I've been playing guitar since I was 10, started my first noisy garage band when I was 13. Lou Reed and the Velvet underground was a huge influence on me. Rest in Peace Lou Reed :( You are now jamming with all the greats up there, say hi to Kurt, Hendrix, Joplin and the rest!

Dear IF, Thank you for this game. I'm really enjoying that this can an be pursued on a tablet. I have a few questions. I have been reading and studying more about planes, but I would still say I am relatively new to it all. 1. I would like to know what degrees the markings are on the attitude indicator. 2. How accurate is the ILS glide slope info? E.g. Sydney int says it has a 3degree slope. Can I rely on this info? 3. When giving info of distance from last waypoint to the airport with the correct runway when coming in on approach, is this information accurate? Is it the distance to the nearest part of runway, middle or furthest or simply to the airport symbol…

Fellow Avsimers', I had the pleasure of flying California Girl (B742) back in '95, and I wanted to know where she is. According to airframes(.)org she apparently went on with a new life to Kabo Airlines in 2001 as 5N-PPP, but that's all I can find. Is she still flying, was she scrapped, or is she in a graveyard awaiting her fate? Thank you in advance for your help, James Andrews

We are all used to seeing winglets on just about every aeroplane nowadays. But what was the first aircraft to have them? Clue: During development the winglets were discarded as not beneficial to the design and therefore never actually appeared on the prototype and subsequent production aircraft.

Don't know if this has been disscused here yet but if you are having an Any trouble with your buildings or parts of your planes dissapering the placing HIGHMEMFIX=1 in your graffics section of your FSX CFG will fix it. It has worked very nicely for me!

Hello guys, Even tough I´ve been and active AVSIM user for years, I never made any significant contribution on this forum. I don´t know why, but I just felt the need to express this, and since I don´t know anyone in real life that appreciates flight simulation, I´ll just post this here. Pardon me for any grammatical errors, but English is not my native language. I´ve been into flight simulation for over two decades now. Aviation is one of the biggest passions of my life, but in one of those ironies of life, I actually ended up in law school, and now I work mostly with taxation on a federal and state level in Brazil. Last year I went to flight school, but realized …

Seems like this incident, (in the news recently) happened despite of using TCAS and the intervention of ATC with both pilots; the two A/C manage to get 100' from each other! How could this have happened? Especially with such modern systems and in this part of the world? http://blogs.crikey.com.au/planetalking/2013/10/22/why-did-ba-and-lh-turn-on-each-other-in-uk-airspace/

Yours truly at the controls- EVERYTHING works! Note the FlightDeck Solutions 737 FMC's (dual), every item you see other than the FMCs is the real McCoy taken from actual Boeing airplanes- the seats were $4000! Working Radio Stack, driven by Project Magenta and other custom software, ATC by PilotEdge, the greatest experience of my life in terms of entertainment! A dream come true! Thanks and gratitude to James Price for sharing his 18-year project! His pride and joy! It does NOT get any better than this- unless my bucket list #1 item is granted, and I get a break from American Airlines in a REAL WORLD plane (not likely!). This plane's nose came from a Luf…

What is the single plane cost of painting different sizes of airliners? Who does it? Does the airline typically have a paint shop? Or are there certain airports where they go to schedule a paint job by a company specializing in it?

First off let me start in saying I am truly not a fan of this cloud concept to gaming. It's like when the developer decides to pull the plug or release a buggy update your screwed as you can't revert back to what you had because you don't have the original media on hand. Microsoft's Flight was a big example of this where as people actually got screwed on the deal if ever they have to reinstall. There's no way to get what you purchased back. One can't get Alaska and all the planes purchased ever again. I've come to the conclusion anything left in the hands of others buyer be ware. Here we have the new Aerofly FS sim finally released by Just Flight. Instead of pro…

Does anyone else watch/has watched this series? I find it extremely fascinating to see how these investigators put the pieces of the puzzle together to discover why planes were brought down. I know the show has been on a for a while but I just discovered it and have been watching available episodes on YouTube. The one I watched for lunch today was moving to me. Japan Airlines Flight 123, Boeing 747 Modified. One poorly repaired plate on a pressure bulkhead wipes the plane's tail plain out and all hydraulics after the shoddy repair fails in flight. The crew managed to keep the plane aloft for 32 minutes with just the four engines. What a heroic effort. I…

...that live so far apart it would take about 166,000 miles to fly to other's homes and back. These are a few closest friends, but if we counted everyone there it would be in the many millions, incalculable, well, almost! it is always the time to connect with those you value and love. Never too early, too often or too late! Kind regards,
