Can anyone tell me how to avoid blowing-up the engine on this nice plane? From trying to translate the extensive Russian operating notes it has (I suppose, obviously!) something to do with engine overheating but even if I am cruising with low revs the engine still quits every few minutes and I have to reset it under Failures/Engine. Also, which is the relevant temp gauge to watch?ThanksDave

I've downloaded several airplanes, but in the case of the Boing 737 Aerolineas Argentinas, I've consulted with real pilots of the company and they don't know an Aadvark model. Is the name of the model designer or something like this?2 - There is a way to REALLY uninstall FS? I've uninstalled the game to "clean" some trouble but when I install it always remain as before. Periodically, I find that I cannot slew an aircraft forward or backward. Left, Right, Up, Down and Rotating left or right works fine. I can restart FS9 and everything works fine.I am suspicious that this has something to do with activating and deactivating active camera views but I have not confirmed that this is the only time this happens. In Active Camera I have the left, right, up, and down numberpad keys assigned to applicable active camera commands (forward, backword, left and right). If once Active Camera is selected I can understand even after it is deactivated (all checkmarks removed) that this could be the problem but being that some of the slew commands work (le…

Hi to all,I'm looking for some help to manipulate clouds in memory and other files like the halo etc.If anyone out there thinks they have the skill or knowledge to find ways to move, manipulate or swap these files I'm very interested to know.I did have one guy who said he could do this but that was several months ago now and he delivered NOTHING. I don't know WHAT, is wrong with my FS9 around VHHH...Flew two times from RJAA in my PMDG B744... Both times it froze around Guava intersection or Sokoe... ATC.dll was the cause... Then I reinstalled the FS9 patch, after reading posts about it... Now it just exits with out error...I Have Thomas Kwong's VHHHb installed, AFCADs, MESH and that is pretty much it...I tried changing AFCADs and Deleted the LC files that was included in the VHHHb package... But nothing helps...I flew one successful flight from VTBD... And there is an island which VHHH is next to, we got vectored away from it, and all the other times it crashed I flew much closer to the island... Maybe that is the…

Hi, anybody tried this? Did it run correctly for you?I downloaded it from here, installed as per instructions; no different to most other scenery infact, yet when attempting to fly from there, FS9 crashes about half way through loading the scenery/textures (aprox 56%).Shame; it looks really nice!

I love add-ons, but some are complicated, and seem to have major bugs which don't appear until after you download them.I used to have thousands of parking spaces and tons of AI, which all still show, including the parking spaces at my airports. Trouble is my airports, for the most part don't show my AFCAD2's IHAT DO SHOW IN AFCAD and if I try and change on the fly, my aircraft is non-visable in afcad. It appears as the old parking spaces are showing in default with new BGL buildings and scenery showing. I think this has to do with Airport Upgrade. Dear All,Can anyone help? A couple of weeks ago, my system failed to start. I wouldn't come up in safe mode, just the Black Screen of Death (Options for safe mode, normal start etc). It would try to load but stop half way. I assumed that I had had a drive failure and bought a new drive. I didn't want to reformat the original drive because I wanted to recover my documents from it. I attached the new drive and tried to install windows but it would start to run the installer then freeze. I cleared the CMOS on the board in case that was a problem, still no go. I know that many people bag Windows ME -- but when I used it for a couple of years, I was quite happy with it.But anyway, one of the "features" of ME was that the OS was supposed to detect which programmes you used the most and slowly move them towards the front of the Hard-drive for quicker access. Something like that. Does anybody know if XP prioritises the position of programmes in a way like that?Thanks Barry

I see in another thread (about the size of people's FS2004 folder) - that some people have compressed their folders.Firstly, how do you do this -- and can we have a discussion please on the pros and cons of doing so. I would prefer to hear mostly from people who have actually done this and what their experiences are. Hi:I've purchased approximately 15 products from Lago and have been extremely satisfied with all.I recently reinsatlled and was horrified to find I did not have a back up of the installation files.Thankfully, i was able to re-download all products (even ones purchased before 2004!) by simply logging in and submitting the relevant email.Great company!

I took a quick flight this morning using ASV flying from MSY to MOB. 9:00 am this morning the winds at MSY were 8knt and scattered clouds with no rain. The entire flight going over Gulf port was the same with 11,000' ceiling. When I got within 20 miles of Mobile I was greeted with 3/4 vis and 120 kt winds in from the north east. Still no rain. I was watching the news while doing this and the weather differs greatly from what I downloaded thru ASV and what is actually happening.

Because Ralph Tofflemire, Ed Green, and associates took such great lengths to make RFP 747-200 as close to life as possible, they appeared to have cut very few corners when creating the excellent but very lengthy checklist. At this point, I really enjoy the RFP 747-200. However, it takes me well over an hour to do and check all of the things I need to do and check before taking off, and that is when I rush! I don't mind the other required tasks after taking off, but that those initial checklists are a killer on the available weekend schedule. How are the other checklists out there on the newer super LDS 767-300 and PMDG 747-400? They must be considerably shorter, but…

I know this isn't sim related other than there were many people on Vatsim today flying in and out of New Orleans, but let's say a prayer for the folks that are really there tonight. This hurricane is going to destroy much of the area and I am afraid , take many, many lives. They are going to need all the help they can get.......
