Hi all, I used http://www.simroutes.com since it was released but now it has practically ceased to exist. Doing a simple google search I found http://onlineflightplanner.org/. Are there any others ones people can recommend? Please don't link to payware products, thank you.

Hello, I've had an itch to get a Jetstream for P3d (or FSX, if necessary--no P3D available). I flew the baby Jetstream for a year back in the day. I ran across this at Aerosoft. It's a downloadable version of the PMDG Jetstream. Could anyone comment on this? Is it supported by PMDG? Does it work with FSX:SE? Etc. You know; the usual questions. I understand that PMDG is considering updating this to work with...something. FSX:SE, maybe?

Here is a fascinating article on how Chinese farmers and ordinary citizens are building their own homebrew aircraft. Some of them actually work! http://www.bbc.com/culture/story/20170312-the-amazing-flying-machines-of-chinese-farmers

Many many many Moons ago I built Airfix, Revell, Monogram, Heller and other aircraft models, starting with scale 1/72 and then later migrating into 1/48. Most of their untouched boxes awaiting their time to be assembled were long ago stolen from a house I had and used to rent :-/ Among those kit's there was one of the Graf Zeppelin... Now, sometime ago I promised my wife I would try to build a Zeppelin. It was supposed to hang from the room ceiling, maybe even turned into a "chandelier"... I was plaining to find plans to build one in cardboard, or pvc long ago, or even balsa wood, but elapor and other variants have come to wide use during the last years, s…

A s(c)andalous incident recently shook the world of aviation when a politician slapped an Air India staffer 25 times (he counted!) for "arrogance"! The weapon involved in this vicious attack was...a sandal! Now you may ask, why would you slap an airline staffer 25 times....with a sandal? Well, they denied him a business class seat....on an economy only flight! http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-39365932 sandal-ban on all flights to US or UK ìmminent... NB: Dont call it slipper!!! he insists it was a sandal:

It's been over 2 weeks now that I've been trying to access my previous orders off Aerosoft. They changed their store in February. I've had an account there since 2005. I couldn't log in because they changed the store. I followed directions to retrieve account information and got no response multiple times. Checked spam and junk with no response. Then I emailed them. 4 days later they respond with a request for more information. I responded immediately and they took another day to respond. So they found my information. I was able to log in. Now it shows I have no orders.... I follow the directions there to find old orders. Guess what no old orders. I mail again within 15…

As you can probably tell based on my profile picture, I am a Pan Am lover. I love all the classic aircraft Pan Am has flown but in the simulator world, there are no detailed and advanced addons for Pan Am's fleet through the jet age besides FlyJSim's 727 for X-Plane or maybe the Milviz 737-200. But I only have P3D and FSX and I have no real need for an entirely different simulator so really, I have next to no options to fly the same type of airframes in flight sim as my grandfather did in real life. (Of course there is CLS, Captain Sim, and Just Flight but those are intermediate to beginner grade sims) he used to captain the 707, 727, 747, and A310. All those airplanes I…

Hello AVSIM members, Just a quick question on the Glideslope please. Basically, the glideslope means the descent path that leads you to the runway. Is that correct? But I am confused, How do I stick to the glideslope and not glide away or get too low? Do I use the ILS? How do I stay at the exact -fpm and altitude and heading? Do I have to use the ILS for this? Thanks, JWMuller

I need to vent. I decided to upgrade from Windows 7 pro to Windows 10 pro. My hardware is fairly current. I7 6700k, Asus z170 deluxe MB. 16 mb of Corsair Dominator ram. Nividia 1070 GPU. I use FS2004 still because The panels I use for the planes I like don't work in FSX. Gauge and panel designers seem to be less than what we use to have in our hobby. Ok back to the upgrade... I installed Windows 10 professional. I immediately get a thread exception error. Tried everything in the book to recover, every dos command, repair disks, nothing worked. I called Microsoft support. I don't think I need to go further in explaining how that went. I do a reinstall and use the driv…
