Ok guys, my first entry in this forum. I apologise if it's the wrong forum, but it's quite hard to navigate around. I also did a search and could not find anything related.When I use the wonderful 777 from Meljet, I always have a black screen as my LEFT Cockpit view. I also don't like the cabin views when I look backwards.Does anyone knows how to change this or does anyone has experienced the same thing? I'm quite familiar with textures, models etc. but not an expert, so all my tries were not successful. The problem arises with every downloaded Meljet-a/cThanks folks, and keep up simming...

Hi, can anyone give me the proper cokpit views for Meljet triple 7s. When i look left and get a wall (part of the inside of the plane). is there a way to get the cockpit view WITHOUT the virtual cockpit and see the wings and engines behind me like most other airliners out there?Thanks,Bill

Has anyone managed to act as instructor in another player's cockpit in FS9?I seem to remember someone posting either here or in one of the ngs saying they had done this.I tried a few weeks ago with the PMDG 737NG by hosting a MP session with a buddy also in the PMDG 737NG. I switched to observer mode and 'jumped' into his cockpit but the instruments did not read the same as his and my position in FSNav was not the same as his.If it is possible will it only work with default aircraft?TIA

The autopilot is NOT working right !When I change the VS-hold figures OR when I change the ALT-hold figures then the red/pink VS-indicater is NOT moving at all !I have reinstalled 2-3 times and the same problem appears - it workes fine on the King air and other planes but NOT on the LearJet45 !Why ?and how can I work around it ?regardsOY-KSOR

I can't see the beacon light on one of the planes I am flying. Beacons work fine with all my other planes as well as with AI planes. I have checked the obvious and less obvious possible causes:- the plane has power- the beacon light switch is "ON"- hardware rendering is at max- I have the FX_2.bmp fileI am running some add-ons while flying: ASV (weather), FSNav, FSUIPC (latest version). Also, I have installed a number of add-on planes (PSS, PMDG, Aerosoft Commuter, iFDG) and numerous add-on sceneries. No FSPassengers.Could it be that any of these add-ons or that any hardware settings conflicts with my beacon? What are possible causes for beacons not to show? I have posted…

Hi, Maybe this has been posted before, but i dont have the time to weed through all the PSS x Posky 340 threads.I am running the POSKY 340 with my PSS 2D panel and it works ok, there are no problems. But how do I incorporate the PSS Virtual cockpit with the POSKY a340. Is this even possible? I Currently have numerous wing view POSKY aircraft.

Hi - i have downloaded the POSKY 747-400 - it's a great looking model, but the front main gear does not turn on the ground, the aircraft just really slides around when i change direction to taxi, and i have their latest .air and .cfg. file for fs9.anyone help to get the front nose wheels to turn?:)

I'm not as familiar with FS9 devs, but some products from some very well spoken of people are being flagged with missing guages. Sometimes they refer to seemingly default guages like ST_KingAir when I am installing something totally different. I have not removed any default aircraft, but have disabled more than a few. No invalid or folders within folders.After more careful examination of the readme in a few cases I find that certain elements belong in the root FS9 and not "gauges" "aircraft" etc. Other times I get the same result whether I use the manager or do it myself f…

Downloaded the freeware Zlin yesterday and it won't load says it can't find or use a gauge. Anyone else experience this problem or am I the only one? I've checked and the gauge is in the gauges directory...

Hello everyone. I recently installed Fly Tampa SeaTac, TNCM, and carribbean add on scenery. I had to delete all of them due to performance. However now CTD all the time!! Sometimes right to the desktop, or MS error. The latest being weather.dll. I NEVER had this until I put these sceneries in. Now that they are gone. What could be causing this? I am so furious I have already busted two keyboards smashing them in frustration. It took me over 1 year to get my sim smooth,not to mention TONS of add on aircraft and now I can't fly for more that a few minutes if that!!!!! Please help me if you know what this is. When trying to takeoff from LAX for example, ATC only allows me to choose runways 7L,7R,6R and 6L. I want to be able to choose any runway to takeoff from.I've downloaded a number of afcads in order to try to solve this problem but haven't found a solution yet. Thanx

I'm curious to hear how other people use FS2004.Do you spend most of your sim time with a specific aircraft or type or do you hop around from one plane to another?Do you prefer a specific aviation era and will you spend most of your time with planes from that era? Hi Glenn,Not disagreeing with you here but considering the target group of the software and the common attitude of the industry we are bound to get an over representation of unrealisticly proportioned females as pilot.Maybe the soloution is a 'face tool'. Just Flights 'Flying club' has one and with it it is easy to replace a pilots face with a scaned photo of your own. In such a setup you only need two models(one with a male and one with a female pilot) and everybody's happy.GreetingsHarry

Many third-party helos crash immediately on the runway when I set up a flight in FS9 - EXTREMELY frustrating.I have checked and they all list being for use FS9.As soon as the sim starts the helo appears suspended several feetabpve the runway, (almost as if it has wrong elevation data for the airports) it then sinks below the runway (often vanishing into the runway completely) and crashes. I start with the throttle at normal idle - sometimes I can firewall it and stop the crash but not a good way to takeoff.Once the situation resets it just does the same thing again.This happens whether I start on the runway with a fixed wing or any other aircraft and switch to the helos, …

Okay, I have been simming for years, have many payware or freeware add on aircraft, mesh, landclass, weather, planning, hanger management, performance, panel, and other utilities. I also try to fly "as real as it gets" since I plan to start flight school as soon as college tuition for my son is paid. BUT I have never messed with AI or AFCAD. Never, nada. I have watched with interest each day the many AFCAD files that are posted here. I understand that these are primarily for assisting AI, so I have ignored them. Default AI exacts such a toll on my system I can't go about 20% (AMD 2.5 1G RAM, ATI X800 XT). I think this is because I am pushing pretty complicated paywar…

I have three questions about AI Traffic optimization.1. How do you get AI traffic to rolloff a runway faster and further down a runway. I notice that it seems to take a long time for a landing plane to roll off the runway. This holds up other traffic and often forces other AI traffic to have to do a go around. Does anyone know how to improve AI traffic performance on a runway after landing?2. AI traffic sometimes bunches up on the approaches forcing traffic to have to execute go arounds. Could anybody explain in a few words how this is supposed to work?Whenever I hit CTRL SHIFT O I get a message that no observer slots are free. Am I supposed to be able to be joined by another player in MY cockpit, to fly tutorial flights or share a flight? Does it work for anyone this way?
