I purchased the new Sandel from Reality XP last night and finally got to put it through its paces. As is typical of Reality XP's flight instruments, this one is very complete relative to the real instrument. There are many options available for the display screens as well as an integrated storm scope! The first thing I noticed was the fluidity of the display. R XP's work is starting to rival Project Magenta and X-Plane in terms of instrument smoothness and response. I use the keyboard for flying. Sometimes on course of my flight when I swithc of the autothrottle, and try to adjust the throttles myself using F2 and F3, I lose the one of the engines. I cannot seem to get the symmetrical control back. I can of course use E + 1 or 2 to change but I want to know how to get back the symmetrical control, which is vital on approach.

Has anyone tried these sceneries? I can't find any reviews anywhere. Chambery looks really interesting.Lee

Okay just having some fun here, with all the talk of "x-box" and the coincidental version number of the next MSFS - what do you think the next title of FS will be called on the retail package box? Will MS use the old roman numeral method? hmmmmmm...How about FS:X ?

Hey,After growing tired of seeing my local airfield over and over and over again I decided to fly somewhere new, but with the enormous number of airfields available in FS9 I was a little lost as to where to go. I didn't want to just transport to someplace new because that felt like cheating myself out of a journey, so I decided to start from my local airfield (as usual) and fly to another field close by. I'm going to install the Level-D 767 tonight (if time permits) and I already have a question about flightplanning. Until now I never bothered with SIDS and STARS (with the PMDG 737) but I'd like to make things more realistic. So I though about getting FSBuild too, to make more realistic flightplans AND to plan SIDS and STARS a bit more easily: FSBuild actually shows the STARS and SIDS which makes planning a lot easier. Hi there,I installed Crashbak 8d yesterday. The program didnt seem to work (I couldnt get it to find my fs9 directory nor manually nor automatically) so I decided to uninstall the software. Doing this, deleted the program and also the main directory in which i had installed it AND also all its subdirectories. One of which was my fs9 directory. I was able to unerase and get my files back, only to find that all .dll and .exe files of the uninstalled subs were gone. I dont know if its a flaw in the uninstall program of Crashbak, but just wanted to make the owner and other users part of my experience. Altough not an expert, i know my way around pc

I for some reason can not get the FMC to work correctly in this a/c.I have the LDS767,PMDG737,FT PIC-ERJ and have no issues with those.My problem is when I either enter or import a FP and select the Departing RWY the RNV distance always keeps to that RWY and when I t/o towards the next wayoint it still has the RWY higlighted in the LEGS page of the FMC and shows the distance from in the RNV.I also have theses weird A characters on some of the LSK and RSK selections, and in addition some garbage waypoints some in the thousand of miles in the route discontiuity page.Example: KLGA to KPVDDepating RWY 31HVNARENEPVDI cannot select or it will not goto HVN off the departing RWY3…

Where can l get a great flight plan for around America please.... l want to start from point A and fly around America.... l want it to be a light aircraft and just take my time... l don`t know any of the airports....Thanks Guys

Is there a way to set a default time/season to start a flight ? I often forget to select these parameters when starting a flight and find myself in darkness when I wanted to check out some new scenery I installed.

I was thinking, lots of people never know add-ons for FS even exist, be it freeware or payware. Considering how much FS sells, I'd say there's a lot of room for improvement traffic-wise. What I mean is, maybe many people don't bother to go online looking for add-on content. That could easily be fixed if MS threw in a little paper card on the FS2006 box that linked to their site (not saying AVSIM directly because I am sure it would cost lots of money to get AVSIM's link or logo in there) to find additional game content. Hi All,I have downloaded the cferj.zip file from Charles Fox and Bill Grabowski which contains a total packages of the Embraer RJ135.However, although succesfully installed, I get an error when loading the aircraft. It gives me an error about the ERJ.GAU. I have copied this file in the correct folder of FS2004, but it seems not to work.Did anybody have the same experience and found a solve on this one?Thanks in advance!Regards, Ferry

Hi, was just wondering if there is a checker car available for FS2004(those yellow vehicles that 'check' the runway e.t.c). I dont want static ground scenery, i would like a car that you can actually drive around an airport. I've had no luck with searching the file library and on other sites.ThanksMatt

Does anyone use FS Meteo with FS9? I have version 6.4 and it works fine but the updates every few minutes can be annoying. I realize there mignt be a pause as the new weather info is loaded in, kind of like a scenery load, but I also usually have a disruption of my airspeed, either slower or higher,with ovrspeed warnings if it is higher. It takes a few seconds to recover usually. I thought this might be due to a difference in wind direction, and sure enough each time the program updates the weather there is a drastic change in wind direction - I could have a 27 knot wind from 230 degrees and after the weather info is updated it could be from 90 degrees instantly. I was enjoying a nice 2 hour flight in my Piper Meridian when my wife called me for supper, and unfortunately the family schedule prevented me from going back to my flight. I was about halfway to my destination when I was interrupted so I hit pause and turned off my monitor thinking I would get back in an hour or so. I finally settled down to resume my flight about 5 hours later. I unpaused the flight and ATC was right there as normal, but I was now flying a slide show with 2 fps! I wasn't even getting a readout of speed or distance on the Garmin 530. I thought it might be a temporary thing for the sim to get back up to speed but no dice. It continued to crawl at 2-3 fps.…

hi there.. i need some general help not sure if im in the right forum but here goes..1st. when im down loading a new aircraft for FS2004 in my zipped file there are files:- tex,sound,pannel. but NO gauge files??? where and how do i get the gauge file from? or is it in there but under a different name?2nd when im flying on APP to ILS im lined up with run way ready to land. i dissengage AP and my plane seems to shoot off upwards????? why is this? am i doing something wrong?any help would be appriciated.warmest regards AL

Hello everyone. I recently downloaded the Freeflow Ultimate Florida scenery. In the read me files it mentions requirements such as trees by, ( I don't remember) and also recommends the water files. Can't I install it as is and have it work and look ok? Has anyone just done the default install? Thanks! Best regards, Jeff

Hi guys. I have been out of flightsimming for a long time, but I'm back now and with a new system! Anyway , the reason I'm writing is to look for some Help. I forgot that flightsimming was so difficult. I mean doing a flight with everything just going right is just as easy as winning the lottery. This time though, while I was making a flight from Lanzarote to Tenerifew (Canary Islands) with the fabolous flight1 ATR, just after take off, when atc was transfering me to departure, the atc window just didn't want to open. I had to leave the atc key pushed, and while the window flickered, as if opening and closing n times per minute, I had to hope for it to accept my command.…

I am running FS9 with an AMD 2700, 1 gig of RAM, and an FX5200 video card. Kind of a low end system but it has been performing beautifully until recently when all of a sudden all of my scenery textures have hard edges. The system is no longer dithering between different landclass textures and instead of blending them they have sharp edges around the texture cells for landclass. At first I suspected a file conflict since I have been heavily involved in the scenery project over at http://fs-freeflow.com/ . Does anyone have any suggestions? Hi all. I was wondering if anyone might suggest some scenery that I might add for the New York Area. I live near Rochester NY, and I'd like to start some VFR flights in this area and see some of the virtual sights :) I normaly fly IFR and don't get a chance to see much and I know there is alot of talented scenery designers, however I don't have a clue on what is designed for this area.Any suggestions?
