Hello.I have purchased Flight Environment for FS9, because I was getting tired of the default sky and water textures.However, I have run into a very annoying problem.The program installs and loads textures into FS9 just fine (or so it seems), BUT when I fire up FS9, only the horizon has the Flight Environment textures while the area I'm flying in uses the default textures. There's just a straight line in the horizon beetween FE's and FS9' textures. Needless to say, this looks horrible so ANY help is greatly appreciated.Thanks.Aleksander.

Hey everyone, man did I screw up, sort of. Somehow, when I went to open up my FS9cfg file to make a few changes, I wasn't paying attention and told my system to open it with flight simulator instead of notepad. To make things worse, I clicked so fast that I did not uncheck the box that is to open with this all of the time. OK, of course the result wasn't pretty. I then right clicked on the FS9cfg and opened with notepad, but here is the problem... I had to tell my system to open with note pad all of the time to stop it from using FS9 as I stated above. Now the file accosiation is with note pad, and the file's name is just FS9, not FS9.cfg with the window flag icon. FS9 s…

In searching the forums I found nothing on this topic since 2003/early 2004, so I assume no one is following those threads anymore.I am looking at the Elite MEL Quad and the Elite KA Quad. I am all but sold on the KA, and having viewed thier forums and speaking with their administration it looks like all is good using this with FS2004, thier driver, and a registered version of FSUIPC.Does anyone have any experience with Elite Quads they would like to share, or things I should know before I drop $300 on it?Thanks for all information,Robert

Hi All, I bought Maddog 2004 from simmarket.com on 7-30-05 and patched to v1.42. the lago site does not seem to recognize me as a customer and therefore I can't download v1.5.Lago has not responded to my question as of yet, so here goes....Has anybody who purchased Maddog from simmarket been able to upgrade to v1.5 yet? Sorry if this is a silly question, but how do the default Microsoft aircraft rate compared to the best freeware and payware aircraft?The most obvious difference seems to be in the panels. The default aircraft tend to have much simpler, and presumably less realistic, panels, with much larger dials, while the better offerings have more complex panels, but with smaller dials. Speaking as someone who isn't running the sim in a very high resolution, I find that the more complex panels are often more difficult to read and sometimes to control. In spite of their relative simplicity, the default aircraft panels are a lot easier to use, especially in a lower resolution.Then the…

I was wondering the best way to get a larger drive and transfer or reinstall to a larger drive. My C drive is close to being full and I am wondering if I should transfer everything to my D drive as it is also getting full. Any suggestions would bew great and I am hoping to not have to reinstall everything again.Thanks Shayne

Well I decided to take the Level D 767 flying in the Hurricane in Florida today and I departed Sarasota at around 1330Z and headed for Miami Intl. I have been really enjoying handflying the 767, so I decided to handfly the entire trip using the F/D for guidance.I got on top of the clouds at around 12,000 on the climb out and was pretty much in the clear at my cruise of FL230 until the start of the descent around 70 miles west of MIA. I've noticed that I have developed a 3-5 second delay in the default FS9 GPS whenever I zoom in or out. I press one of the zoom buttons and the GPS screen seems like it takes about 3-5 seconds to refresh. I've also noticed that while banking, the GPS is no longer smoothly updated or refreshed. It makes jerky movements as I continue with my bank. I do not recall the GPS being like this when I first installed FS9. Any ideas? Oh I forgot to mention that I was using the GPS with the Flight1 C172 and not the default C172. Thank you.

Congradulations to Captain Sim for Getting the C-130 Flight Dynamics almost perfect.I have spent 3400 hours in the Engineers seat of the actual "H" model version of the C-130 in which I was responsible for Charting Takeoff and landing Data plus participated in my share of Aircrew Standardization checks and Test Flights. I have flow the Captain Sim C-130 several days now with the focus on flight Proformance. The Aircraft has preformed to within 5 kts of charted Takeoff and Landing Data in the 115000 lb, 143000 lb, and 155000 lb Gross weight range.Also Preformed were Power off stalls at 135000 lb gross weight range with wings levels and flaps at 0 %, 50% and 100%.
