I posted this in the SB and ProController forum as well as it may be a more appropriate place. Unless I turn off engine sounds completely in FS, the controller cannot hear me. There is too much static. With engine sound completely turned off I'm "5 by 5".Not sure if it's an FS issue or hardware.Thanks,Adam

I have been experiencing annoying CTDs every time I go anywhere near Paris. In frustration I reinstalled FS2004 only to get the same problem as soon as I loaded a saved flight in the area -even the flight itself would not reload. Then I took out all scenery files including traffic and mesh and reloaded again - with success this time.The minute I put back my traffic files I CTD immediately as before. I have started putting them back one by one to find the culprit and so far have replaced 20 or so without getting another CTD.My point is that I have not heard of traffic files causing conflict and I wonder what the reason could be? Hi guys, sometimes when I flying and add-on and maybe switch to a view or turn on a switch or landin.. suddenly the sounds goes off.To fix this I have to load another plane and then go back to the plane that I was using.Do you know why this happens?Thanks in advance for your help and enjoy this weekend!

I have just realized that I have lost all of my default hangers and buildings at all of my airports. Does anyone know what causes this? I have installed only a couple scenery add ons this week, Florida FreeFlow and Rhode Island by FlightZOne and everything was fine until tonight... WHat file do I need to restore to get all of these back?

Here's a problem for all you experts out there. I think of myself as a bit of an expert, but I am not able to solve this.Having used most of the previous versions of FS with great enthousiasm, I bought FS9 as soon as it was available. I was in for a considerable disappointment. The program won't run on my machine. Installation went very smoothly, but every time I tried to run the program I got the (generic) error message that "flightsimulator encountered a problem", was "sorry for the inconvenience" and "had to shut down". Hi Gang. :-waveI wondered if anyone is having any problems with FS9,:( I am talking about my recent issues that seem to have started just today?I have not added, or removed anything as such, but now all of a sudden today I am getting FS9 just bumming out to the desktop, and with no warning or reason whatsoever that I can think of.eg, I was not running anything else, no ASV or whatever, my specs are in my sig, I'm on FS9.1, and have been for a while, all my drivers are up to date, I even re-installed the CAT's in case it might have been that, but no joy.it seems to be somewhat random as to how long before it crashes, one time it was after about 25 Min's, then the last flig…

Flight Simmers, Ok here is the question that puts the cherry on top.. My question is does it do anything any different than the default GPS or is it some pretty graphics on my dash?If that is the case too expensive!!!!I have actually been reading about the real Garmin 530 gps... And it can reference off of satellites and you can do similar to an ILS approach on a field that doesn't even have a windsock...Is this feature included in Reality's XP Gps?Please someone help me. When I was taking a flight in my SF260 I could see that by airborne the word 'BRAKES' was written at the lower left.Pressing the toebreakes gave the word Differental Brake and CTRL . gave parking brake.I understand what parking brakes and differential brakes mean. But what is meant by onlr Brakes? As far as I know SF260 does not have any airbrake and neither appeared such a thing active during my flight.

Ooohhhhh, I just read Avsim's teaser for Just Flight's Traffic 2005 and it looks like it would fit in nicely. I know there is already a traffic seperater, but having this copuled with a traffic program would be great. Will have to keep an eye on this one. I have Ultimate Traffic now and like it a lot, so Just Flight's Traffic 2005 will have to be a lot better to cause me to pull out my credit card, but let's hope!!!!

I am sure addon developers frequent this forum so I thought I might post an idea - of course milage may vary but I think it would be interesting and possible with the current latest FS...I just got back from another real world flight and noticed that the frequency of fires, particulary SMOKE is higher than one would think (we see the SMOKE not the fire so the effect in FS would be strictly SMOKE). Now this was in the southeast USA not the West, where I know they currently have terrible forest fires. Not the same, just misc. fires that end up putting smoke high into the atmosphere.It gives a feeling of "life" down there and would really add to the realism of FS. Now to mak…

I downloaded a panel by Steve Southey to use with the Dreamwings Dash 8. It works good but has one annoying problem, whenver on the ground I hear the windows error beep sound going off like crazy, there are no warnings or anything going off and it only happens when on the ground. I have tried a reinstall of the panel but still no luck for the annoying sound to go away.
