When my brother was in a nursing suffering from several ailments including dementia he wandered off and fell down about three miles away. A lady found him and called an ambulance which took him to the emergency room. From there he was transported back to the nursing home. When asked where he thought he was going he said he was looking for the edge of the universe so he could step off. It looks like he never would have found it. https://www.popsci.com/science/is-the-universe-infinite/ Noel

The "new" oversized 3.5 window look in the desktop version of YouTube is causing this old fella a great deal of head-banging on desk, much gnashing of gums and tearing out of very little remaining hair. Anyone else with the same allergic reaction?

Lets hope they give us a decent plot, not the usual unadventurous "Oh its a Predator, better fight it then."

My LG tv just updated and there's an XBox app on it. The complete catalogue is there - including MSFS 2024. Everything is streamed of course, just need a controller and a game pass. I've never used a game controller but I found an old wired one that seems to work ok (ex-my son, who won't know because he's 7000 miles away). Tempted now to give MSFS a go and see what happens.

All ladies on board and the girls are very giggly and emotional. 😄 And yes, that was the ladies screaming inside the capsule as the parachute depkys. The moral of the story, gentlemen, is to take ear plugs with you if you find yourself in a capsule dominated by ladies that are celebrities.

So we are currently having one day of summer in NJ, it was 50 yesterday, 80 today and 50 tomorrow so naturally I get to rinse off the girls... This is the first time this year off the engine block heater and battery tender and cold starting the car. Videos don't do it justice sadly but on a 4 mile track if you are on the spotting tower you can actually hear anytime I go on/off throttle anywhere on the track LOL. You can actually see the lens distort from the sound when it fires up. It's completely custom race headers and exhaust with embossed tips (watch the video until the end) as a surprise to me from guys who built it... 34 pounds and 30 HP improvement o…

At $20, this Krups F203 is one of the great coffee grinders. Will also handle extremely hard spices, like cloves without any problem. Consistency of the grind is good. Cleanup is just a quick brush or paper towel wipe: super easy, barely an inconvenience. Krups has probably sold at least a half million of these over the last 20 years, counting the earlier model versions, which is what we have. Amazon sold six thousand of them last month. https://www.amazon.com/KRUPS-Electric-Coffee-Grinder-Stainless/dp/B00004SPEU/

So almost a year ago I got a new 7x14 foot trailer to house my simpit in. My simpit is 4x8 feet and is on wheels so I can wheel it in and out of the ramp door on the trailer. I didnt have time to build out the hangar when I got it and so I finally had the time and extra money to finish the build. I added all new walls ceiling and floor. Track lighting that remote controlled offering 5 different temps ranging from gold warm to blue white and is dimmable. A complete revamp of what I call the weather wall which offers light boards showing current weather of both the NY and LA sectionals as well as 7 individual different airports of SBA, MRY, SBP, VNY, SMO, CRQ and my home ai…

Hello all, What do you think is the best add-on for a twin-engine propeller, for P3D in a touring plane like the Beech King Air? Thank you in advance for your answers. Sincerely, Dominique

DR. Malcom Guite (of Camridge) biography and analysis of Samual Taylor Coleridge and his The Rime of the Ancient Mariner is, I think, one of the great commentaries upon English LIterature. He is also a fan of Tolkien and his Lord of the Rings, and it is this on which he here holds forth. Coleridge was the first romantic poet. And his great poem ushered in the age of Keats, Shelley, and Byron. All of whom opened their residences to Coleridge and his sometimes wife from time to time, as Coleridge sank into drug addiction. From which, they would help him recover. What Guite is getting at here, discoursing on Tolkien's LOTR, is how the evil of Saruman is…
