  3. I just bought this app. For the folks who travel for work or pleasure and like to travel light this is by far the best Flight Sim for Android. I love it! I'm looking at getting a blue tooth game controller to go with it. Something small and compact. There are several models out there that fit the bill. But before I invest in one, will a blue tooth game controller work with Infinite Flight? :Praying: Thanks and great work on this. Love the E190, next up the B757 :Big Grin:

I decided to give My Sim a short break. I logged on to Flight Radar 24 to track the planes taking off and landing at my Home town airport, Greater Cincinnati ( KCVG ). The landing pattern tonight was right over my house. There were several 747's coming in at around 5,ooo ft. One was from Alaska , Europe and the west coast. It was supper cool. There was no delay and to go along with that, live ATC . It just doesn't get much better than that.

  5. Appears to be a minor incident, but fluid and smoke were seen from the battery compartment of a JAL 787 before its scehduled flight to Bangkok. Boeing and JAL are reportedly inspecting the aircraft. http://www.reuters.com/article/2014/01/14/japanairlines-787-battery-idUSL2N0KO10N20140114 More info at Japan Today http://www.japantoday.com/category/national/view/jal-grounds-boeing-787-dreamliner-after-battery-problem

This may be old news to everybody else, but I've just discovered this and I'm blown away. In the Google maps (browser), there's a button in the bottom right that tilts the map (this may be the Google Earth plugin). When you click this, the map automagically becomes a 3D map. They're somehow making the building pop up out of the map and they become 3D entities. Not just building either, but terrain, flora and fauna! All I need now is my plane and I'd be a very happy VFR bunny!. Come on Google. Give us a flight simulator Edit: It doesn't appear to have global coverage. I checked Lyon initially and then my home town of Reading

  9. Started by Phillip Gallagher,

There are two interesting aircraft that just came out for FSX...the Carenado B1900D and the Razbam Metroliner. I am looking to buy one of these two but wanted to do some research first and get a little feedback from people who have both. I have practically everything put out by Carenado, including the C90B and B200. I have never purchased a product from Razbam. My inclination is to go with the Metroliner as I am very impressed by the graphics and videos I've seen so far. With the the Carenado I'm not as excited since I have the C90B and B200 and they both look nearly identical in the VC to the B1900D. Any opinions?

This story is for the NGX drivers out there... US officials are investigating why a Southwest Airlines flight landed at the wrong airport, where the runway is half as long as the one at the target destination and has a steep embankment at the end. It's the second time in less than two months that a large jet has landed at the wrong U.S. airport. Southwest Airlines spokeswoman Brandy King said the captain and first officer were removed from flying duties while the airline and federal aviation safety officials investigate the mistake. The flight, carrying 124 passengers and five crew members, was scheduled to go from Chicago's Midway International A…

  12. Hello, No, the CTD I'm talking about is not the dreaded Crash to Desktop, so familiar to us all. The CTD that I am referring to is a serious affliction that affects hundreds, nay thousands of Fight Sim enthusiasts all over the globe. To the uninitiated, they appear as normal people, but to those among us, the signs are as clear as the bright sun on a cloudless day. I've no doubt that while you may not be able to tell for sure, everyone knows someone afflicted with this horribly devastating disease. It is a malady that knows no boundaries, no social classes. It crosses international borders without conscience or impediment. It has ruined relationships, destroyed caree…

Not sure if everyone has seen this, but we should get behind it! With Ballmer going out and a new leader coming in, it is time to try an rekindle the 25 year flame that MSFS had at Microsoft. I was trying to install some Northwest Airlink flight plans from 1994 this morning that require the PAI JS31 model. I went over to their website, and it looks like it was taken down a few days ago. Well, I scoured the net looking for their JS31 model, but I could find it nowhere. Now hat their website is down, is there anywhere to get PAI models? hamoody

Hi All Well I've been having a bit of a tidy up and come across some sets of damage charts for various aircraft for a company that I once worked for. None of the aircraft are in their fleet now I just wondered if it was worth putting them up for sale on ebay or do you think it wouldn't be worth it.The aircraft concerned are Boeing 757 HS748 BAC 1-11 Concorde All the copies are in practically mint condition ,curious for peoples thoughts on the matter rgds

  18. Flaps have to be down when you land so your speed can drop to a safety margin within the flight envelope. If your flaps fail you cant deploy them and you can't reduce your speed or the autothrust will kick in. So how would you lower your speed to land in an emergency where the flaps fail?

  19. All out of nowhere I was getting intermittent 2-3 seconds freezes in my FSX. I checked my system monitoring and noticed a certain exe file jumped to 2nd place every time the freeze was happening. It turns out that Microsoft Security Essentials is the culprit. It is a CPU slogger, and the freezes went away immidately when I shut it down. Just a heads up

I just booked 8 flights and a pretty good variety... Wellington to Auckland - Air New Zealand 737-300 Auckland to Vancouver - Air New Zealand 777-200 Vancouver to Toronto - Air Canada A319 Toronto to Chicago - Porter Airline Dash 8 Chicago to Toronto - Porter Airline Dash 8 Toronto to Los Angeles - Air Canada A319 Los Angeles to Auckland - Air New Zealand 777-200 Auckland to Wellington - Air New Zealand 737-300 Not a bad itinerary but I would have preferred a 747-400 from Auckland to Vancouver as they still have a few left in service. That would have been my last chance to fly on one. Those ANZ 777's will be cool as they have various Hobbit and A…

What do you think of it? is it still buggy? I want it as it is a larger plane with old style gauges that actually require input and knowledge from the pilot. I dont want an FMC/GPS equiped tube as I consider that type of AC to be 'de-skilling' and boring. Regards Tim
