Can anyone tell me why.... after having planned a flight, saving the flight and loading the flight....that my flight is NOT acknowledged by flightsimulator 2002 ATC? I hear other pilots receiving acknowledgement of their planned flights. How do I get F.S. 2002 ATC to acknowlege my planned flight (yes it shows up on the GPS)

Just sat here wondering what factor is it that determines flap deployment for take off? I have been 'flying' flight simulators since Flight Unlimited 1, but outside using tutorials I just set the flaps from none to flaps 15; depending upon 'how the maggot bites' :) Now I can't really see the Captain of a B747 greeting his flight crew saying " morning chaps, what flap setting shall we use today? then getting a reply from his P2, "well, Bob, we haven't used flaps 20 lately, how about that?" ..... Hi all I added a new version of FSsound.dll (i think thats the name) for an a/c but it always asks me if I want to load it, what do I change in the FS9.cfg file to stop that? thanks

I'm discovering that my textures have gone doolally in certain areas. So far I've experienced the problem below in Finland (shown) and Switzerland. Seems to be isolated to western Europe so far, but it's a mess.Looks like I might have lost, or incorrectly overwritten, some default stuff, despite being a careful sort of chap. Something's up, for sure. Would any experts know whether such texture files are to be found in SCENERY/EURW, SCENERY/WORLD or the main TEXTURE folder? Hi.I realize that if I choose any airport from Spain (except LESO,LEST-ICAO codes-try LEVD,LEMD,GCLP-only grass)and Portugal, when loading finishes, my a/c is standing on grass. I don't see any buildings, runaways and taxyways. I'm not using any mesh or scenery for that region. Could somebody give me advice, what files I must copy and where to repair my FS2004 Spain and Portugal airports.Also I have a problem with default Blagnac LFBO. One part of runaway (I don't remember which runaway :-))is corrupted. I have flashing grass above concrete, but only on the beginning of the runawayThanks in advance.Edin

I think I am starting to become bored of FS2004. I havn't really flown it in like 2 weeks now. For a change of pace I figured I would try a good World War 2 combat sim. Can anyone recomend a good one? I used to fly European Air War and Janes WWII Fighters, but they are a bit dated now.

Dear members, I Downloaded the Landing Lights Texture file for fs9(by Adriano Martoni),It is GREAT and compatable with all the aircraft i use,but unfortunately i am having an incorrect view from my main panel (see attached pic)of my Ifdg Airbus A319/320.Everything is ok from the spot plane view but from the main panel it's not:(.Is there maybe some parameters to edit from the panel.cfg or maybe the aircraft.cfg.if so could you help me pls?Thanks In Advance Justin

Recently, my atc has been a little screwed up. I would file IFR, t/o, and be handed over to approach/departure. Unfortunatly, thats as far as it would go. I would retain my clearence, and even though could be 1000 miles away from lets say chicago, I could still talk to the controller, but would be out of range to here anyone else(naturally). FS stopped handing me off past the departure state. I could fly halfway around the world and not be handed off. ALSO, if i would cancel my IFR, i wouldn't have an option to switch to the local approach or departure frequency. The only option that would be there is the nearest airports. I'm absolutely stumped at what the problem could …

This should go in the Hanger chat but it is too neat. Should be read by all who fly. Staff know they can move it if they want. Well, my neighbor came back from a flight. He is comming into CYWG but it could be anywhere. He says to me "Man, they had the upper flaps up before we were landing." He shows me and holds his arms up with elbows higher then his hands meaning the spoilers. "They use these for balancing" Well, the girls were impressed and he will probably get them before me but it was neat.JimCYWG

Which Weather Program is the best out there?

Hi,I have a weird problem. Some Caribbean airports (like TNCM) crash upon loading. After the 'scenery objects' had been loaded, the terrain is loaded and then I have a CTD.The strange thing however is that I can fly to TNCM and have no problem at all with the scenery.Even more stange is that when I (re)load TNCM whlist I am already on the airport, the scenery is (re)loaded without any problem.Quiting and restarting FS and then trying to load TNCM results in a crash.If you have any ideas/suggestions, by all means....

I cannot figure out why this is happening. I checked my scenery.cfg file to see if there were duplicate layer/item numbers, but to no avail.In short, every single time I startup FS9, it says it is "building the scenery" cache (even though I have not installed any new scenery). I have UT USA and Canada / Alaaska.Anybody notice that when you are at an airport that has mountains and / or hills the graphics are pretty bad. It appears to me that FS is taking the scenery from a higher elevation where it looks great and blowing up when the A/C is on the ground.Is there textures that can be used to make these mountain / hill more realistic.See attached image

Yesterday, I was flying the Flight1 C172 and the outside air temp gauge was indicating -1C -- nothing untoward was happening but I turned on pitot heating anyway - can't say that I noticed anything happening with the a/c or the panel.Barry

I wonder if there could be any reason for me to buy the new B1900C if you take this into consideration,I have decided to get the Aeroworx Beach King B200. If I understand things correctly these are very similary planes. I'm here thinking about the realworld planes. Is not a B1900 basically an enlarged B200?I already have B1900D and I was somewhat disappointed. But I understand that the B1900C is much improved compared to B1900D.Is it possible that I could like the B1900C if I didn't quiet liked B1900D?

Hi there all,Just did a short flight between the channel islands with the default scenery. But why does my framerate drop from 31.7 to 13.3 when using the Eurowings Pro or any other panel. Just downloaded Rick Piper's T21 glider. Unfortunately I do not have copies of soarrec.dll and fssound.dll. I have seached the web for a download site with no luck. Very grateful if anyone could point me in the right direction.Very many thanks

I saved a flight so I can use the setup often. The engines are on, brakes are one, etc..........I use that setup and all I have to do is choose another aircraft. And when I do that the new aircraft will retain all of my initial setup characteristics.All goes well. Except the Concorde. The engines are OFF. Why is that?I think maybe there is a switch in the Aircraft config. Don't know which one that makes it start with engines OFF.Would appreciate any help.Thanks.Abe

Hey Real World Pilots:With all data recorded on a flight, does a pilot get "dinged" for certain conditions that are the fault of the pilot?For example, Overspeed warning sounds, or any warning sound for that matter.If I exceeded my max speed for flaps extended, I get a warning.On ILS approach, switching to manual for landing and touch down, when the GPWS system says Glide Slope, Glide Slope...Basically any deviation from a perfect percision approach, could sound horns and warnings.Are there warnings that are more critical such as stall warning?Would like to hear about the Big Brother aspect of cockpit. And how every move is basically monitored.Thanks!Barry
