I have seen a few a/c that come fitted with 2 GPS units. eg it appears that the new payware Cirrus has two GNS430 units fitted.I guess that if you are rich enough to buy a new Cirrus , then you can have whatever you want -- but there must be some practical reason for it.Any thoughts ?Thanks Barry

I just landed a POSKY 744 at KSEA flawlessly and at about IAS 100 during the rollout, the a/c shuddered like it had hit an earthquake on the runway and nearly crashed. The earthquake ceased at about IAS 80. I've observed this "earthquake effect" on other FS default runways, but it is inconsistent. Why does it happen in the first place?JS

I passed on the LD product assuming a 'must buy' on the 747, however after forum reviews I am reconsidering.simple question for those that have both; framerates?767 product appears a bit better?747 product appears a bit better?both are about the same?

I know TTools creates shortcuts to the aircraft list and flight plan list. But if I ever had to find them within the FS9 folder, I'd behard-pressed to do so.I've cruised around in the scenery folders, but I can't seem to find them in FS9.In the event I would have to uninstall and re-install the sim, I'd hate to lose all my TTools work. I'm assuming I could make a copy of each, and then plug them back into the new re-install. Am I correct?Thanks!Rick (KMKE)

I've been updating my AI fleet and just updated EditVoicePack for the first time in over a year. I also opted for the sped up voices. Very realistic. However, now I get strange instructions such as: 1) "taxi to stand D28" instead of the normal "taxi to gate D28". 2) I now talk to Cleveland Control instead of Cleveland Center. Same for Chicago, Indianapolis, etc. 3) "maintain altitude3000" instead of "maintain 3000"It sounds like I'm in Europe. I've always been a user of JustFlight's Traffic Series.Traffic2002 then Traffic2004.Now I was gonna upgrade to Traffic2005.. but am wondering about Ultimate Traffic.Any good?Has anyone tried both? Which do you prefer?

I have the Rutan Long EZ installed with the patch. (hbyct_v1.zip and hbyct_p1.zip) The Spot, VC and Tower views all work fine, but as soon as I hit the 3d Panel view, I get the only FS9 has encountered a problem screen. Any idea if there are anymore patches for this or am I the only one that has had the problem with this plane. Any and all replies appreciated.Mike

Friends Can any tell me if downloaded scenery for 2002 can be used in fs9. I have downloaded the BIG Alaska and the Chile files back when I was running FS2002.If I can I sure would like to,if possible. [email protected]

Hi guys,I have a pretty high end system (P4 3.6mhz, ATI 800XT PE, 1024Mgb Ram) and it has always run FS9 very well. Somewhere along the way I have lost my FS "sweet spot" and it's very frustrating. Mostly it seems to correspond to the addition of Ultimate Terrain USA but it's hard to say for sure since I've added quite a few things in the last few month. Basically I am having periods of horrific stuttering that seems related to the loading of textures for AI aircraft or airport buildings. I can see as I get closer that the structures are white but then the program stutters very badly for 3 or 4 seconds until they are drawn. At other times I get a stutter just as ATC start…

I have read in the learing center how to start a flight video....but i cant bring up in flight the options menu they are talking about and cant find out how to start the video...can someone help me?

I have been having some crashes to black screen lately, about one every other day ( most with NTDLL.DLL errors) . I have checked everything I can think of, and am wondering if I should delete the FS9 CFG and let it rebuild a new one. I am not anxious to go this route, wondering how long it will take to get everything set back to the way it is now ( minus the crashes of course ;)) Is there any trick people use to plug in all their old settings, or is it just the tedious job of trial and error, going though each one?

Wouldn't want anything harder on performance than the 737NG, which barely makes it for me (but I have fairly high standards when it comes to smoothness and adequate frame rate).Much appreciate your insights, and will buy based on what info is shared.Thanks!Noel

What do I do to fix this annoying problem? The farther I zoom out, the more wavy the textures are. When I zoom in, the textures look crisp. This is both in the VC, 2d, and outside views. I have an ATI X850xt, latest omega drivers.Thanks,
