Hi,I recently managed to get my hands on pretty much all of the current official documentation and manuals for the 777 and the A340, in PDF format. I was wondering how common these manuals are, and if I could make people happy by making them available.

Dear Friends and Pilots.I have a problem with the most of the Project Opensky models. It seems that the strobe lights while taxing are not actually on the wing tips but they are flashing much higher then the wings tips?Once the aircraft is in the air the strobe lights seem to be exactly on the wing tips. Can anyone help me solve this problem?Thank you very much. The Ghost Walker.

I've been having a discussion with people at www.fs2004.com forums about this video. There seems to be disagreement as to whether it's real or not.The video is actually a commercial by Heineken about the German and Dutch team. The Dutch team played Germany that week or something and the commercial goes on to say that the Dutch team was in there...obviously it wasn't.Given that this is a commercial I still think this video clip is real and has no real special affects or CGI.I would like all of your expert opinions on this. I still think the Airbus is capbably of pulling this stunt and withstanding it. Others think the Fly-By-Wire wouldn't allow this and other things.Well e…

I started thinking about this... don't El Al's flights to Asia involve flying through hostile airspace? Have the Persian Gulf states granted overfly rights to Israeli airlines?

I just had my first experience with being censored on a payware support forum...LOL...wasn't even asking for help or being critical of a product (actually I was praising a product of theirs, but being critical of a particular biz decision). It seems that if you're not _completely_ kissing their butt, don't bother posting...heh, hehLike the sig says...

The National Air and Spaces new annex at Dulles International Airport (KIAD) which is just south of Washington DC, will be opening this Monday. The main complex, on the National Mall in downtown DC, held only 10% of the NAS collection, this new annex will put ALL of them on display for the first time. The hangar is next to the main runways, and includes a 164 foot high observation tower!!!! What a great thing for us spotters! There will be 335 aircraft on display, including the B-29 Enola Gay, the hangar is one of the largest, it is 986 feet long, 103 feet high, and has its own IMAX theater. Other famous aircraft will be a 1916 Caudron G.4 and F4U Corsair, to the Apollo C…

In FS9, I like to start trips from Schiphol airport(eham), Amsterdam, since I live in Amsterdam. I land there too, and all that in GA aircraft like the Baron, Lancair Legacy, etc. Schiphol is a large international airport, so I was wondering is this is realistic. Would they, under normal circumstances, let me mix in with the big guys with my slow and small private aircraft , or would the say "sorry, too busy, too dangerous, too slow, go to a local airport "? Does a real pilot have the answer to this? Gerwin

On the first day, God created the cow and God said, "You must go to the field with the farmer all day long and suffer under the sun, have calves and give milk to support the farmer. I will give you a life span of sixty years." The cow said, "That's a kind of a tough life you want me to live for sixty years. Let me have twenty years and I'll give back the other forty."And God agreed. On the second day, God created the dog. God said, "Sit all day by the door of your house and bark at anyone who comes in or walks passed. I will give you a life span of twenty years." The dog said, "That's too long to be barking. Give me ten years and I'll give back the other ten."So God agr…

article on flight in Dec. issue; regarding nearly automatic flight in airliners, says "crew of new airliners is a pilot and a dog - pilot's job is to feed the dog, dog's job is to bite the pilot if he touches anything".Sorry if this has already been posted, but haven't had time to peruse the menu fully.

The latest I've heard is that LAX is the probable base for Branson's Virgin-USA (assuming he gets the authority to do so). Where in the terminal structure at LAX would you place a new airline? Every one of the 9 or so terminals always looks fully utilized to me. Any ideas? Thanks,Bruce.

I've just done a trip YSSY to KLAX on a UA B744, and am wondering what the comparible trip time would be in a B777. The B744 took about 13 hours. How much lower is the cruise speed of the B777? I expect that ETOPS rules also play a part in the longer trip time for the B777, any information on route length for ETOPS vs non-ETOPS for this trip would also be appreciated.Thanks,Bruce.

Got my CD with my Computer Pilot magazine. Geez I love that rag. Anyways, has anybody else noticed that the glue used to stick the CD to the mag takes off the nice glossy finish?Kind of a bummer when you consider them a collectors item.
