Can anyone tell me where I can buy colour prints of a/c gauges. I am building my own cockpit and have so far purchased the multi saitek panel, and the radio panel, but cant afford to buy the six main fundemental gauges, alt, vsi, turn co-ordinator etc so would like to obtain/buy a glossy printout of these gauges to fill my home built cockpit up till Im able to save for the saitek gauges. I dont have a colour printer as this woulkd be the simpler option.

Hello Captains...I have a question regarding the 737-800's battery...specifically Delta's.I'm setting up the NGX, and I'm wondering if the majority of Delta's 737-800s have dual or single battery packages.I thought the dual battery package was implemented on aircraft fitted with an ISFD. At this current time, only 2 Delta 737s have an ISFD. That'd suggest the majority have a single battery package installed. However Ryan Schmidt of Delta VA seems to have a different opinion.http://www.deltava.org/thread.do?id=0x192b3So what do you guys think?

Hi everyone,My old Cyborg Evo is getting on for 9 years old now, and as such is getting pretty squeaky, so I thought I'd try and find a HOTAS Cougar on eBay (there's one on right now actually), however, I'm running Windows 7 Pro 64 and was wondering about compatibility since the stick is quite old now. Anyway, I've Googled it and found mixed statements, so just wanted so see what the general consensus is around here. Thanks,Charlie

Please dont flame, and don't read if you don't like stories of success and failure. :) But I put this to digital ink recently (just now) and felt I wanted to share. It's got enough aviation in it to belong here. :) So, I hope you enjoy.Link to my blog post, personal page:http://wp.me/p1ubSy-c8

I'm 19 and currently doing the last year of my A-Levels, I've taken Biology, Chemistry and Computing, and it looks like I will end up with 3 B's overall.I was wondering if it's possible to be trained by an airline straight out of school, or if it would be better to go to university first before looking to become a pilot? I was planning on studying Medicinal Chemistry which is completely unrelated to aviation, would that be a problem?I'm also short-sighted and have a red-green colour deficiency, how will that effect my chances of becoming a pilot? Before applying to an airline, would I need a PPL?Thank You,-Sam :)

While perusing Google results for helicopters one evening, I stumbled on this company's website, RotorWay International. For a very respectable price, around the range of 98k, you can have yourself a fun DIY project and a pretty sweet two seater helicopter to fly around in your free time.http://www.rotorway.com/index.phpSome specs I pulled from the site:http://www.rotorway.com/talon.htmlWould you consider the homebuilt route if not for a helicopter, then with another aircraft? Why?If I had the money and the time, I definitely think I'd go down the homebuilt route for at least one of my aircraft. Whether or not a homebuilt would be my first purchased aircraft is entirel…

WW1 Top Gun: Revealed was a show broadcast by the UK's Channel 5 on Tuesday last, so I expect many here won't have seen it, being from outside the UK. It was basically about the competitive development of aircraft during WW1 between Britain & Germany, and was fascinating for anyone interested in vintage planes. Sadly it isn't available as an online re-run (rights issues, I'd guess). The best thing about it though, was the appearance and flight of planes built and/or renovated by the New Zealand company called The Vintage Aviator, of whom I'd never heard before this...http://thevintageaviator.co.nz/They build reproductions from scratch, using genuine parts if obtainab…

Hello,For those who would like to be on the AVSIM Teamspeak Management team, let's meet on Teamspeak at 12:00 Noon Eastern Standard Time (New York) on Saturday, March 24th in the AVSIM Hangar Chat Room. Please bring any ideas you may have as to how we can make this exciting new venue useful to our membership. If you can't make it, please send me a PM with your ideas and I will put them forward for you.One of the things we would like to accomplish is a timeline for deciding what to do and implementing whatever we come up with. One of the options we will discuss will be whether or not we can schedule and staff AVSIM flying events where we can fly online together in multipla…

So listen, I'm really not in the mood to get flamed over this. So if you want to breath fire, please go waste your energy in the FLIGHT forums or something.Anyways, I'm 18 and I've been dating my girlfriend for just over a year now. I don't want to sound confident - nor can I look into the future - but in the next upcoming years (if all goes to plan) I would really like to marry her...This poses a problem, as she just turned 18 this past week and now has a criminal record. Long story short, her friend pressured her into popping something into her purse and walk out of a Walmart with it. Airports are not the only places with those "criminal detectors" that seem to go off w…

Saw Virgin's midday flight to Orlando just now, it goes straight over my house, climbing out from Gatwick, you can see where it is right now! http://uk.flightaware.com/live/flight/VIR15Not sure why, I just found it quite exciting, I was on that flight in July last year, and it's always cool seeing flights and wondering where they're going. We get lots of the flights approaching both Gatwick and Heathrow so on a clear day you can see one every minute, or around that. It's great. Makes me want to be flying one of those birds, one day. :( Just wanted to post it somewhere LOL

While preparing for a trip later this week, my wife found a bunch of old suitcases up in the attic, and decided to get rid of them. I took them downstairs and went through to see if there was anything of value or any incriminating evidence, but found only this old baggage tag, probably from the last time we used the bag:Midway last flew in 1993. These were old hard-shell Samsonite bags, which used to be popular but nobody uses anymore.

This was mentioned on another thread so I thought I would post a follow-up...This morning my good friend Kerry and I got to shave the heads of two New Zealand MP's (Member of Parliament) to raise money for the Leukaemia & Blood Cancer New Zealand organization. We made it on National TV in New Zealand, I'm the ugly bald guy in red in this video:http://www.stuff.co....shorn-by-natureCurrently we are on all of the news feeds here in New Zealand so I am not used to being on TV like that :( But it is all for a good cause.Cheers and have a great day everyone :(
