Could someone who has installed this FS2004 aircraft assist his inexperienced operator in getting it ready?Am somewhat familiar with installation as I have a couple of dozen of aircraft added, but this must be my error in failing to get this aircraft going.I use Addit-Pro to check for problems in my fleet and in this case I get the following:- The aircraft configuration file's 'sim=' entry points to a file that does not exist. Dear Pilots and Meteorologists,I recall a thread some time back on this subject but it's possible it wasn't even in this forum, I suppose; I can't find it, anyway. I always fly with FS 'real weather', continually updated by cable. For a couple of months, though, I have tended to find that whatever the weather loaded by the sim, I have a layer of poor visibility below 1200 feet (approx). Is there some setting in the FS9.CFG file that overrides real weather in this respect, and which I need to change? Or something in the 'user-defined weather' settings that overrides 'real weather'. Hi,Have any other owners of the Skymaster noticed anything quirky about the flight dynamics of this new plane from Flightsim Developers? Their stuff is usually top notch with very stable flight models.My experience with the new 337 flight model (.air file) is that it does not seem to be as refined as most other FSD products. Not trying to be overly picky of course, but it seems to (1) 'leap off' the runway like most default FS2004 light planes, (2) seems to be difficult to trim properly, (3) seems to need way too much rudder for coordinated turns, (4) seems to exhibit too much skid when aeilerons are re-centered during banking. Am I going insane or does the C130 can not be started from cold/dark setup, anything i do i can not get this bird powered up, however it does startup if i do CTRL+E which is default MS startup. can any one shed light on this, drives me crazy, awesome plane but for goodness sake startup is not working.ThanksAndre

Any one knows what happened to the texture upgrades that avsim previewed 2 weeks ago? i think the pictures of the textures where here in this forum. it was ground and effects textures (like reflections) in one pack i think. i dont remember the exact details. i alredy did a search in the avsim news and the forums but i cant find nothing....by the way, i'am new in this forums. and sorry because my english is bad. i'm learning and sometimes i dont know how to say things.

First, Good day all. Long time lurker here first time poster,lol.Here's the problem- Every time I fly the defaualt 773 the default ATC after landing always and without fail directs me to park in the general aircraft parking area, i.e were cessnas go not the gates themselves. I tried to cure this by adding the following lines to the cfg file---atc_parking_types=GATEBut this does not work and it still parks me in the general avaition areas. Can someone offer suggestions?? another thing I have noticed is there is no 777 default ai traffic at any airport either. There are a few SUPERB freeware aircraft (let's use the FFX/SGA 737-200 as an example) whose reflective textures appear to me to be a bit overdone as seen in FS2004. Everything I've read on this says that you need to tone down (lighten) the alpha channel to fix it. I've tried this, but it doesn't seem to have any effect. This suggests that I'm not saving the texture the way I need to, but yet I can see the lightend alpha when I reopen it. Here is the sequence in words that I used to start the C-130 after loading in FS and THEN shutting down the engines manually.I would like at least 3 folks to please e-mail me and I will be happyto send you the Word Document as well as three jpg's I have made and give it a try so that if there are inaccuracies someone would tell me so i can revise it.I have personally tried it 12 times and it has worked fine for me.I don't claim that this is the correct prcoedure per a real C-130 manual....just the one that I have found to work by reading the manual as well as gathering bits and pieces of forum posts. Greetings, all.Well I gave in and decided to try the SSW A310. Trying to follow the tutorial, though, it keeps telling me to "place the EGGW-EDDF.FPN file in my SSWFlights folder. problem is I cannot find this FPN file anywhere on my computer and it wasnot included with the PDF tutorial from their web site.I already posted about this on their forum as well, but AVSIM here is MUCH easier so I will probably get a quicker response here . . . .Thus I ask . . where do I get this FPN file? I keep getting a d3d9.dll crash after a few hours of flying, no matter where it is in the world. I have replaced my main texture folders and not found the cause. Any help would be appreciated

I have just discovered that several of my aircraft are no longer showing the working gauges in the `small panel` thats the one between the full 2d panel and the `no panel` screen. From what I understand, the Just Flight 707 Professional is the same piece of software as the Capt Sim 707 that there were so many gripes about from people who bought it. Yet, when I read the review of it from Flightsim.com, they speak of it as if it were a classic piece of flight simulation software of the highest caliber. It obviously can't be both. Hi after reading how wonderfull the new payware c-130 is and being some what financialy challanged (skint) a search of the library unearthed this gem by Simshed c-130c3.zip all the bells and whistles including a working V/C . I like it. cheers John
