I do apologize for the mistake. It is now fixed and edited. I was thinking about submitting this officially to AOPA. But you are right. As single people there is not a lot of anything we can do. The only thing that can be done but each and everyone is to support and educate on the matter at handThanks

Hey gang,Does anyone know if there's a way to tell if a certain ERJ flight is operated by a regular 145 or an XR? I would assume probably not, but I thought I'd float the question here. Does anyone know where they use the XRs? I've seen a picture of one in Knoxville...which doesn't make much sense to me if the XR is a longer-range variant. Then again, I may have missed the boat (er, plane) altogether on what the XR is.Thanks in advance,

Has anyone ever been to Wainwright AAF (PAFB)? Can you tell me what's currently there in terms of aircraft types and concentrations?I found some info stating that there was an F111 sqaudron there, but no more. I would assume that since it's an Army base there should be some transports like C-17s and C-130s there. For some reason I latched onto it in Fs2K and still like to fly in and out of it as I'm exploring Alaska. I'd like to add some AI controlled aircraft to it but I'm not sure what types of aircraft to use.

When giving support to people that have problems with installing my freeware gauges in their panel, it frequently occurs that the source of their problems is caused by them using the word "guage" instead of "gauge".You also see this mistake in the forums regularly. And the funny thing is: it practically always concerns people who's native language is English :-)Is this just a typing error, or does the word "guage" have a meaning too ??Just curious :-)Rob

I have a question. I am the system administrator at work. I was wondering if anyone knew of a program that will allow tracking of documents. By that I mean I have a shared folder that all at work have access. I would like to put say a Safety Report up, but I would like a way to be able to tell whether or not John Doe has read it.Is there such a program? Any info would be very helpfull.Thanks,:-outtahttp://www.flightsimnetwork.com/dcforum/Us...43942b48d2b.jpg

Anyone know what could be causing that? I cant turn it down... one of the speakers controls the volume, but at the time, its not working... the subwoofer seems to be stuck at full volume or at least close to it... because when I turn up the speaker volume, the subwoofer's volume increases a little bit. Any ideas?

Bizzarre. What happens to the planes that don't seem to be able to take off? Were the owners not told? Is that legal? I guess it is, otherwise they wouldn't have ploughed it all up... but why did they do it... cos of opposition?

Hello gentlemen, I'm currently seeking pilots that have flown the Nomad N22 or N24, for flight testing on our new project. If you have seat time in the Nomad or even a DHC Twotter, or if you consider yourself a FSxpert on how it should be done. I would like you to contact me. If you have the ability to tweak air files this is always a plus. We are only a week into this project, so test flights can be flown at your leisure. This package will be quite comprehensive, including the N22, N24, the Floatmaster, and the Searchmaster...no plans yet on the Toastmaster. :-) We have contacted the Nomad sales facility and are excited for their cooperation, to supply us with quality in…

Does anyone know if there is a decent observation deck at O'Hare? London Heathrow has a decent one, but ATL, for example, does not have any. I am not sure which airports have them and which don't or what the tred is. I will be flying through Chicago soon and would like to spend a few extra hours at O'Hare and hope there's a decent place to watch planes. Thanks,Robb

Ok, I'm gearing up to start flying lessons in the near future. I really need a site, or a list of info for the medical requirements, specifically eyesight stuff. I have an astigmatism and such, so details eye info is valuable so that when I ask my eye doctor he can let me know if I will be wasting my money learnign to fly....Thanks,Jason

Just got back from a business trip to the UK where I spotted a really odd creation parked outside a Virgin hanger at Heathrow. Didn't have my camera, so no pics :-( ... but it looked like a DC-10 with a double-decker bulge on the front end of the fuselage (kinda like the "Guppy"). It was painted a hideous green .. which could have been primer.Anyone have any idea as to the identity of this oddball??

Hello all,I thought someone here may be able to help me. I have a friend who is interested in learning to fly. I have heard of programs which give you a cheap introductory flight to spark your interest. My question is does anyone know of any site near Manassas or Woodbridge VA where one could find such a program? If not do you know where I might look to find out myself? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

This is a challenge to everyone here. Period. As many of you know, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA) works diligently to promote general aviation and, more recently, to combat the onslaught of political knee-jerk reactions that are becoming so prevalent in today's hypersensitive climate. Many here have personally experienced the difficulties associated with new flight restrictions over New York, Chicago, Presidential retreats locations, and even Disney World. Although some of these restrictions have good intent, they are often over-reaching and/or ineffective. That is when AOPA steps in. Not only does AOPA battle companies like TIME magazine which recently…

Kass is the successor to Mike Royko in the Chicago Tribune. He has a solid reputation as a writer and political analyst, mixed with a wry wit. Here is his piece today on Daley's powergrab Pearl Harbor attack on Meigs. You can also find it online at http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/columni...hi%2Dnews%2DcolShermDaley's abuse of power leaves marks on cityJohn Kass April 2, 2003I've been trying to figure out Chicago's outrage over what Mayor Richard Daley did to Meigs Field, after he sent bulldozers at night to ruin the nice little lakefront airport. And I started out to joke about how the savaging of a tiny airport upset so many. But then I realized that Mayor Little Big M…

Well -I think most people knew about this farce and his "safety concerns"over closing Meigs. ====================================================================On Tuesday, the mayor changed his tune. Daley dropped all pretenses about fears of a private plane flying into a Chicago skyscraper and acknowledged his real motive was to create more open space as envisioned by planner Daniel Burnham and others some 100 years ago.====================================================================Check out this latest update from the Chicago Sun Timeshttp://www.suntimes.com/output/news/cst-nws-meigs09.htmlDaley's Meigs alibi crumblesApril 9, 2003BY LYNN SWEET AND FRAN SPIELMAN SU…
