Anyone know whether Captain Sim means to activate the download links for their free C-130 liveries?The links haven't been active during the "beta" process, nor upon release. Has anyone received a response from them regarding these?

I created a flightplan with Flight Sim Commander 7.5 using the Boing 727 (I flew DF727-200 padssenger). According to the plan a total of 1830 lbs of fuel was required. I filled the plane with about 8000 lbs. Still I crashed because I ran out of fuel. Why could that be?The flight didn't take ant significant longer time than estimated.

Can anyone help solve why I get a grey blanket, as in the attachment to this message? (Co-ordinates on screenshot - along the coast from Seattle).I have US landclass (and terrain mesh) installed (from FSGenesis), but no other scenery or landclass files in that area, so I can't see that I can have missing texture files, (in theory at least, 'cos I can't see what else the problem could be). Others with the USLC files installed do not get this bit of missing texture, so it's obviously down to my setup somewhere. In any case, if I uninstall the USLC files, the grey rectangle is still there..Thanks,Martin

I recently Purchased voice Buddy after coming across it on a website and subsequently read reviews on it and thought it would be interesting.Unfortunately im not very impressed with it as it dramatically reduces the performance of FS on my computer and causes alot of stuttering and drop in frame rates,especially at airports.Are there any specific settings I should know about or is this a known issue with the program.Does anyone else have this performance drop when running the program.Pity they dont have a demo version to try first!My systemAthlon 3200 processor1GB RAMGeforce FFX5500 graphics CardAny info please

Hi all,Can you recommend good payware for German airports. I am interested especially EDDM & EDDF and EDDL. If others are included as package that is nice bonus.What I am looking is something to level set by Flytampa KFSO or UK Scenery Heathrow pro v2 package. I have Simflyers EDDF and performance with Level-D and PMDG is to my opinion not good enough despite powerfull PC. And I am not too impressed with scenery either.Best Rgs Perttu

Does anyone know of a good tutorial for the great LDS767? I would like a sort of checklist to know what button to push when sort of tutorial, perhaps with an actual example of a flight. Hi all,I have discovered a very strange phenomenon : when I position my (cold) airplane on Atyrau airport, at first, everything is OK. But after a few seconds the airspeed is increasing at an enormous rate, the indicated airspeed increases to 130 KIAS, and the airplane, still with engines not running, is lifted in the air and crashes.I first thought that this was linked with the fact that this airport is below sea level, but I managed to find other airports in that case (KCLR and KBWC), and there, everything is normal.I had a specific AFCAD for that airport from Ultimate Traffic. Ok, I used Fraps to record the video and its pretty good.But it can't record the sound. It wants to use my microphone, so I unplug it and it records no sound. I want to record the audio without having to put a mic up to the speakers and having it screech.Could someone tell me how to record the output of audio...like recording the sound thats going to the speakers?

For some stupid reason when I load up FS in any aircraft all the engines are on, etc.It used to be I could start cold and dark for the most part.Anyone have any ideas as to why?Thanks. Recently there was a thread about sectionals to load onto Googgle Earth. I loaded sevaral sectionals until yesterday or Wednesday.Today I cannot load any new sectional. Thruogh Googgle I get a http 404 File not Found.Going directly to the http://fox-fam.com/gefiles/sectionals2/ I apparently find what I need. But if I try to execute the loaded file (ex: I5.kmz) I get image not found.Then I wanted to use an already loaded sectional and I also received the error message image not found.Any idea what is happening with these sectionals and the http://fox-fam.com/gefiles/sectionals/us_J_9.jpg per example ?Roger

Computer Resources and how to minimize use of by other programsI want to know how I can stop some programs from running when I start my computer. I have to go to the Task Manager (Ctrl-Alt-Del) to shut down almost a dozen programs that I don't want running hogging my memory.And then there are programs which I don't know and I wonder if I can shut them down?How can I do this automatically so when my computer starts up it won't start these programs automatically?It would be very useful when flight simming.ThanksDaniel

I have to say that I didn't expect much from TrackIR - maybe some jerky head movement, hours of calibration or a stiff neck from turning my head, but TrackIR has brought my flight sim experience to a complete different level!The product worked right out of the box, is extremly easy to calibrate and works like a charm. I feel like I am actually sitting in the plane and the situational awareness is just unbeatable. It was always a nuisance to fish for the mouse or joystick to turn you head, look for traffic, find a switch, etc, and TrackIR eliminates all of those issues. I've been using approach plates recently in my sim flights and think they help immensely with landing. That is, until I use ATC in my flights. When I fly VFR and request landing clearance, I'm told to "fly right downwind to runway x" as an example. This indicates to me to forget about the approach plate and just get in the traffic pattern for landing. Then on IFR approaches, I just follow the vectors given by ATC, which again seems to make the approach plates secondary or unneccessary. So my question is, when do I really follow the approach plate since ATC vectors do not coincide with the published approach? Thanks for any replies.

Mesh files are generally quite large and commonly go into a folder like Scenery/World/Scenery.What impact does having too many of these have? Do they have any impact?Thanks for any advice Barry

While examining the KJFK and KLGA ILS's I noticed that FSNavigator states that the glideslope altitude is 1600. Does this indicate that during an ILS approach the glideslope for these airports should be intercepted below 1600 ft? My last question is how come when I look up these airports on WWW.AIRNAV.COM I do not see any kind of reference to 1600 ft? Is this number a specific value only relative to FS9 and/or FSNavigator and does not apply in the real world? Thank you.
