I developed an application in VB/Access with the following characteristics:1. For years, I have read about deleting the FS9 config file ( after backing up of course) and starting FS9 to make a new one, as a way to repair many problems with FS9. I have always felt that this was probably something that was a waste of time, so I never did it. In the last couple of months I started getting Crashes to a black screen about once everyother day to sometimes once a day. I tried everything, and could not find the cause. Finally in desparation, I took the advice and deleted the CFG file and fired up FS9. I have been flying it for days now and it is sold as a rock ( rap on wood :) ). Guess it does work.........

Hey I just upgraded to the new FSUIPC 3.50, registered and I installed the great program FS Real Time 1.76 I believe and run start the Real Time program and then run FS9 and when I try to connect with real time its telling me a wrong version or its not installed. Does anyone have any help with this?thanksPaul

My Freedom anti-spyware scanner found the spyware "CWS.LoadAdv.400" in 3 of my FS9 files, as well as in a couple of files in another sim I have, Silent Hunter 3. It also found it in the registry key where the Catalyst control centre for the ATI drivers reside. I un-installed the CCC, and it got rid of the spyware in the resistry. I needed to do a re-install of WinXP anyway as it was running like crap, so after re-formatting and re-installing WinXP, the same spyware showed up again after I freshly installed FS9, SH3, and the CCC. The spyware was found in the exact same files as before. FS9 and SH3 are on different drives other than C, but I re-formated them as well. I rein…

FS9 shows this NDB (NF 311.0 kHz) in the sea off the Kent coast in southern England. Is there an NDB there?I have the 1:250,000 chart for the area which I don't think quite extends far enough to show it.

Hey,I'm looking to buy a regional jet at this year's avsim conference. Could anyone make any reccomendations? I want something that has good FPS and is well detailed (cockpit and eye candy). I'm leaning towards the Feel There CRJ... any opinions? We put a new server online, and moved the forums to it. Has anyone seen an appreciable difference in performance? Is it fast enough? Has it improved our forum service for you? I haven't heard much about the improvements, so am wondering if anyone but me has noticed?

I apologize if this question has been recently discussed! If so, I have totally missed it!I was thinking about this when flying a B767 in FS the other day.How is it in real life? Is maximum speed the only thing that matters? Or is fuel consumption of any importance? Is there some accepted balance between those two counteracting factors?I.e: at cruise level, what speed to set?(In FS, I use to keep the airspeed above 10000 feet some 30-40 knots safely below the overspeed limit!) Maybe this can be made in a better way?Just curious!Haraldh F.

Is there a way to change the range the you can tune an airport in FS9? I find that I cannot tune the airport I am going to (usually always big ones) until I an 15-20 miles away. (Sometimes I am 5-6 miles out) Seems I should be able to pick them up around the 35-45 mile mark at least. Always get nothing but three or four screens of tiny little fields. Thanks.Regards, Joe

Hi Guys, a question regarding having helicopters as AI Traffic, is it possible ???? If the answer is yes are the flight plans written along similar lines to planes, and finally do you have to assign them to the parking positions so they take off and land at the heliport for example, in Afcad. Im still pretty new at this, any help would be great thanks.

i experience serious sound problems while playing fs9 - the sound starts to stutter just after a few seconds. pretty annoying. any suggestions? can i change something in the fs9.cfg?

Hi all I have a problem. I just upgraded from aismooth v1.00 to v1.11a. All is well until I load flightsim along with fshotseat and ASV. once I asttempt to start a flight aimooth vanishes into thin air. No warning or error messages. Help if you can. Thanks in advance

I have a problem when runway,taxiways lines are displayed. First they are very jagged and also I see them moving across the run/taxiway as soon as the plane moves. I have enabled anti aliasing outside FS. How could this be cured?

I just discovered this , this month , in an article in PC Computer Magazine. It is called FS Autosave and it is a DLL file that is installed in FS9 Modules folder. It makes saves of your flight every 60 seconds as you are flying and saves up to a max of 10 saves , the drops the oldest one each time a new one is saved. If your sim crashes, or you crash, for any reason, you can select one of the saves in your FS9 Flight selection menu and restart the flight from there. Did anyone ever notice that almost all manufacturers design their throttles for left hand use? In reality the throttle is ALWAYS on the right of the PIC and the yoke is usually operated with the left hand, regardless of what airplane you fly.

Hi folks, downloading UT as I write, which Fs Genesis mesh is recommended to go with it? I was on the site and it is a bit confusing. The 38m stuff the mesh to get? I'm only interested in North America, specifically the NorthEast, for now. thanks!!

I downloaded Bill Lyons luscombe. Great plane. My only problem is that I don't have any of the clickable points on the exterior of the plane that are supposed to be there. I can certainly get along without them but thought they should work since it was advertised that way. Anybody know why or how to fix???????Don

Hey All;I've been searching for an answer for a couple of days with no luck.I'm wondering why when you have two planes which are about the same size in real life. When viewed through the sim spot view, both witha zoom factor of 1.00, one will fill the screen while the other lookslike it's off in the distance?Thanks in advance for any info.Bob

Hello Gang!I installed the great RJOO (Osaka) scenery by Eiichi Shimizu for FS2004, but regardless of which AFCAD file I use, the ramps and taxiways do not appear. The runways and the scenery appear, but not the taxiways. Lights all appear OK at night. Any ideas or help? 30th November 2005 marks the 60th anniversary of the closing down of the ATA.There were numerous ferry pools, but Hawarden and White Waltham come to mind.I wonder, how would it be if there was a 'Fly In' of some kind, at Ferry Pool airfields around UK, of the numerous types that they ferried - as a kind 'Air Pageant' to honour those 'Ancient and Tattered Airmen/AirWomen'...on 30th November 2005.Quite a few lost their lives on ATA duties.Please remember the ATA.Thank you.Phil
