Not sure if this is the place to launch the question ...I recently switched from McAfee to Norton for various reasons and although I never had problems in FS9 with McAfee still running in the background, I now have regular stuttering with Norton. Some people will argue to turn you virus scanner and privacy protector off when in FS9 but how do you run ActiveSky if you are not on the Internet and how do you protect yourself if your Security system is not active ...?Which Security system will give you the firewall and spyware protection without making FS9 going slideshow?RegardsTerblanche

A personal note of apology to Larry for a posting that I appeared to make to Larry in the now closed Flight 93 thread. My comment, #40, was not directed to Larry, but to the poster whose comments I now don't seem to be able to find. My comment to him/her was rather rhetorical, "...er and you point is", and appropriate what I was replying to as they were rather inflammatory. Again, that unknown posters comments now seem no where to be found, and a good thing based upon it

G'Day!Here is a video of my first solo nav...http://3dflite.com/dac/vid/FLYINGTHEWARRIOR.wmv Keep an eye on the weather as it deteriorates the closer I get to my destination. 8. Seeing that I live literally around the corner from CYOO I will be there. I was last year, and thoroughly enjoyed, albeit I suffered a sunburn to remember. It was worth it to sit in a brand new SR-22, and get to tinker! Is anyone here going to be there this June? If you are perhaps us flightsimmers could meetup for a Mr Frosty over by the west hanger!! :-hah

Jason[br /]General Aviation Fan[br]P4 3.2Ghz, 1GB Ram, FX5900 128MB, XP SP2.[br /][br /]

Just from what I've read it's clear that the US military is looking to replace the C130's in the 2012-2014 timeframe. Who knows if they are seriously looking at the A400M (it won't fly until 2008)but there are also other concerns. Even if the US military stays with the C130, or another LockMartin variant, much of the rest of world has already agreed to shift to the A400M. That alone is going to have a major impact on the Marietta facility and puts into question the viability of the C130 program just based on the decrease in production numbers and the corresponding increase in the cost per unit. I'm up here in Alpharetta and I'm pulling for LockMartin also, but right now I…

I need to do a speech for English exam, and I chose aeroplanes.I need to find out the following:1) What is the presurre inside the tyres of a Boeing 747? How strong would an explosion be? (i.e., is a tyre exlposion as powerful as a car bomb? or what.)2) How many parts make up a plane?3) How thick are tyres?4) What different types of materials are used to make the body of the plane?5) What historic planes are there? (I know the Concord, first supersonic aircraft; DeHavilland Comet, first jet aircraft and kept on crashing due to (I am not sure can someone tell me?); Boeing 747, why?)6) Parts of a plane7) Interesting facts that sound cool. Hello captains,I have 2 questions regarding NATS.1. Concerning the NAT message quoted below, westbound track G. Track G starts at 38N040W. This lies in the middle of the ocean, there is no direct connection to it (check http://www.jetplan.com/tda/west.html , you can see it almost on the bottom-center of the picture). Suppose I'm taking off at Heathrow and I want to fly to the carribean using track G. How would I plan the EGLL-38N040W? Or to put it in another way, how can I get to 38N040W in a "correct" way?2. Sometimes you find an incomplete message when going to the DINS NOTAM system to fetch the current NATS. Today's westbound tracks are a good example:===302018 EGGXZOZ…

Just wondering if any simmers are going to see 'United 93'... I personally have no interest in this movie as 9/11 was a hard enough time to live through. I don't want to put myself through feeling what I felt that day and watching helplessly as so many perished. Unlike a movie about Pearl Harbor, this movie almost seems in bad taste (and I stress almost)... In the long run I feel this movie would help future generations remember and not forget this tragic event in US history. For those of us who lived through this sad day, it's not something compelling to keep revisiting. I can only imagine how people must have felt when Pearl Harbor got hit but 9/11 was far more sini…
