I tried going to Sim-Outhouse, but a window came up saying "Authentication Requested" and a space to enter my username and password. Seems phishy... never happened before, admins never said they were changing things so you would have to log in to access; so seems like someone is phishing...Robert Alley

I could not belive my eyes when I read this post on simflight.com and this on the site itself.A business begging for donations due to "deteriorating world-wide economic conditions" and "legal expenses for the custody action " is this a joke? I know times are tough, my work is no different but if we begged our customers for a donation they would most likely laugh and never deal with us again.Unreal!!!!

Hi, I was given the copy of the charts as used by ACA864 YUL-LHR, i fully understand that NAT's are always changing as is the weather. But the charts caught my eye, they showed the NAT being used (which was Uniform) but also showed the weather and Track lines, also with the ETOPS range rings. They also had plotted out the full flight plan on these charts. I can get some of the charts from Jeppesen and Nav Canada, but i can't seem to find anywhere or place that will show my route on charts or maps that i can print out, to have handy when do any flight. Is there such a place?Kind regardsJamesQC / Canada P.S, please excuse my English!

In the temporary forums JohnCi wrote this:"I flew to California for the weekend, just returned home a few hours' ago. I was pretty impressed with the ROC on the 737-700. We held over 2000 fpm all the way up to our cruise altitude of FL330 with a full pax load. I'd never paid much attention before but today was one of those short flights where we spent more time in climb and descent vs. cruise.I am curious whether there's any real world '700 drivers among us and how the ROC ranks among commercial jets. Seems like a lot of wing for a smaller commercial jet.Regards,John"I too have found the real 737-700 to be an aggressive bird especially when operating out of KMDW. The PMD…

I just watched a demo of Natal on Youtube. Do you think MS might be thinking about using this technology for Flightsim on the X-Box ? It could revolutionize the pilot input with real movements and no hardware required.Mark.

As much as I enjoy flight, I have also enjoyed sailing since I was a young boy. I was inspired by the likes of Robin Lee Graham (who sailed the Dove around the world), Robert Manry (who sailed the tiny Tinkerbelle across the Atlantic) and others. Some months ago I became familiar with a program popular among sailing enthusiasts called Virtual Skipper. They have a few products in release, but one of them is on a subscription based model so I opted (after enjoying one of their demos) to purchase an earlier (but still excellent) product called Virtual Skipper 4.I have purchased many software titles online and I feel blessed--I never once had a problem with support or gett…

Just curious, has anyone else been following this? It's finally a standalone, built from the ground up WWI flight simulator. Though the activation of the product may turn out to be a ... I'm excited!

If I donated to AVSIM via the Paypal button, how can I be sure that the funds actually are given to AVSIM ? There won't be any feedback from AVSIM I assume ? At least when one buys something using Paypal then you know the money has arrived when the retailer ships the goods. I just want to avoid any chance of the transaction going to write-only memory :-) or even somewhere else instead.Cheers,Siggy

The French Constitutional Council has "ripped the heart out of a law that was supposed to put France in the forefront of the fight against piracy on the internet".http://technology.timesonline.co.uk/tol/ne...icle6478542.eceIt appears to have ruled that: access to the internet is a fundamental human right the law breached privacy by enabling a government agency to track internet activity. the law beached the separation of powers because if gave an administrative authority power to impose justice the law violated the presumption of innocence because alleged pirates would be cut off without being able to defend themselves Apparently the law has been put into f…
