Hello i'm new to the forum but not new to FS2004 and have had it for a long time. The issue is that no matter what i do FS2004 will not start?....i have tried everything from the microsoft website and have even uninstalled and reinstalled. I dumped my computer last month and when i had FS2004 it ran awesome, i def have the memory. Basically the install is succesful but when i choose the run now option nothing happens at all, the CD4 spins and nothing happens? PLease help this is driving me insane.

Does anyone know where I can get the PMDG 737NG tutorial by Tim Metzinger(V2)? The Avsim review for the NG says the file is called "737ngadvtutorialv2.zip", but I get nothing when I search it in the Avsim file library. The only thing that comes up is the Navdata/Sids/Stars database file for the tutorial. Is this the correct file name?? Thanks. Tom

The reason I ask is I've seen the news item on the avsim front page for the GLX-OPv1 EFISai. It looks promising, but I've really never read any in depth discussions on their products here on the user forums.If it is a reputable company; I'll break my own rule and be one of the first to try it out. It is strange but since the release of the PMDG 747 I have been using this aircraft on low fuel low pax for short hops.Why is that strange other than the short hop bits :-)The PMDG reminds me so much of the Citation Bravo I was flying not very long ago.No FS business jet available gives me the sensation and character of being in the Citation Bravo.No FS business jet has the functionality.Okay of course all the numbers are way off on the 747 but imagine Primus 1000 as fitted to the Bravo and the sensation flying the 747 is very close to the real world Bravo in feel.I ask PMDG, Level D, Aeroworx PIC or anyone else who wants and is capable of building a business jet A la PMD…

Hello simmersI wanted today to check my next destination airport (UATG-Atyrau) by the command GoTo Airport (from a cold parking position), and, as soon as my airplane comes into view, it crashes or I get the message : "Too much pressure !".UATG is an unusual airport in the sense that its altitude is negative.Is that the reason for this bug ? I made some checks with AFCAD, and the runway altitude is -72 ft, but when I use a little program to correct the airport elevations (JABBgl) it shows an altitude of 4 294 945 m !? I corrected it to -21.9 m, but it did not solve my problem.How can I correct this ? Thanks for your ideas !Alain

Can anyone tell me what the differences are in the real world when flying single engine versus multi-engine planes? Looking at the Dreamfleet A36 and Baron 58 there is no real difference in the pilot work load between the two. I know in the real world you need separate ratings for the two so what is so more involved in managing the extra engine??? I have time in single engine aircraft but never dove into the multi-engine arena yet nor have I asked in any detail. Wouldn't it be cool if FS allows us to specify failures and the probabilies for each failure? Well LockOn has a list of, if I remember it corrently, around 15 failures. You can specify the chances of their happenings. If you want to turn them off, you specify 0%. I think this gives a more immersive experience.

Let me just say that the AVSIM library does a great job. I get the emailed new up-loads list everyday to review so I won't miss anything. When I down load from the library I do so in good faith. The Aeroworx B200 is a great airplane so I down-loaded a set of textures today for the new 2.1 version. These textures, which included the cfg entries, included a email address of the author. From now on when I download a file, I am going to send a brief confirmation letter to the author's address to introduce myself. What I am really doing is testing the email address to see if it's valid. I will not waste my time troubleshooting cfg entries only to find out that the author's ema…

Apparently Aerosim produced a Saab 340 for FS2002. I would dearly love to see this updated for FS9. Although we've just seen another FS8 model updated, it would be great to have one with a vc. Cheers,Todd

I've been practicing ILS landings at Sacremento. I dial in the correct frequency for approach on runway 160 but the plane always centers on 163. I'm wondering if there is a way to correct this problem, or if its just isolated to a few airports. Thanks.

Hello. I have been simming for about 6 months. I am fairly new. Although I have learned alot. I have read that textuer blurring is a common issue within the virtual skies of Microsoft Flight Simulator. I also have read that there are way to fix this, or atleast supress it. My computer specs are as follows. 3.2 gig,1 gig ram,Geforce 5600.if it is not to much trouble, I was wondering if you all would be so kind as to maybe give me some options wich will help me eliminate this problem. I had orginally seen the Level D767-300 at the Avsim convention, and as I posted on this forum, I was not really impressed with the graphics as displayed on the monitor and video projector that I had seen out there. My experience is that different planes are significantly harder or more easier to taxi. For example I find the Aeroworx Beech King B200 very difficult to taxi. Either it goes very fast or stops altogether.Its speed is very difficult to finetune. On the other hand a plane like the DF727 it's quite the opposite. Very easy to taxi and no problem in finetuning the taxispeed.My question, is this just like the real thing or should all planes be easy to taxi controlling speed? Or do I need different tweaks for different planes?I use CH Flightsim yoke an rudderpedals.

I recently purchased BEV and think it is a great product, but I do not think I am using it near its full potential. What other programs bring out the best in BEV? Ultimate Terrain? FE? FS Genesis? Megascenery? Are they compatible or not? DP

Hey guys...I wanted to increase the amount of AI traffic in FS9. Therefore I used Flight Sim Manager 2.8 to install many flight plans, but now I can't see any effect. I had to change the aircrafts listed in the aircraft.txt-files 'cause I did not have them installed. Maybe that's the reason? But actually it should work with replaced aircrafts, doesn't it? I installed all correctly, but can't see any effect. My AI-percentage is 100%, all is right, but the planes do not appear when playing FS. Maybe you could help me.Thanks, Danny.

What is the ForceFeedBack section for in Aircraft.cfg? Does it only concern forceback joystick users or it actually helps control aircraft behavior on the ground? I've read that having forcefeedback or groundbumps sometimes affect FS performance when aircraft is in contact with ground. I want to delete this section but I don't want to make undesired changes to my aircraft's ground behaviors by doing so.Some input is appreciated.Jason

Hello,Although I have a ton of add on scenery, I have avoided augmenting my terrain features in for a few reasons:1. I am concerned that a lot of my add on scenery will not display correctly once I install third party mesh.2. It doesn't seem like there is a one stop shopping solution for mesh, landclass and textures. I have the impression that I will have to download 50 separate files for every part of the world for 9.99 a pop and spend a weekend installing everything.I would like to change the entire globe if possible, but I will settle for the US at this time just to get my feet wet.So the question is, what is the easiest/best way for me to do this? Just wanted to thank Dreamfleet for the fantastic A36I purchased it on Friday night and have pretty much been flying it 24/7 since.Amazing....just amazing. I normally go for the heavy iron but this just 'feels' so good.I used to use the default lights for sightseeing, but I became increasingly fed up with the poor flight models. I spent most of my time trying to trim the #### things properly.
