I am one of those poor unfortunates who can't (couldn't) get FS to run at a decent lick. However, I suspect I have at last found the problem. I have always run with UK2000 airports, Genesis UK mesh and UK landclass. However, recently I bought MyWorld world landclass. No difference. I also bought the F1 ATR, it then ran a little bit slower in that a/c as one might expect. We a talking 6-8 FPS landing somewhere like Southampton UK with 100% default AI + UK2000 AI and about 13 FPS most other times. I know that one answer is the RXP gauges but are there something more? Can we use the skills earned in the commercial lessons (which uses a Baron) and directly use them with the DF Baron? I suppose it's not possible to do the commercial lessons with the DF Baron?

Hi all,Well, Mike Stevens and I have finished. After many months of work we have completely redone the CA59 scenery using GMAX terminals for 15 airports (the ones we had photos).Please keep in mind that this is a scenery that has detailed terminals for 15 airports, and is not constructed to the kind of detail as your favorite payware airport, or even single airport sceneries. Ive been using the new AIsmooth 1.11a now and was wondering if anyone else is experiencing a lack of arrivals into the airfields? it seems all i get is really takeoffs..no landings..if so maybee 1 or 2.any ideas? im using the default settings.

I installed Ultimate Terrain and immediately noticed a huge increase in stutters at low level. I then patched it to the latest version and got a slight improvement but for example when on finals to any airport, I get a very slow slide show almost to the point where it is impossible to land. Any ideas? I've backed off my sliders-again a slight improvement, I run Ultimate traffice but have lowered the ai setting to "what's the point of having ai". I need some help here guys. Oh and this occurs in either the default aircraft or addons.On the other hand at high altitudes UT is incredible and has really woken up FS9. Any help appreciated.Andy

Hi,It's really is a shame that when an exciting addition to the file library appears, like the recent Yakolev Yak-18T release, a thread announcing and recommending same can often be in real danger of being sullied by unnecessary and inappropriate exchanges between some Avsim members. Is this possible, or has anyone done it yet or attempted it?I thinking of buying the RXP JL2 to upgrade a few of my GA planes. Particularly the 337 Skymaster. If it's not possible then I'll go with the SN3308...but would prefer the JL2 over it. Any and all suggestions are welcome ;-)

Hello, I skimmed through the file library and I was looking for a way to put FS9's map in my kneeboard so I do not have to pause and look at the map from hitting alt-w-m for the map. I also have FS Build was wondering if there was a way to put the course I plotted in the Kneeboard somehow? Anyone know of anything like this or have any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Does anyone how to move the view so that I am directly behind the aircraft? Using Shift + numpad never allows me to get right behind the aircraft (for the purpose of taxiing).ThanksRicardo

Just thought I'd post this for anyone else who was experiencing the same strange problem.If you've downloaded Bill Lyon's Waco Classic Flights, there is one flight called "Lucky's Landing". No matter what I did I could not load this flight. It would either "flash" reload the flight I was currently in, or even on start-up, would load the default flight at Tacoma.Well, the answer is quite simple if you are having the same problem. Look at the name of the flight. It isn't Lucky's Landing.flt, it's Lucky's Landing .flt. Just remove the space before the .flt and everything will work just fine.Go figure.

Does anyone know of any other scenery packages for the New York area besides Megascenery? I tried out Megascenery and I was kinda dissappointed. I know Aerosoft has a nice looking package but it basically only covers a small area (Manhattan). Thank you.

When someone makes a post with the leading subject "Question" they are (90%) of the time looking for an answer to that question or questions. This post will be some what big with some questions I have. Mainly I have these questions because I am a causal flyer and don't get out much :).I am a "Stay at home Dad". that means I get to keep an eye on my 4 year old while my wife brings home the bacon.
