I will be in the London area on Saturday the 22nd. Matt Johnson (our technical guru) and I are thinking about having a get together that evening. Are there any London (or near by) simmers interested in sharing a few pints together? Lots of things to discuss, and I would love to hear ideas, suggestions, concerns from our fellow flight sim community members on any subject related to the hobby. Does real-world weather override the calendar date in FS9? Tonight I set up a flight out of Albany, NY. Because I have the BEV summer textures, I chose DAY and SUMMER in the Flight Planner. The calendar showed August.Then I chose real-world weather. It's raining and snowing here in NY tonight and when I started the flight, it was raining as I taxied out and took off. When I got airborne I looked around and saw snow on the ground.It was really amazing that the weather was perfect for what it really is here tonight, but very odd that snow would be displayed in August. Does anyone know if it is possible to replace the Aerosim DC-10 INS with the CIVA INS unit? This would depend, I believe, on how the autopilot is modelled. Has anyone tried this yet?

I have the CS C-130 and would love to be able to get some of the liveries that are advertised on their site. But, everyone of them has it's download link pointing at the CS home page. What give's? Anyone else had any luck getting to them?

Hi, I have some panels that are perfectly centered when looking forward, but some panels seem to be pointing nose down a little. Where on the panel config do I need to adjust to get the perfect centered view?Thanks,Bill

Fellow Simmers,I am at a complete loss at this point trying to figure out what to try next - I get a complete BSOD that comes back with a 'Machine Check Exception' any time I try to use the fairly-loud JT8D sound sets on Erick Cantu's 737-200 and 727-200 models (the sets that are 'designed' for them). I have an Athlon 3500+ with a SoundBlaster Audigy 2 ZS Gamer Edition sound card in this machine.The strangest thing of all is that the BSOD's don't occur when I use the 727's with Richard Probst's panel (a great panel, but I prefer Ken Mitchell's).I have seen a few posts around that others get the same high-pitched squealing whine, then the sim locks up, and then XP crashes.…

I am looking for a repaint of the IFDG 319 in the colors of the Brazilian Air Force VIP plane. I have seen the plane in the library before, but now I can not find it. Can anyone help?

I'm looking for this. I know mostly of the add-ons today are for fs2004, but I've read that some people are using modified fs2004 add-ons with fs2002 with great success.I've always missed the dc-9/md-80 in fs, so help would be greatly appreciated. I downloaded the SAS DC9 v.4 FS9 by Stellan Hilmerby and the it seems to work with fs2002, but I question my landing with the DC-9-21 with only 70-80kts at touch-down (full of fuel).I'm specially interested in a good merge with the SGA-models, their flight models are pretty good, aren't they? Thanks for this great freeware scenery. I installed it today and flew into ORL from Craig (KCRG) from up in Jacksonville, FL in the Flight1 PC-12. Great flight! What made me post about this scenery is this though: After landing and taxiing off of the active runway, I contacted Ground and asked to taxi to GA parking. To my surprise, and great glee, I was simply told to taxi to GA parking. What's so great about this to me? Well, it allowed me to park at whichever GA FBO I wanted! I know that it's more realistic to be given directions but evidently the AFCAD file tells FS that once youre off the active runway, that you have arrived to parking. I say this 'cause after request…

For some time now I have experienced a problem when viewing videos. Part way through the video stops and the following error message appears: "Windows Media Player cannot play the file. If the file is on another computer, verify that you are connected to the network. If you typed a path, verify that it is correct. If the problem persists, the server might not be available."This doesn't occur with every video, but with a substantial number of them. The most recent was a few minutes ago when viewing the Bill Rambo video of the MAAM B-25. Any ideas?Thanks.

I have tried Ultimate Traffic and FSLive Traffic (the demo) and my framerates get cut in half with 75%-100% Traffic. But worse I get bad stutters when approaching any airport with traffic. The stutters are terrible.I am running a very high end machine and experience no stutters then traffic is turned off. I have a p4 3.6 ATI Raedon X850 PE.What is the best AI Traffic for framerates that looks the best. Any help greatly appreciated.

I have tried the new york scenery mod files that are supposed to improve the world financial center and add teh Twin Towers back. I after loading, I turned scenery complexity all the way up. I think I see the improved WFC but I can't get the Twin Towers to display.Anyone know what's going on?Bill Smith

so, I decided to check out the new a300. First impressions btw are great, and the customer support is wonderful. I download it, run the executable, then reboot to get rid of all the "stuff" I have in memory and then start fs using the autostart utility that shuts down my myriad processes that somehow ms allows to run in the background. Now we're at about 5 minutes and counting. So it's chugging away, and chugging away, and I'm anticipating my first flight, thinking I'll do CYVR KSEA first, a short hop with lot's of navaids and a simple ils approach.
