Hi All,I started use the MRAI method with Excel to create and install flight plans.I seem to be at a brick wall with saving the Excel file into SDV format.I need to insert the semicolon between columns for the text file so that the Mrai compiler will work.I ain't going to do it manual!!I copy and paste flight schedules to Excel at present .Any Ideas,Atkin

How do you determine where you will fly? For me I will eitherA: Let's say I want to fly a Northwest A319, I will go to airliners.net and look at the Northwest A319 photos. On some of the photos there the photographer says where the plane came from or where it is going.B: I will go to the airlines web site and look at the route map and pick two places from the map.C: If Im flying something small (like a biz jet or smaller) I'll just pick a place where I feel like flying to that day.On Wednesday I was looking at the FedEx MD-11 photos on airliners.net. Hello, I have a problem with FS that has started today, On starting FS I get the the startup screen where you can select a flight. when I select a flight and say "fly now" the sim crashes on installing textures on 0% after about 5 seconds with the usual error message from FS only saying unknown module error,I thought it was Active Sky enhanced, I have removed the program but it is still the same.I have also deactivated all addon sceneries but the default sceneries plus the addon scenery folder and still the same problem happens, as soon as I click on "FLY NOW" and I get the message "Loading scenery" it stays on 0% anf after about 15 seconds I get the error message, the er…

After investing in a nice simming computer I thought it would be fun to try out some of the rl flight school flight simulators and much to my suprise I found them more more difficult to "fly" on the computer than our beloved FS2004. Take ASA's ON TOP/IP TRainer/Elite. With the 172, holding a 20 degree bank while trying to maintain a lvl altitude is something you must work at while in FS, say flying the Flight 1 172, it is very easy, you wont even feel the need to "trim" to perform this yet on the RL trainers if you do not add power and trim you will notice very quickly that it will not maintain altitude. This is only one example since every flight aspect "feels" different…

Finally being frustrated with constant pauses when using complex a/c and realtime weather, I finally upgraded to 1 gigabyte of RAM. I can see from the task manager that now I have plenty of RAM and essentially the paging file is not used.HOWEVER -- I am still suffering short pauses where the sim stops completely for a split second, especially as I am on final to land at a complex airport. It almost seems to me like the terrain settings that I have are not allowing the airport textures to come into view early enough and the sim has to retrieve them from the hardrive when I am too close to the airport, thus interfering with a smooth landing.Currently in my FS9.cfg file I ha…

I was wondering if anyone can point me to a tutorial on altering the AI in the UK.Basically I would like to wipe out all the default MS rubbish and slowly add airline schedules like Easy Jet, FlyBe, british airways.I've seen downloads in the library for AI flight plans, but haven't found an explaination on how to install them and get them flying the correct planes and liveries etc.I'm not that much concerned about performance, so can I use things like the PMDG 737 etc for Easy Jet AI flights.There must be a tutorial somewhere.Thanks.Paul

Hi I recently had to abort a manual landing into Menorca as i just couldn't get my 737 to line up with the center of the runway as it "seemed" to just be sheering off course. It wasn't until i has another attempt that i realised that my view out of the 2d cockpit had become slightly scewed (this is possible using joystick's tophat) and i just wasn't looking dead ahead!!!My question is this - is there a key combination or setting that will automatically reset the foward 2d cockpit view to dead ahead ?Many thanksGary

I just started getting this white water texture whenever I am in the 2D cockpit and the textures redraw. If I switch to either the VC or spot view and then go back to the 2D cockpit, the water looks fine until the next redraw.I have my fps locked at 26. Anyone have any idea what causes this?Thanks a lot,Howard

Hi there, I have noticed that with most of my add-on aircraft when I taxi on the ground, if I turn left and then press numpad 5 to center the rudder the nose wheel straightens as it should but when I turn right and press numpad 5 to center the nose wheel is still a tiny bit to the right and not properly straight.Does anyone know how to solve this little bug?Look forward to repliesgavi25

Just installed thos add-on from Abacus. I know they have a spottyrecord with the quality and consistency of their work, but I tooka shot.Very pretty graphics models, but very poor cockpit documentation.The F-16 tends to lock up the sim. The F-14 cannot fully extend the wings unless the flaps are fully extended, so take-off is bizarre.Several models lack the cockpit buttons to show GPS, throttle quadrant, etc.Doe anyone have an opinion regarding this add-on? Anybody knowwhere these cockpit buttons reside? Kinda steep and Im not familiar with the makers but Ive been waiting for a better blackbird so I took a chance. Ive only got a few flights in but have had time to get a good look at her and ring it out a little.Exterior- Looks as good if not better than the other blackbird out there. Being all black details are hard to see but overall it looks good. Nice AB effects and the best parachute deployment animation Ive seen.Cockpit- At first I was dissapointed with the 2d. A little to comic book looking for my taste but its loaded. Just about anything you need to know is there with plenty of clickables and lots of color.
