Hello, I have the latest version of ActiveSky great product really enhances flight. I have a couple of questions is there anyone out there that owns the latest ActiveSky & Weather-maker Pro 3? If so what are the differences between the two? And how does one depict weather better than the other? One thing I have noticed in FS is this. Of course being a pilot you are most likely going to avoid flying in a serious T-Storm. But I have flown it into some that probably should had the plane's rivets popping out. And of course with the ActiveSky it gets turbulent and it's bouncy but I wonder if there would be a way to depict a serious thunde…

Anyone have an idea why I'm getting rain on the windshield to look like splattered mud? I'm attaching a screenshot looking out rightfront view.Thanks,Gerry

ok, here is a very odd thing, just before im ready to go through my checklist the brake message and the atc messegas dont displaythe red bar is still there and the atc window comes up, and yes i can hit the 1 2 3 keys etc and they work, but i cant see them.anyone?ciao!Brian S

Hello, Whenever I set the TERRAIN_EXTENDED_RADIUS OR TERRAIN_DEFAULT_RADIUS above any value of greater than 2.0 it freezes the sim. Has anyone ever had problems with this. I would like to try higher values to get rid of blurries but can't because of lockups!Thanks,Todd

Hi folks!I`ve been wondering for a long time if there is any program for FS9 that allows you to have approach plates as a pop-up window on the screen while you are flying. So as you go thru the descent phase and app. prosedures, you can read the plate at the same time.does anyone know about any freeware or shareware program like that?im am extremely sick and tired of printing page upon page ofIAP and SID/STAR plates as well as airport diagrams.And i fly all over the world so it would have made my flightsimmingmuch more easier and fun if there where any enhancements like that!thanks for helping out!Yngve

Strange one this.On the majority of my aircraft, ATC voices are loud and clear, but on others (eg. Eric Cantu's wonderful Boeing 737-200), I can hardly hear ATC.Looked in the aircraft.cfg file. Doesn't seem to be anything there to cause this problem.Any ideas please?

Hello All:Really in need of some help. I purchased both Volumes of Aerosim. They were fairly large downloads. I might be missing something in terms of installing the packages. When I start up FS9, I can select the aircraft, all the switches work however, when I try to activate the A/P FS9 shuts down. This does not happen with any other addon I have (PMDG 737/747 DF727 LDS767 and more)What could be the matter. I see from a number of posts folks are raving about the package. The guys at aerosim seem helpful. Their suggestion was that I update my sound (audigy2) and DirectX which I did. All other FS Addons are fine.Any feedback would be appreciated.ThanksRay

Hi,While playing around with the ai engines sounds using the sound recorder that comes with windows XP, I've noticed that the default FS2004 ai engine sounds don't fade as fast as the ai sounds I use for my ai aircraft.Is there, by chance, a parameter in the Aircraft.cfg (or elsewhere) that can change the the length of the ai engine sound fade?:-hmmm I know the ability to change much in the ai aircraft is very limited - such as the pushback that is really not needed by GA aircraft and biz jets.Just wondering. Well, i was wondering if there was any other great freeware or payware addons to enhance everything else in FS04. Reason why i ask is i constantly need to upgrade and download new stuff for a game or else i grow bored of it and stop playing it. So, if anyone can recomend any great addons to enhance FS04, please do so. Also i dont care if its payware or not.

I simulate real world flights, and try to duplicate real world airline flights to the Tee....For example, before I fly a scheduled airline flight in flight simulator, I track it on the Internet (in real time), capture the exact flight path, altitude, and flight times. I then download the same weather the flight flew in, and set up a flight in Flight Simulator, to simulate all the details of the real world flight. However, one thing I don't know is the real registration of the aircraft that has flown that flight. My question to you.... How can I get the registration of an aircraft on a particular flight? I know the aircraft type, but would like to know the registration…

I've been trying to create a decent approach to KBOS but so far it does not seem correct, at least to me it's not. As you can see in the included pic, the magenta line makes some drastic turns before lining up with the runway. I'm using the sample plan included with the PMDG747. The plan is called JFKBOS001. How do I go about planning a more realistic approach that does not involve such drastic maneuvers? Thank you.

I have been getting some of the larger airport sceneries in Europe EHAM, CDG, and I already have the London airports from UK2000. I will probably update to Heathrow pro and when Aerosoft releases EDDF I will delete the Simflyers. I also have the new Spanish airport sceneries. I am asking here if people can recommend anymore European sceneries and also can anyone tell me how the Rome scenery is that Cloud 9 did. I love there EHAM and have been wondering what there LIRF is like.Thanks for any info

I've often seen it said that there's some inherent difficulties with regards to FS and turboprops, making it difficult for them to be modelled with high fidelity.In layman's terms, what exactly are those difficulties? And what ramifications do they have on the resulting product?Thanks in advance.

I waited until it was out of beta, then downloaded the new patch when it was announced this morning. Install went fine, I thought, until I tried to fire up the program. Said there was an error of some kind. I posted a query in the ActiveSky forum before leaving for work, but still no answer. Bottom line: you might want to hold off on this one, at least until customer service comes online. Of course, your mileage may vary and no doubt everything went fine for the beta testers.

Well, we already have a wide range of aircraft paints to choose from for the L-1011, which is just tremendous. Trouble is, to my knowledge, we only have the Aerosim sample route plans available to all for the FMS. Stefan's conversion tool must be spawning some new routings; should we pool them here in some way? HiAs you can see, I do not post too much. I do lurk quite a bit though. I hope this is not perceived as an advertisement. It is not. I have been helping a little, very little with beta testing the updated T37. I have enjoyed it so much I just wanted to share. Jamal said it was ok to talk about the new improved T37 and post screenies if I wanted. I have never posted a screen shot, or much of anything to a forum.
