I just downloaded the Wilco CRJ package containing the CRJ 200/700/900 on 7/22/09. There are a few problems that I cant get worked out and hope someone can help. I was hoping a good manual was present but I guess there is very little documentation in the download. First, I noticed that I dont get an overspeed warning. Second, no TCAS or radar. The radio panel shows TCAS in white letters but I can't make it active. Also I see a message on the MFD that the radar is off. Is there a way to turn that on also? On the overhead panel for APU start, The PWR/Fuel button apparently has no use. I press it and it shuts down the APU if its running, but I dont see any light ind…

Me and my friend James are sitting here playing with his newly received bbj (not counting time waiting for his key) and are wondering if there is a way to shorten the time needed to align the irs. Anyone familiar with this bird, let alone this procedure?I figured this question could go to many forums so decided to pick the one with more traffic!

Where do the united express a/c operate from at KLAX? I'm making my own afcad for the cloud9 scenery- AALX and eagle flight have their own mini-terminal, but I can't find where exactly united express flights operate out of. Wikipedia says terminals 7 and 8- does that mean they use the jetbridge gates along with the big boys or do they have their own place?thanks

Hey there,I was just wondering how much fuel a 738 would put thru its engines on takeoff, in terms of a kg/h FF number (or lbs, just as you like lol). Can't find any source on Google and also no pic showing the EICAS on T/O on a.net, so I thought maybe someone has reliable info. If you do, please add if it's R-TO or not. Would appreciate it.Thanks!

NT (Northern Territory) NewsNT black box inventor dies July 22nd, 2010 THE TERRITORY-born inventor of the black box flight recorder has died. David Warren died, aged 85, at a Melbourne nursing home on Monday. He was involved in investigating the crash in 1953 of the world's first commercial jet airliner, the Comet, as it was en route to Australia. The challenge of determining the causes of the accident led him to the idea of a recording device that could withstand a crash where there were no survivors and no witnesses.Dr Warren was born in 1925 at a mission station on remote Groote Eylandt in far northern Australia. He was the first European child born on the island in th…

I heard about this on the news over the weekend and looked in to it because we go to Mexico a few times a year. http://www.npr.org/blogs/thetwo-way/2010/0...exican-aviationThe article says that the FAA does not publish the reasoning for the downgrades. I found a list of countries that fell in to the same category. Some countries make sense but I noticed Israel was on the list. Can anyone speculate as to why Mexico was downgraded and why Israel would be on this list?

Some days, I still have "the Luck..."Having made the decision to go to KOSH this year, I've been getting ready for the long drive.I went to the store for cigarettes, and just as I was pulling in the parking lot the lower ball joint on the right front sheared off... :(Thankfully I only live two blocks from the garage I normally use. The ironic thing is that I had planned to drop it off today anyway for a tune-up......had I not decided to go for cigarettes, I would have just gotten a tune up and had the ball joint break while on the road to Oshkosh! Yikes! Now whether I get to go depends of whether the garage can get my car fixed in time, and I still have any money left!

Hi all,Well... I have some ideas about how, if totally on my own and without a GPS (but with VORs available) I'd plan this short night route:N14 > 39NHowever... I don't have much experience yet - so my assumptions may be wrong. In the daytime it's easy to use ground references... at night, probably not so much. I haven't done this route at night... so I don't know! How would YOU do it?'Disclaimer: Yeah, I know. I will not take any of your input as recommendations or advice of any kind :) I promise. Oh... right... this question is hypothetical anyway. thxAndrew

I have always been in love with the Beechcraft Bonanza and notice a history of alot of crashes. Seems like when you do a internet search of GA crashes, Bonanza's pop up all the time. From Buddy Holly to Steve Wozinak to Randy Rhoads, seems to be alot of crashes. Is it because its a high performance plane that rich new pilots buy or is it something else. Curious to hear from some Bonanza Pilots about this.

Hello !I would like to buy a joystick or yoke + rudder system but I'm unable to find specifications for these peripherals. I went to several manufacturers websites (CH Products, Saitek, Logitech), I have read many reviews, checked the "specifications" on several online shops, but it looks like people only care about the packaging of their peripherals, not about what's inside.I mean, when I buy a mouse, I'm able to get specifications and information about the technology inside: I know if it's a mechanical mouse with a ball and light sensors, if it's an optical mouse with a diode or a laser. I know the resolution of the mouse (often in dpi), and for a gamer mouse, I even ca…

Stumbled upon this little-known site:http://www.fskneeboard.com/Looks like a very, very useful tool rather than having to have several other PDF or internet browser windows open (...or saving from having to print everything off). Certainly on my list of apps to buy.
