Let me introduce myself first. I'm a high school junior and I live in NYC. I've had my eye on becoming an airline pilot for quite some time now, and I am determined to do this. I absolutely can't get flying off my mind. While all my friends can't wait to get their driver's licenses, I can't wait to become a pilot. Problem is, I'm stuck between two choices:a) A college that offers the Professional Pilot degree, of which there are not too many. :( Flight school. The basic difference is that in the college degree, you have a couple of extra courses in addition to flight training. This also means you have to pay for college tuition PLUS flight school training. I've asked some …

Just search for any keywords that you come up wih and you're bound to find some very entertaining results.I simply searched for "boeing" and I came up with 305 results, and here are some rather interesting vids from the first page of results:1- PMDG 737-800 with a twist:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mNUS2rKifq8&search=boeing2- Amazing Korean Airlines 747-400 landing at Kai Tak. A lot of you must have seen this, but for those of you who haven't, then this video just goes to show you that a 747 is quite a nimble heavy jet:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H0y1oPcBBMo&search=boeing3- KLM 747-400 landing at St. Maart…

Is anyone else having problems contacting Lionheart Creations about downloading their new Bellanca Super Viking? I have previously purchased their products and was using the discount link. I have tried on three separate occasions to purchase it with no success. E-mails to their home site have also generated no response. I REALLY would like to get that aircraft as I have been extremely satisifed with their other aircraft that I have purchased.Old Saltusn8ret

At my local airport ..Thursday...A FIGHTER jet guided a civilian aircraft to safety when the plane got into difficulty over Glasgow, the RAF said yesterday. The aircraft, a Beechcraft Super King carrying a pilot and two passengers, lost all its electronic instrument systems apart from the altimeter as it approached Glasgow Airport on Tuesday morning. The Tornado F3 crew were on a routine training mission in the Lake District when they were called to help. The jet guided the troubled craft first to Prestwick then Edinburgh airports, but thick cloud caused two aborted attempts at landing. The plane landed safely more than an hour later at RAF Leuchars in Fife. Flight Lieute…

Hi,I have just finished the 2006 version of the Firefly.Features include independently rotating engine nacelles, fully functional shuttles and Firefly drive system. In addition to the Firefly and shuttles you get 8 different cargo carriers that you can haul around the "verse". Of course you also need something that can move the cargo around so I threw in the "Mule" featured in the movie. All in all you get twelve fully functional Orbiter ships to play around with. Notes: This is a stand alone package and you do not need any other Firefly add-ons. Orbiter 2006 is requiredSound requires the Orbiter Sound add-on. If you installed the pre 2006 version you will need to delete …

I'm still working towards my Sport Pilot license in fits 'n spurts (it's summer here and too uncomfortable to fly most weekends), and have also started to look at aircraft in this class that have come up for sale. Many don't have a gross weight that would allow two 200 lb pilots onboard with any fuel, let alone full fuel. Most responses I receive when I inquire on these ads (and I mean most) suggest that it's OK to fly over gross. My question--is it really? Wouldn't an examiner nail you on the practical if you tried to show him your stuff in an aircraft that's over gross? Not to mention that stress calculations are made with gross in mind (meaning an aircraft above gro…
