Does anyone know if the FAA rule requiring B757's to be referenced as Heavy (Due to wake turbulence) been changed? Reading the rule it does appear the exception for the B757 is no longer there, although the separation requirements for wake turbulence haven't changed. I listened to a LIVE ATC recording of one, and they also didn't refer to it as a heavy.ThanksTom

What first manifested itself as a failure of the FlightSim Store wrapper to connect and validate my REX purchase has led to the discovery that the entire store site seems D.O.A. http://www.flightsimstore.com Does anyone know when this may have started, or most importantly - when they will get this fixed? -Greg+------------------------------------------------------+ Editing to add... I've been in touch with Tim over at REX and he's made the store folks aware of the issue. Hopefully it gets squared away shortly... +------------------------------------------------------+

  6. Hi all,I know this is a rather unusual topic, but since I unusually have no solution to such a seemingly simple problem, I thought I would ask the FS community for a hand. I am a brand new rookie repaint add-on developer, and I have a repaint, my very first, which is literally siting on my hard drive waiting to be uploaded. One problem is, with my perfectionism, I simply had to create a 'brand' with it, mostly to assure people of the quality of the product. Along with an .rtf 'EULA' type file, I wanted to create a pdf 'Info-manual' with it, basically to provide people with information on this new free add-on one man team developer group. Unfortunately I do not have the res…

Hello everyone. I'm trying to find a set of approach charts (within a year) for MHTG Tegucigalpa Toncontin airport. Can anyone provide a link or post some pictures? They will be used to fly in FS9. I tried using the link for the approach chart used in Edetroit's post in the screenshot forum, but it wasn't working. Thanks for any replies.

and with music, too. For those who cannot quite see the accomplishment in this video clip, let me explain to you that this is the result of a programming contest where people strive to achieve the audio-visually most stunning code within a storage limit of 4 kilobytes (code and data combined)Most modern games require 4 million times that size of storage, e.g. 4 GB on one DVD. Your flight simulator even takes 15GB of HD space after installation. Or about 3-4 million times the size of this little program. How was this achieved?a) Data compression. Lots of data compression.b) Procedural generation of content. In fact the demo code does not store any textures at all, it uses…

Attention Detroit Area SimmersThe bi-ennial Selfridge ANGB Airshow is the weekend of August 22 and 23. The headliners this year are the USAF Thunderbirds. More info on the show is available here: https://www.selfridgeairshow.org/If you're interested in meeting fellow simmers during this event, meet up near the starboard wing of the B52 around 1 PM Saturday. That aircraft should be on the static display ramp. If the B52 doesn't show (sometimes they will cancel last minute), meet at the west end of the static display ramp where it connects to the taxiway.I'll be in town on vacation visiting the wife's relatives. And I will be attending Saturday's airshow. Hope to see some o…

A short while ago I managed to hook up my Playstation 3 Controller to my laptop and get it running in FS9. I'd recommend it if you're going for the portable option, but my god - it takes a while to set up!!!Rudder is a little awkward, and twitchy at first.Sorry about the dodgy camera angle. I had it propped under my chin so you could see both hands!!! It gradually tilts further down until you can barely see the screen at all!

I propose that members each tell you at least one interesting thing about the subject. For example ...The Wright Brothers invented the wind tunnel and were in fact the first aeronautical engineers.

Okay, it's just for the Microsoft ESP side of things, but at least there is still a bit of life left at MS in development (or shall i say "support?") for ESP. Perhaps this is simply because the type of customers ESP are versus us FS'rs..http://beatlesblog.spaces.live.com/blog/cn...5!294.entryWonder if and when this flame will be extengished? Or perhaps once again we may see FS development?P.S> the topic title is screwed up I meant FS !!

After people raving about it.The only problem is I was not shown the product like I wanted to see instead I was almost dressed down by their comment on software theft which I don't do. I know it must be a problem it just seems that somebody that would take the time to follow a link like I did is not their problem just my 2 cents FSAaddon it really turned me off. It may cost you sales.

Why is items being posted as new on the headlines page that are in fact old news? For example Yesterday it was the Abacus 787, which of course has been around for at least a year. Today there is an item for Active Sky Advanced SP1 being released, when in fact it was released almost a month ago. I do believe AVSIM covered it then. It just makes things a little confusing, I almost tried to install ASA SP1 based on the story, before I realized it was the same thing I installed last month.

Hello all, Has anyone bought a product from MegasceneryX? Specifically, does anyone have the Dallas/Fort Worth package from them? I'm trying to buy their product but I wanted to first post some questions in their forum. About 2 weeks ago, I tried to sign up for a forum account but it was never activated. So, I went ahead and signed up using another email address and it still did not go through. I then emailed the board admin and I still have had no luck in getting my account registered. I then contacted the company's tech support asking how I can sign up for the forum....and I have yet to hear back from them. ALL I WANT TO DO IS ASK SOME QUESTIONS ABOUT THE PRODUCT BEFORE…
