following me no matter where in the world I fly. Anybody have an idea how to get rid of it?Jeff

Okay, okay, I know, I'm sure I'm not the first to ask this, but... there is just too much choice!!!I've flown with the PMDG 737 for a year now and I want to do something else. So I decided to get a nice small GA aircraft. But... which one to choose...? I want something with the same quality as the PMDG. I want it to be as real as possible. A cool virtual cockpit would be nice! I'm currently thinking about the Flight1 Cessna 172N Skyhawk or maybe the Carenado Cessna 210M (but maybe that one is too big already). I want to make small flights, hop from one airport to another. Maybe I should give the Carenado Piper Cherokee a try...? Or...?Problem is... I cannot buy them all a…

From what I understand these two products is in many aspects doing the same things. Therefore I wonder if there is any point in getting both and which one is the best option to spend money on?Also could some one tell meWhat Flight Enviroment offers that we won't have in Active Environment? What Active Enviroment will offer that we don't have in Flight Environment? How long will we have to wait for Active Environment and what will the price be?

I have been reading old treads and it appears that the Tower View in FS2004 cannot be disabled? Is this correct? I don't have any add-ons like Active Camera.

hi allcan anyone tell me what the fundamental difference is between a visual and ils approach.if a plane is cleared for a visual approach does the captain and FO still use the Glidescope and localiser to bring the plane into land ?if the weather is clear and visibility is good would ATC prefer ac's to land Visual, is it quicker to bring the plane down via visual approach?i am talkin about your jets i.e 737, 747 etc.

HiIs there any way of improving the bad turaround at FS aircraft. You cant turn the aircraft around in a runway even if it is 40 m without getting out in the grass. That is not realistic. Anyone who know a way of improving that without getting poor performance in the air.Thomas ESNN
