Hi everybody!This question is not really related to an addon or the FS9, bt maybe somebody can help:Bill Bulfer offers two manuals for the 737, one for the 737NG only and the other covering all 737 (400,500,...,900).I only want to order one book for now, so which one is the better one? Which does have more pages, in-depth explanations? I don't want to learn how to use the FMC (I'm flying PS13 for years, the PMDG for some time now and know how to program a route and use VNAV)...Thanks for any replies,Stefan

Using S. Kahn's General Aviation file in RWY12 the Objects are placed correctly but no textures shown, just grey objects. This is only happening with the "GENERAL AVIATION" file. Everything is correctly entered into the correct folders. Has anyone experienced this.I have reloaded the file a few times, downloaded it a few times but always the same, objects, in their correct position, but no color or detail, just grey shapes.Any help will be much appreciated.Gerrie C.

"With the news that Microsoft may skip its traditional Flight Simulator 2006 in preference to a bigger, better upgrade further in the future..."Has anyone else heard this news?The source is the October 2005 issue of Aerospace Professional (a publication of the Royal Aeronautical Society in the UK) which has occasional items on flight simulation. It appears in a review of Airliner Pilot by a Tim Robinson. In a review of X-Plane 8.0 he also says "Possibly the only other feature it needs to dethrone FS2004 is some kind of interactive flying lessons..." I have no experience of X-Plane.

Hello all,I'm having some issues with the built in flight analysis tool in FS2004 resetting my flight path at which seems to be random intervals.For example: I will make a flight around area X and after Y amount of time passes by and everything will be removed from the flight analysis.I am wondering if anyone has any ideas of why this is occurring and of any way to fix this issue. Also, if there are any alternative add-ons that provide flight analysis, that would be great!Thanks.

Since picking up the PMDG 747, I have found myself flying higher than I used to, and I notice out in the distance, sometimes in the not too distant, textures haven't updated to the higher detail levels. Until I get up to maybe FL34 or so, I don't notice it. This is true regardless of my VM settings, and I have plenty of free ram available for what it's worth. Detail at lower altitudes is amazing. Some things I have done to improve the situation to the best knowledge will allow includes setting the frame lock at 22, cloud distance slider to 40 (normally at 70 or so formerly). I am using FSG mesh & FSCENE textures, default cloud textures, DXT textures for the aircr…

I lift my glass to Mr. Amenab Slade, whose finely crafted KPNE scenery I've just installed. Having learned to fly there (at Hortman Aviation), it will forever be my home airport (I'm on the west coast now). Though Microsoft did 'ok' with the generic scenery, I always found it lacking. The moment I fired-up FS9 with your scenery, I was 'there' again...and there was Hortman's building behind me !! (And there was the Jet Center fuel vehicles in my way :) ). Again, thank you for a first class job on an airport I've been hoping to see. I heartily recommend this scenery to anyone who's been there. Thank you. Quentin J. I dont know much of this company so I am wondering if anyone has purchased there KDAB or maybe some of there other sceneries. I think Daytona looks great with the track around it. I wonder what the frame hit will be though. If anyone can offer up an opinion that would be great.Thanks

I'm getting a CTD when I try to move my aircraft to the State of Florida. This started for some reason when I installed Free Flow Florida. I uninstalled it, but it would seem that there is something corrupted there. How can I restore the original scenery area without reinstalling the whole program and 10 billion add-ons?

Hi allI have been simming for a while now, but always end up looking enviously at others screenshots, and how great they are. I your wise opinion as simmers, what are the best freeware programs for scenery/aircraft? I know that the best are probably payware, but being a poor student I can't usually afford that luxury! Hi,I'm flying again the F1 C172 and I'm a big fan of VC. The problem is that the yoke hides the lower panel switches. Unlike other aircrafts it is not possible to click on the yoke to remove and I am not keen on going to the 2D panel to operate the swithches. Would you have a tip for me please ? Thanks

For anyone that has had the problem where on startup, FS9 hangs at the splash screen, it seems that this hasn't been a problem for users for some time. Well, it happened to me a few nights ago, and by stringing together bits and pieces from forum posts on the 'Net, I was able to find a resolution to my specific issue. The short answer and solution to my problem was to use Windows XP's System Restore to reset to a time about two days prior to the incident. Problem solved. G'day everyone,Just wondering, have seen Mags with the new Garmin G1000 now being fitted in most Cessnas (real ones), like skylane, 126 etc.Is there any software of this gauge available right now or maybe coming up for fitting on the FS Cessnas or maybe a Cessna already modified with the G1000? My rudder becomes stuck in "Right Rudder" mode (ball in extreme left) during takeoff casuing plane to yawl (or turn?) to right. I also have no lift beyond 1000 ft. Plane eventually starts to lose altitude and crashes.Thanks,Captainfender

i was going to do a flight which was 248nm long but i loaded fs selected the flightplan and the flightplan said 185nm is there any way of updating fs airways,vors,jetways etc

New computer arrives, configured with the aid of the kids' inheritance as my dream machine for virtual flight. Buy fresh 2004 to go with it. Install goes fine. Double-click on icon. Up comes initial pic of DC3. It vanishes, and now comes bliss. But hey, it doesn't. Nothing happens at all. Monitor screen is blank and black. I reboot and try swapping over disc 4 to the DVD drive.
