When I get a new aircraft, I am always interested in determining my throttle and rpm settings for climb, cruise and descent, along with the airspeed and fuel consumption within FS. In case anyone is interested, this is what I found for the RealAir Spitfire. These settings are a little higher than is recommended, but I like to fly fast. Fuel consumption was the same at every altitude since their is no mixture control to lean the mixture (at least fuel consumption was constant in FS in my tests).Given that the fuel capacity is only 111 gallons, I don't fly for more than an hour before refueling. Hello, Is there something available to let one know when flying, that you have crossed into other area time zone? I know several years ago ago Stephen Colemen had a program that was included in his flight planning. He no longer is developing for flight simulator and he only did for simulator 2000 and 2002. It was a pretty neat package.

Have a question. I am flying almost long-haul flights with real time weather mode. If i use the flight planner from MS FS2004 - the flight time is never accurate cause it doesnt calculate the wind speeds on the flight. Any suggestions how to calcualte the real flight time ??Thnaks in advance

hi alli was just wondering whether high altitude turbulance is modelled in FS? i fly on Vatsim online and sometimes go through some bumps i just wanna confirm if this is modelled or not?rgds.

I saw a post on a forum once, where there was a tutorial how to put a little landing aid on the screen, this was just a little blue dot placed on the windscreen to help you line up for landing. I would now like to put a similar dot on the windscreen of a helicopter to line up with the horizon. Can anyone give me any help on this matter.

Greetings All,Is it possible to specify the desired altitude for the Lear L-2 Autopilot contained in Milton Shupe and team's Beechcraft D18S? So far, all I have managed to figure out is to reach the altitude I want and maintain it by adjusting the relative pitch of the aircraft. Am I overlooking something or is this the way the Lear L-2 works?Thanks for anyone's help on this.

Hello all and anyone that may have this product that flight one has available for purchase. I have been doing alot of Bush flying in the Mt. Everest area and Napal lately. And I noticed the Bear Tibet 2004 scenery. Is it worth it's bang for the buck?Besides Mesh I wonder if the rivers and lakes are laid out correctly?Or does anyone know of an upgrade other than this for that area of coverage such as all that mountain terrain in that area. Hi allAfter having to do a Windows reinstall 2 days ago I've been getting CTDs. I haven't had to reinstall for months & FS was running as smooth as silk.I think it's related to how I've re-prioritised my addon scenery, mesh & landclass within FS and possible conflicts arising as a result - stupidly I forgot to make a backup of my scenery.cfg. When my replacement CD arrives from Mircosoft I'll be reinstalling FS9. Should I also install the update to make it 9.1? Is it important?...worth it? Any downside in upgrading? I'd like to see what the FS community here has to say about it. Thanks in advance.-=MAB=-Edited to correct spelling error

Yochai Mossi, :-mad The light bmp file in all your FSP772v3*.zip is totally a wrong bmp file.The file fsp777v3*_l.bmp is not a light bmp, it was actually a "bare metal" bmp of the texture bmp namely fsp777v3*_t.bmp. If you read this topic, pls do check and correct them and re-upload the correct light bmp file. !:-beerchug

Hi All, With all the great 3rd party aircraft that have come out for fs9 (and the anticipated ones), does anyone know / have heard of a B757 in the works - a la PMDG or LEVELD? I have found some real good freeware models and combined them with Lonny Payne's panels and that's great, but I was wondering if a payware model was in the works anywhere. I find the 757 a gorgeous craft (long legs and all) and even if I think it's one of the more uncomfortable aircraft (coach) I have flown on, as long as I'm in the front office I'd be real happy. She fits perfectly in the range between the PMDG 737's and the LevelD 767 and would work out perfectly from my little home field (EWR)…
