I just got this sim (ip trainer 7.0) today and it really is fantastic-a second recommend for it for anyone serious in either learning or brushing up precision flying.One thing this program has that is fantastic is called "auto trim". One of the things msfs has always let me down on is trim. I have used a variety of controllers-but the trim is always quirky, much less not as easy to use in a real airplane-and a lot of the feel is just never right-and that is a good part of the flying experience on a sim.IP trainer has a button below the trim wheel called "auto trim". All of a sudden I am getting this message when I try to Load a fs2004 flight plan or save a new flight plan."Flight plans can only be loaded from or saved to Flight simulator files directory". The C:documents and settings/< my name>my documentsFlight simulator files is the directory that is showing in the window.Is this path in the fs9.cfg or where?Rich

Don't you just love it when something totally bizarre happens with FS2004?I just tried using it today, & whenever I try to 'Go To' an airport, it sends me to the North Pole!? No matter which airport I entered, it would shift me there.I then tried loading an existing flightplan - with the same result.I rebooted, & found when I tried to use Go To airport box there were about 20 entries for '102 Mile Ranch' in Afghansitan(!!) & nothing else.I deleted the Fs9.cfg file to allow a rebuild but the problem remains. I then deleted the entries in the My Documents?Flight Simulator Files folder (as that has given me problems in the past) but still no solution.Can anyone h…

Hi Everybody,I uninstalled FS 2004 today due to poor performance. My computer had never really had issues with FS 2004 but recently has lost half the frames I once had. I deleted and redid the CFG. file but it was still the same. I figured since it had been on my HD for quite a while and a lot of add ons it was time to start from scratch again. I uninstalled then went to reinstall. Disk one shattered in my CD drive. Is there a way I could just get Disk 1 without having to buy FS2004 all over again?Thanks

Hi Folks, Here's the mystery:Whenever I make any change in the "Create A Flight" screen, FS9 ALWAYS takes me to the same flight regardless of whatever changes I had made. The flight starts somewhere in Florida, USA and is ALLWAYS the same time of day, season and aircraft.If I start FS9 by going to the default flight, it does work properly and starts at the default flight. But, If I then go to the "Create A Flight" screen and make any change (aircraft, season, time, location etc.), it ALWAYS brings me to the mystery Florida flight with the same time, season and aircraft. Once I'm in the default flight, I can make any changes I want by pressing ALT and then using the…

I save my system to disc now every two weeks, regardless of any extra software i have installed for FS9. I do a full cleansweep and internet check using spybot, Norton utilities etc.. before saving and then roll back the system anytime anything goes wrong or not.I know this is simple advice, probably aimed at non-technically minded people such as myself, but it has really enhanced my enjoyment of flight simulator recently, so thought i would mention it all the same.Bye the way i have over 550,000 files on my harddrive, all of which are related to FS9.CheersDan

Hi Guys,This is my last movie for a while as I'm jetting off (for real) on holiday in a few days and when I get back I have a few other non FS related projects to work on.This movie has gone back to its original roots and is relaxed and chilled out, just how ibiza really is in the morning. Since installing Wing Views for my Projet Fokker I've found that none of my aircraft doors will not open in respose to Shift + E? I've tried assigning other keys but without succes. Perhaps I should mention that the problem may not be due to the Wing Views; although I noticed the fault just after I installed them.I would appreciate any help to resolve this problem.KenSomerset, England

I'm looking for a good sound set (primarily engine sounds as heard from inside the aircraft, abeam or ahead of the jet exhaust) for the B737-400 "classic". These engines have such a distinctive sound!Thanks for any ideas, much appreciated.Bruce.

Can someone help me with this please... I love the Pilatus PC-12 It is an excellent plane for many purposes also great for some of them tight airfields for bush flying... I am interested in being able to apply the default fs9 gps with this plane just for the terrain mapping. Can someone tell me how to do this.. I have already spent money on 1 gps system which is the reality xp garmin 530 which I like. But it doesn't have terrain mapping and thats what I need out here in the Himilayans. So could someone tell me how to integrate the default fs9 gps with my pc-12. Thanks,

After so many problems w/ SquawkBox3 I have decided to reinstall FS9 (Yes, I went through SB3 forum for help, but nothing has worked so far). I deleted FS9 and reformatted the partition I use soley for FS9. The installation went fine until on Disk 4 I got an error indicating WORLD.CAB couldn't be completley copied. I looked at my CD and saw that it has a large smudge of some sort that I am unable to remove. The installation gave me the option to 'Ignore' the error and continue. The rest of the installation went fine. I was able to start and run FS9, however a 'Scenery Read Error' showed up. FS9 continued to load into the default flight at Seattle but now most of my scene…
