I have noticed with this bird, that I cannot slew the aircraft laterally in the spotplane view (forward, backward, left, or right). Elevation (Up and down works fine).I can switch to any other aircraft and all slew commands respond with no problem.I can switch to any other view (except spot plane) with the aircraft in question (B29) and all slew movements are also normal. Anyone else noticed this, or know a solution.Thanks:RTH

Hi,I am wondering where the top 10 or 20 sceneries are for FS9.I discovered Mt Rushmore from Rapid City in SD recently, but apart from the rockface it is a little disappointing for the mesh and textures for the surrounding area. I haven't been there (anyone been there-got photos?).The Grand Canyon isn't anything nice either.These are a few I think Microsoft deserve credit for. Does anyone know a nice but simple NG cockpit easy on FPS for FS9?I would buy the PMDG seriously, but I probably wouldn't get my enjoyment out of it using the VC as it might hit my FPS too much.Daniel-Website link deleted by forum moderator

I was looking at the review for Alaska Cinematic. It looks great. It states it works withg the UT product which is great. Dose it work with FSGen mesh.Is there a way to keep straight Mesh, Terrian, scenery, and the rest as well as which tend to compatiable with eacg other.Thanks,

Well, Megascenery, VFR Photographic etc. do include a mesh but you can easily find 30m mesh for free on the net.What these sceneries do is that they drape actual aerial or satellite photographs over this mesh. This gives you a 100% accurate, albeit "flat" rendition of the landscape.Ultimate Terrain is mesh, vector data and landclass. Not as accurate as photoreal, but fully 3D, and takes up less drive space.

Good evening everyone. I was wondering what is the best application to open up an MDL.CFG file. I wanted to experiment with a few AC I have issues with. When I use Notepad, or Wordpad it looks like Encrypted code. See below. Is this right? Is there a special program needed to open it up so I can read it? I work with CFG panel files alot and this has me stumped. It kind of looks like this with thousands of lines, and once in a while I see a word, otherwise I don't know where to start... could this be what c++ looks like? Hi,Just got around to trying the F16 from Olssons, one fine aircraft. Installed the Eurofighter as directed, moved the proper file to the effects folder... no AB in the F16, but it works fine in the Eurofighter. The documents indicate that this is a known problem that can be fixed by reloading the aircraft. Did this, still no AB. The nozzle opens, but no fire. Any help will be appreciated. Hi Folks, I'm planning a flight from Dinard/St Malo (LFRD) to Jersey (EGJJ). The STAR for Jersey Runway 27 (and my own inclination) is to fly direct from Dinard to the Jersey VOR on course 005 degrees. The approach plate for Jersey runway 27 starts at the same VOR and says to cross the VOR at 3000 feet and turn to 111 degrees. But this course change is 106 degrees and I thought turns this large are normally avoided. In fact, they are the reason for procedure turns. Can I really plan a flight with a turn over a VOR of more than 100 degrees? Or is there an alternitive I've missed?Cheers,N.

I recently purchased FVP's Pilatus and Meridian videos and I have to say they are pretty cool! At first I was content to just watch them then recreate the flights but it wasn't long before I'd figured out how to run the video on one of the LCD monitors on my cockpit panel while flying along on my primary monitor. It takes a little practice to synchronize the flights well but they are real time for the most part so it can be done.The Meridian is probably the better of the two to fly along with but I did notice that the Flight1 model is not quite as complete systems-wise as I always thought. Hi ive installed and re installed fs2004 many times but i still cant get any atc sound, ive checked the boxes and everything but its not working, the text shows up to, also the defult planes have no sound either!

Hello EveryoneI am new on the forumns so I apologize if this has been brought up before, but I can't seem to fix it. When I start FS2004 I get this error message "the requested flight file is corrupted or can't be found. Flight Simulator will now try and load the default flight". I have tried to do many things to fix this. I have tried making a new "default startup flight", and keep getting this message. Can someone help me fix it so I don't have to press enter every time FS starts to get past the error screen? Thanks.Mike

How to get an ATR VC with default Cessna plane behind it?I mean.. I am using 3 computers running WideView for outside views. (I have three front monitors and two monitors for left side view and right side view. My server is running the main FSim and the ATR-500 in VC Mode. But the other outside view has the default Cessna 172 in slew mode giving me the other windows. Currently, they have just the external view.What I want is the ATRs VC mode view of the other windows. which would mean that I have to load the ATR500 in the other computers. I want to avoid that.. Cause I want only the visuals of the ATR'2500 (VC and maybe even the 2D views). I don't want it taking any res…

What causes a uncontrollable spin in a helicopter?It seems like this occurs when I apply rudder? Are you not supposed to apply rudder?Is this a problem with the standard FS 2004 Helicopter model? Is there a better one to use?Thanks!Barry

I just received an invitation to join the Microsoft FS2004 survey. After installing the monitoring software FS9 ran like total crap - and a spyware scan today showed spyware on my system - and now everything is completely screwed up. This is the only file I've downloaded lately, and the only file downloaded before my system went screwy.I'm not saying it is for sure the source of my problems, but the timing would say it is, and I cannot think of anything else that caused this.
