I started with Flight Simulator 98. I didn't use it a lot, mostly just around Meigs Field. (still have the printed manual somewhere), but I started using it more when I replaced it with Flight Simulator 2000. That's when I took my first flight in a default tubliner and got hooked. I found this video that goes through all of the versions. I found it very interesting and brought back memories. Bob

I hope that a real world airline pilot can answer this question for me. Here's some background. I'm retired now after a career in finance, including aircraft from the PSA Bae146 to the more recent BBJ1. The career included the finance of business jets and various other fixed/rotary wing aircraft. I began flight sim three years ago and have the FSX and x-plane platforms with some wonderful aircraft from PMDG and other excellent developers. I'm presently looking hard at the Flight Factor 320 as my birthday present (to myself, of course). While explaining my desired "gift" to my wife, I found myself saying that these aircraft are "study-level" and close to the real thi…

In case anyone missed this, there is now exactly one Brewster F3A-1 Corsair restored to flying condition. This very rare Corsair crashed in the swamps near Cherry Point, North Carolina in 1944. Significant portions of this aircraft were salvaged in 1990, then a legal battle ensued as the USN laid claim to it. Ultimately, the USN lost that battle, now it has been completely rebuilt. http://warbirdsnews.com/warbird-restorations/brewster-f3a-corsair-takes-to-the-skies-in-breckenridge-texas.html

I've searched the forums, and it seems all posts about Project OpenSky are 8+ yrs old. Does Opensky not do planes anymore? I've searched the Library as well, and most everything I find with the posky keyword is also ancient (in computer terms). I've got a couple of their planes, and (insert Tony here) "they're great!" but I can't seem to find any others aside from the A320 that work win p3d (v4).. Ideas/suggestions? Thanks so much! /GG

Hit to all, does anyone know if there is a tool to manage screenshots for P3D? I mean something like Snapper or similar. I'd like to take a screenshot and and have an overlay of my route, example EGLL-LIRF date and time and have the chance to organize them. I only know Snapper but I don't think it works on P3d v4. Thanks to all,

I can't seem to find a dedicated forum for Flight Replicas products, so I start here. In the newly released C-54/DC-4, I cant seem to bring up the radio panel in most models. The manual says to use Shift + 4, but the only models that works for is the Douglas DC-4 Fire Fighter, which then shows a full stack of fairly modern Bendix King(?) and a selector switch for DME 1 or 2, and the Douglas DC-4 009 which only has a pair of ADF's with one of the gauges being located on the Navigator's panel. Also, is there a way to bring up any sub panels and move them to my second monitor, like the overhead panel, throttles, etc.? I have tried searching in the AVSIM forums…

I’ve tried to do some research but it keeps directing me back 737..... is this the same plane? Or a newer version? I hope this is not a stupid question but I am a little confused, Is a 737 800 also called a 738? On flightaware website there are Delta flights for 737 and 738... as if they are two different planes......I’m confused

Hello! I know about the normal speed restrictions for taxi, but is there one for the last few meters to the gate... On the turn from taxiway to the gate. At which speed the marshaller is not sweating and praying for his live when i taxi in? I always tend to loose speed too early when on the last few meters to the stop point. For example with the PMDG NGX and the fslabs Airbrush.
