Before I spend hours (very possibly!) tracking down the cause and cure, I wonder if anyone is able to give me some leads here?I run FS9(.1) on the machine specified in the profile below - and it runs beautifully, even at high settings and a resolution of 1920x1200. The one consistent problem is that I get noise interference in the form of frequent, short (but quite loud) simultaneous 'squeaks' and clicks every few seconds. Sometimes everything is fine, but at least 75% of the time I get this annoying interference. Frame rates and everything else seem to be running fine. Very hard for me to find a common factor - it's not just with one plane or one sound file or whatever, …

Hi everyoneIn some of my addon planes, some parts of the vc are sometimes flicker or disappear for a while. I saspect that a change I made in the fs9.cfg causes the problem but I'm not sure ( I changed the TERRAIN_MAX_VERTEX_LEVEL from 19 to 21). If anyone has any sagestions please help me.My pc is Athlon xp 3200+, 1Gb ram, mb Asus a7n8x deluxe, Ati radeon 9600 pro with 5.8 catalyst.Thank you

Donny AKA ShalomarFly 2 ROCKS!!!Intercepting an ILS from 20 plus miles out seems excessive for any type. It's one of the biggest reasons I don't use the default ATC much. C4TO could be customised, and I was very comfortable with 10. Is there a .CFG entry to change it for FS9?Best Regards, Donny:-wave

I don't know about all of you...but for me, flying FS, for some reason, the process "System Idle Process" uses 70 odd some percent of the CPU power, where as FS9 is only getting 20 odd some percent? Is that normal? I doubt it is, so I hope someone can help me with it :)Thanks

I was wondering if there was like 1 addon that added tons and tons of new AI aircraft, i know theres things like AI advark and stuff, but i dont like downloading all those packs, And plus, i only have 56k, so, i would rather download 1 file, instead of hundreds of little ones to get the expericance i want

Using the GPS information will be displayed complete with pictures. I tried emailing the file to another computer and print it there but the pictures don't show up. Text is fine. Is there a permanent fix to this "fog" issue (which is not really fog), or will we have to wait for "FS10" and HOPE it goes away? AFAIK you can't use Real Weather and get rid of this ugly bug?

Which factors need to be considered when deciding on Flight Levels? I can imagine that Company SOP's and aircraft type play some part? Let's say a B737-600 with a Flight Plan from EGLL to LHBP; what would be a bog standard FL? I have to say that when I construct a FP I just pick a FL 'off the cuff' - as long as it seems reasonable :) but I never feel really comfortable doing it that way.Ken

I know I am forgetting something simple here. When I open FS NAV, Kneeboard, or FSBrowser, I get a black background instead of a transparent one. I must have screwed somthing up but I cant find it. Is this a video driver problem? I am using Nvidia 77.77 on a GF6200 256mb card. This is a strange one for me.BTW, the Dreamfleet Baron 58 RXP is awesome. Get it. Thaks guys and gals.

...is there a way to change default runways (like, for example...starting at SFO on 1R, when it should be like 10L/R). Or when there is no wind?Anyway to do through AFCAD or something of the sort?Thanks

I am looking for sound files that would go with the 737-300 and -400 models specifically. (I have the -200 series by Careri and the -800 series by somebody else.) Appreciate any suggestions, thanks!JS

Does anyone know of a way that you can make your aircrafts shadow visible from the virtual cockpit. Has anybody tried yet, or wondered if its possible? I thought it could add a little more realism. It looks like my Dash 8 wheels are floating in the air.......anyone?

The following link has 4 screenshots.The first a 767 ready for takeoff in spot view, the second screenshot was taken from inside the Virtual Cockpit. try to identify the livery of the plane and or the 'any' instrument inside the VC.The remaining screenshots are the exact same views.. try to identify livery in spot view and/or flight instruments in VC view.The only difference between the two sets if the date set on the sim... Is there anything I can do to correct a problem with my graphics running normally, then intermittenly, especially on landings, skipping and resuming to normal with a " rush " ?
